Berkeley House has been purpose-built to suit the practice of professional care at the same time as allowing its residents to live a satisfying day-to-day lifestyle. All care delivery is person-centred, with a focus on independent living.

Berkeley House offers long and short-term residential care, including dementia, palliative and convalescence.

Situated in Bilton Grange, Berkeley House offers a safe and friendly environment with first class accommodation and a range of facilities. The home features large landscaped gardens, a recently refurbished salon (2021) a shop, a library, a sensory room and music and activity rooms. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and come with ensuite facilities, while premier rooms offer a larger living space complete with their own front door and garden.

Residents can enjoy a variety of homecooked meals, freshly prepared by the on-site chef who ensures all dietary preferences are taken into account. The daily menu is clearly displayed in large print on the dining rooms display boards.

Supporting an interesting and homely lifestyle, Berkeley House residents enjoy a popular activities programme as well as hobbies and regular events.

Berkeley is a clean and presentable home. I feel there are a few minor issues at present, but other problems have been dealt with by the new manager.
The majority of the staff are very friendly, but very busy. This stops a lot of interaction with the residents.
My mother has a good appetite, and has
no complaints regarding the food served. Fluids are now more available in the rooms and in the lounge, but many of the residents need encouragement to drink but are unable to serve themselves.
All in all, Berkeley is a comfortable, clean and normally happy care home, and I wouldn't discourage anyone not to apply to live there.

I have worked in the care sector since 2008, and I have been with Bupa since 2017. Some of my previous roles have included; Senior Night Lead, Area Trainer, and Deputy Manager and I are now in the role of Home Manager. I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of fields within health and social and have many transferable skills and knowledge that I have gained over the years.


In my personal life, I am a massive animal lover, I love reading and music. My ideal evening is sitting by the fire with my dog at my feet reading a good book.

I have worked at Berkeley House Care home since 2018 but worked at another Bupa Care Home prior to this for 13 years. My main roles before becoming an Activities Coordinator were housekeeping and laundry. My journey with Bupa began as a housekeeper until my Unit Manager put me forward to the activities team. I haven’t looked back since! I applied for a job at Berkeley House as a new opportunity and the rest is history.
I am local to Berkeley House, just a five-minute walk away. I have a husband, two daughters and four grandchildren. My hobbies are going on holiday, seeing my friends and I am passionate about my eyelashes! I like music, dancing and being happy. My motto is “If you’re happy, I’m happy”.

My career with Bupa began at the beginning of 2021, and I work in the maintenance department. I have nine years’ experience working in the facilities maintenance sector, five years of this was working at one of the top performing academies in the UK. I am now bringing my multi-trade skills to the care home sector to expand my knowledge, as well as supporting the residents as much as I can. I enjoy my role because every day is different. There are always new challenges and rewards, along with plenty of laughs and smiles. My main hobbies are spending time with my family and going abroad with my partner.
