Burlingham House is a beautiful historic Manor House, nestled within the Norfolk countryside.

The team is proud to offer comprehensive services tailored to meet diverse needs, including Residential and Dementia Care for long-term residents, and Respite options for short-term support and day-to-day needs.

There are lifts to all floors, wheelchair access, latest nurse-call system, hairdressers and a beauty treatment room, as well as a cinema room which is one of the home's most popular features. All rooms have phone points and radio / TV points, and each resident has their own ensuite wet room.

This palliative care is aimed at improving the quality of life for residents, their family, carers and friends.

Burlingham House is a really nice care home. The home is really clean and smells fresh. The staff are very helpful and more importantly very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them when it comes to looking after their residents.

I am a friend of a resident and when I visit, the staff always welcome me. They are very caring and make sure that they meet the resident's needs when required. The carers get time to sit and chat with the residents, which is what the residents like. There is also activities happening.

My mum has been a resident at this ever-improving home for 14 months. It is friendly and despite its size, it remains a home from home. They have some great stimulus areas and the staff are great with Mum without exception. She is comfortable here, which was one of our main concerns, and the transition
from her own home to Burlingham was relatively painless. It's nice taking her for walks in the gardens and her room is set up to remind her of her own house. The food is good and they cater to Mum's dietary requirements really well. In short, she is happy here and that is all you can really hope for. We looked at a lot of homes for Mum and found that overall, this home ticked the most boxes and made a sad and stressful time as easy as possible

I cannot thank the staff enough for the extra care they provided to my friend. The home and grounds are amazing. It's just so peaceful and relaxing.

The home itself is new and is more than 5 stars. It's a great looking house.

Fantastic !!! Exceeded all expectations!
My mother has advanced dementia, being looked after at home with 24h carers. Her health and well-being were declining rapidly. Not eating, constant falls, was losing all her strength. Personal hygiene at all levels was a real cause for concern.
Having
tried to get her into several care homes without success due to her behavioural issues Burlingham House came to the rescue!
The very special care and specific interventions have had results which can only be described as MIRACULOUS. She is so much happier in herself. Is now eating and walking again, has rebuilt her strength.
Her personal hygiene issues are being very satisfactorily dealt with. The staff at Burlingham House just seem to work miracles with my mother. They are all very experienced and so genuinely kind and caring. The house has such a wonderful relaxed efficient atmosphere that, you could not wish for better. I am very deeply indebted to each and every member of her team.

My father is in Burlington House. He is very happy. It's a home from home. The staff are friendly and very caring. More like friends than staff. It's clean and they have entertainment in lots of areas. It's just a lovely home. Bright and friendly.

My mother has been a resident at Burlingham House for nearly 3 1/2 years. During this time her mental state has deteriorated but as a family, we feel she has been looked after very well. Mums sight is very restricted so she is loath to join in activities. However, she does enjoy sing-alongs. We visit
every week and have always found the "carers" very easy to approach and they have always informed us on any issues involving mums care. There is only one thing that we would like and that is for her to have more frequent visits from GP.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.722)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.722) out of 10 for Burlingham House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.904 for Burlingham House is calculated as follows: ( (95 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 104 Ratings = 4.904

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.818 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Burlingham House is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 49 registered maximum number of service users is 9.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.8 = 0.918

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
