Berkeley House has been purpose-built to suit the practice of professional care at the same time as allowing its residents to live a satisfying day-to-day lifestyle. All care delivery is person-centred, with a focus on independent living.

Berkeley House offers long and short-term residential care, including dementia, palliative and convalescence.

Situated in Bilton Grange, Berkeley House offers a safe and friendly environment with first class accommodation and a range of facilities. The home features large landscaped gardens, a recently refurbished salon (2021) a shop, a library, a sensory room and music and activity rooms. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and come with ensuite facilities, while premier rooms offer a larger living space complete with their own front door and garden.

Residents can enjoy a variety of homecooked meals, freshly prepared by the on-site chef who ensures all dietary preferences are taken into account. The daily menu is clearly displayed in large print on the dining rooms display boards.

Supporting an interesting and homely lifestyle, Berkeley House residents enjoy a popular activities programme as well as hobbies and regular events.

Since my mother's previous home closed down we had the big decision of finding another suitable one. We decided on Berkeley as we had a very good feel for the home. Friendly, caring and very helpful staff and management.
We weren't disappointed. My mother has settled in with no problems at all. Updates
are given regularly.

My mum is now a permanent resident at Berkeley Care Home after being there for respite care earlier in the year. I was so relieved that because she now requires permanent care, Berkley House came up as one of the alternatives. Wonderful caring staff provide the best care you could hope for in a clean
friendly and pleasant environment. All you could wish for, for your elderly relative.

A lovely care home and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It's nice to see my dad smiling again and that is all due to the care home and the amazing care they give. They always keep me informed of his progress and changes and I am so glad we have found such a lovely place for my dad to

I cannot speak too highly for my husband's care he always seemed happy which is what I always wanted for him. They really seemed to care for him and put themselves out for him, they also said he was no trouble that was his nature. I loved him very much and was so happy with his care. I would recommend
Berkeley House to anyone. I have told my family if I end up in a home that is where I want to go. I have always been satisfied with my husband's care.

Mum has lived at Berkeley for just over a year. It's a great worry making a decision like this about a family member. It's important. I have to say, the staff at Berkeley made the change from Mum living at home on her own, to being amongst, initially strangers, a relatively easy process. Whatever happens,
we are always kept informed and I never feel a nuisance asking questions. The staff are lovely and truly care about the residents, with all their little foibles. I feel Mum is happy and safe and really appreciate all the staff have done for us all.

We are all aware of the Covid situation in care homes. The latest guidelines, like all previous guidance, has been followed implicitly to which the staff will rightly say "we have had no coronavirus incidents", however, this is and has been detrimental to residents health and well being. The home/Bupa
seem to have used the guidance to aid reputation at the expense of resident well being.
The latest guidance being applied results in only 3 x 45min visits per day or 1 visit per fortnight (if available via bookings) due to staffing levels and "only 1 screen in the garden"? To visit a 90year old outside in a garden (weather permitting) in the last years of life after 4 months of lockdown where there is no contact (mask/gloves to be worn) and a staff chaperone is punitive.
These measures introduced could have been done 4-6 weeks ago had a home-related or dynamic resident well being/risk assessment analysis been done. The management of risk/benefit has been and continues to be poor.

Our mother has been in Berkeley House for over a year now. All the staff are very caring and efficient. She has been very well cared for, kept clean, and well-fed during the lockdown. The boss has done everything possible to keep us in touch. Facetime and phone calls. I can't praise, everyone, enough.

I am very happy with the care and support my mam receives. She is happy and content and looks well looked after. You can always speak to the staff, which I have done throughout lockdown. I'm very sad that I'm unable to visit mam, but knowing she is getting well-looked after makes the situation a lot
easier to deal with. All the staff and management are great and do a wonderful job.

This place is absolutely amazing! Since my grandad came here, they’ve been nothing short of fantastic. They make sure there are multiple activities for him to do and make sure he always participates. Huge thanks for all of their help. 10/10, would recommend!

Usually, I come during day so don't usually see night staff. But Dad waiting for the doctor. The night staff were very professional, caring and went the extra mile to look after Dad. Also, two of the day staff stayed behind to assist after the shift had ended.

My mum has recently moved to Berkeley House Care Home. No one wants to put their parent in a care home but Berkeley House is amazing, of all the home I viewed it ticked every box. The staff are caring, friendly and professional, not only to my mum but are attentive to me, keeping me informed on all

Some of my previous roles have included; Senior Night Lead, Area Trainer, and Deputy Manager and I are now in the role of Home Manager. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of fields within health and social and have many transferable skills and knowledge that I have gained over the years.


In my personal life, I am a massive animal lover, I love reading and music. My ideal evening is sitting by the fire with my dog at my feet reading a good book.

I have worked at Berkeley House Care home since 2018 but worked at another Bupa Care Home prior to this for 13 years. My main roles before becoming an Activities Coordinator were housekeeping and laundry. My journey with Bupa began as a housekeeper until my Unit Manager put me forward to the activities team. I haven’t looked back since! I applied for a job at Berkeley House as a new opportunity and the rest is history.
I am local to Berkeley House, just a five-minute walk away. I have a husband, two daughters and four grandchildren. My hobbies are going on holiday, seeing my friends and I am passionate about my eyelashes! I like music, dancing and being happy. My motto is “If you’re happy, I’m happy”.

My career with Bupa began at the beginning of 2021, and I work in the maintenance department. I have nine years’ experience working in the facilities maintenance sector, five years of this was working at one of the top performing academies in the UK. I am now bringing my multi-trade skills to the care home sector to expand my knowledge, as well as supporting the residents as much as I can. I enjoy my role because every day is different.
