Halecroft Grange has been the ideal place for my mum after she broke her hip. The food, facilities and activities are second to none, and the staff are fantastic, with nothing too much trouble. We're delighted that mum is both happy and well cared for, and couldn't ask for anything more from a care
home.

My mother recently moved to Halecroft Grange. Although she is settling in nicely I thought there should have been a little more induction on the first or second day, eg. just a run through of what happens on a daily basis time wise and which type of carer assistant does which job. My mother moved
in on a Friday and maintenance does not work over the weekend so things were not properly put in place nor working until the Monday. As I do not live nearby I had no way to contact her for 36 hours!

Halecroft Grange is a wonderful place and my father is so unbelievably happy. He is treated with respect and the home goes above and beyond to make sure he is well.
We had been looking for care options for a while before we found Halecroft Grange and right from the start I knew my father would be
happy there. The community relations team were welcoming and made the move into the home as easy and quick as possible.
The staff at Halecroft Grange are highly trained and professional. They always have time to chat with residents and families. The food is excellent too.
The activities programme at Halecroft Grange has been brilliant. Since my father has been there he has had trips to Manchester and the surrounding areas and he has enjoyed a variety of daily activities.
It is wonderful to know how happy my father is at Halecroft.

Halecroft Grange is a first class care home. The home and grounds are kept beautifully and my dad's room was well appointed, bright and airy.
My dad was a resident in the Reminiscence suite which in my opinion provides an excellent experience for the residents.
The unit had a real family feel to it
and we all felt welcome and at home there.
Every member of staff that I came into contact with was excellent.
The management team were efficient and the housekeeping, cleaning and entertainment staff were wonderful.
The daytime carers were kind, respectful and caring and the night time carers were truly exemplary in every way.
In the last few days of my dad's life the dignity, compassion and sensitivity shown to Dad and all our family was outstanding. I will always be immensely grateful for the incredible love and support the staff gave to Dad, myself and all the family.
Thank you for everything.

The team bent over backwards to get my mum in for emergency respite care. She seems to have settled in well and is now happy whenever I speak with her. The staff seemed to know her name within a few days. She is also cleaner than for a long time following an assisted bath.
The rooms are huge when compared
with other residential homes I have viewed, including a kitchenette with kettle and fridge, and in very good repair.

I decided to put my husband into Halecroft Grange for a few weeks while I recovered from a knee replacement operation. I am delighted with this choice. He is very content and thinks the staff and the food are excellent. The dining room is similar to that of a first-class hotel. He has a lovely light
bedroom with access to a telephone so that he can keep in touch with friends and phone me night and morning. Whenever I visit, I find the staff friendly, polite and always helpful. I have nothing but praise for Halecroft Grange.

I now have both my mother and father in residence at Halecroft. They both have very different care needs meaning they reside in different areas of the facility, but the staff work hard to ensure they can both see each other and spend time together on a regular basis.
My mother initially went into
Halecroft on a respite basis but has felt comfortable enough to now extend this into a more permanent stay. The room staff picked out for her based on her profile (she quickly recognised the need for Mum to have access to an outside space) has been perfect and has really made the experience a pleasurable one. Mum has also been encouraged to join in some of the activities on-site and this, together with the caring attitude of all the staff, has meant that in a relatively short period of time she has started to feel a part of the bigger community.
At a difficult time for her Halecroft has really given a boost and will go a long way to making the final chapter of her life a happy one.

We were in need of a place for my mum who was increasingly struggling to care for herself at home. All three of us daughters live at a distance so it was difficult to help. Halecroft provided a speedy assessment and offered a respite place. The home, gardens and rooms are beautiful, food excellent and
staff very warm and caring. My mum is very difficult to please but she has persistently said how good all the aspects of care are at Halecroft. Thank you!

Overall my mother-in-law is well looked after. She has concerns as to the quality of the food. She is well looked after by the carers. It will be interesting to see how things develop under the new owners.

Although the provider changed to Care UK at the end of last year, the management and team in the home, as well as the ethos of quality care and lifestyle, remains the same – we also hold regular meetings for family members and residents, and our door is always open, should you have any queries, feedback and suggestions at any time. One of the areas that Care UK are particularly well known for is the emphasis on the quality of food in our care homes, and all our menus are bespoke based on the residents wishes in each home. Our chef-led team at Halecroft Grange produce meals in-house, using fresh local ingredients where possible, so we’re very sorry that your mother-in-law has concerns. We would be more than happy to sit down with her to make sure there are items on the menu she likes, and to improve in any way we can.

In my experience, my husband's carers are always cheerful, polite, helpful, informative, kind and caring. So are those who perform admin duties, and the concierge staff. The managers have always kept us duly informed during the recent pandemic and have coped admirably. Kitchen staff work hard providing
good food. Recently though, I note the gardens aren't as bright and beautiful as they used to be.

My mum only moved into Halecroft Grange one week ago but has settled in extremely well. It really does feel like her new home already. The resident activities are very extensive and varied which has enabled her to meet a large number of other residents and staff to support the settling in process.
Social interaction is critical for my mum's wellbeing and Halecroft definitely provides the environment that. Completing the 'life story' questionnaire before the resident arrives is an excellent idea and we can clearly see that this info has been utilised on food preferences, care needs and activity interests.
At this stage, we feel extremely happy with our choice.

Mum was only there for 2 weeks respite care, covid prevented her from leaving her room initially, which was not great, but understandably unavoidable. The room was spacious, bright and airy and everywhere was clean. The staff were welcoming, helpful and pleasant and if I needed information were good
about getting back to me if the right member of staff was not immediately available. The food looked lovely. As my Mum was able to manage her own medication, she was allowed to carry on with this, rather than it having to be dealt with by the staff, which I felt gave her some degree of independence. Thank you to all.

Job Title: General Manager

My name is Suzi Sumegi, I am a qualified nurse and I have worked within the field of care for the past 34 years. I have gained an extensive knowledge base on care delivery and throughout the years, I have also obtained a certificate in management. I re-joined Halecroft Grange after a seven-year absence and I am thrilled to have re-joined a fabulous team. It is an honour and a pleasure to care for the residents at Halecroft Grange, and it is my ultimate goal to ensure we, as a team, deliver the highest standards of care with a person-centred approach.
