The Broomfield village care home is outstanding. Most importantly the team are absolutely brilliant, they are friendly, helpful, caring and are highly trained and qualified staff. When looking for a care home there were none comparable. It is also of note that community links have been forged prior
to the opening of the facility and that organisations are starting to come to sessions on site and residents are having visits to groups and facilities off site. My stepfather is very happy and well cared for and has enjoyed all the opportunities that he has been offered, including trips out and being able to cut the ribbon on the grand opening launch of Broomfield. I have seen a remarkable transformation in his well-being. He loves the food and the pampering as well as the superb care that he is given. Regular news is also easily accessible via a family App and this helps you to feel connected to your loved one and involved in their welfare.

Simply the best.
We spent a long time researching and visiting luxury care homes, we even used respite periods to really see if these other homes lived up to our high expectations in all areas.
Only Broomfield Village Care Home ticked all the boxes.
The care, staff and management in all departments
are helpful, professional, knowledgeable and approachable, they all treat Mum with dignity, allowing her to help herself and stepping in when they see she needs some encouragement or guidance.
Broomfield is a luxurious family community of the highest standards.
The building is designed to create an environment that's welcoming to all residents and their families, including children.
When visiting, we often stay for lunch, free of charge, with Mum, like a family should (most homes do not allow this). There are many free extras, like hairdresser, chiropody, sweet/ice cream shop, toy/play area, cafes, cinema.
Broomfield updates us using an app. They post photos/videos daily and send messages to keep us involved and informed.

Walking into Broomfield Village Care Home felt like I was walking into a five-star hotel. Beautifully decorated and a warm welcome. The staff there are fantastic. Smiley, talkative, caring and attentive without being in the slightest bit patronising. The facilities are second to none with great extra
touches put in, like a sweet shop, kids area and cinema. The food was outstanding. I left feeling that my grandmother was being taken great care of in a place she'd be comfortable and happy to be.

It's really early days for Broomfield Village Care Home having only opened this month. Mum took up residence last week as only the third resident, so we await the arrival of many more residents for Mum to bond with. The level of care received, so far, is beyond expectations and how they can achieve
this in line with what can only be described as five-star hotel luxury is just mind-blowing.
The facilities are amazing, from the lounges, the salon, the cinema, the children's area, the sweet shop to the putting green, the garden room, the arts and crafts room - even a radio station room! The food is of fine dining quality - all produced on the premises - even the bread and cakes and Mum is very happy to enjoy a glass of wine with her meals. The carers and staff have made every effort to get to know Mum and how to handle her little foibles. I can't fault the non-patronising care given by each and every person. I look forward to Broomfield Village becoming a thriving village of its own within the community.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.630)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.630) out of 10 for Broomfield Village Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.948 for Broomfield Village Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (55 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 58 Ratings = 4.948

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.682 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Broomfield Village Care Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 137 registered maximum number of service users is 27.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 27.4 = 0.182

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
