A big improvement since they have had a new Manageress. Regular staff instead of temp staff. Going in the right direction. Better communications. Well done to everyone, staff and management.

New management made changes to surroundings in the care home.
Paperwork is more clear to understand.
Grandmother's needs are met more efficiently, although there is a language barrier.
Prompts put in place in Punjabi-English for staff to communicate with granny.
Aids used to help granny and
staff (e.g. hoist).
Granny treated with dignity and respect.

Since my father has joined the home, back in 2015, the quality of care and appearance of the home has improved very much. Creating an environment suitable for such people who rely on care and support in difficult times. Further improvements are helping to bring staff together and create a nice place
to work and visit family or friends, even when people are unwell at times.

All the staff are friendly, polite and caring. The facilities are good with a large pleasant garden which Mom particularly enjoyed until she could no longer get about. Nurses and management are responsive to requests and suggestions concerning care and health requirements. The food is basic and plentiful
and would benefit from a more imaginative approach to vegetables rather than reliance on predominately carbohydrate-based meals.

Staff are really pleasant and helpful and they care for all the individual needs of the residents. I would recommend Bentley Court to friends. The staff are always friendly and welcoming to the families of residents.

We arrived today 3rd October and Mum was looking well, although a lot slower due to her dementia. The staff are always very friendly and seemed very happy in their work. There is always a helping hand from all the staff. I felt happy leaving Mum today as she was very calm.

The staff are friendly. I have not seen anything that would cause me concern with regards to my nan if my nan needs anything staff crack on which is good.

My aunt has been at Bentley Court for around 12 months now, just recently there have been a lot of improvements made. It's very warm and welcoming, the new manager is like a breath of fresh air. Staff are fantastic, friendly and really look after my aunt. I am really happy that she is really happy and
I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else.

Improvements have been noted during the last 4 months. Including cleanliness, lack of smell. Consistency of staff and visibility of consistent nursing staff.
Safety and dignity of residents seem to be the main focus again.
The home feels less frantic and calmer which can only benefit residents.
An
interest in residents' past, likes, dislikes, characters is being taken which means treatment can be designed accordingly.
Safeguarding software would improve documenting and tracking of issues.

Very satisfied with Bentley Court. Staff do their best and always show love and dignity to all residents, food at times could have more variation, but on the whole, it is a happy working environment to be in and would recommend the home to anyone. Nurses are always caring and on the ball for all.

My wife has been in care for almost 12 months and the staff are very caring and respectful. She seems perfectly happy in her circumstances. She enjoys her meals and the selection. She enjoys the different activities that are put on daily. All in all, she seems quite happy.

Initially, my husband had trouble settling in and there were occasionally problems with care.
Recently I feel care and services have improved and he is more settled.
The staff have always been kind and caring taking trouble to address any issues arising.

My mom is happy here. The nurses and care staff are friendly and approachable and I like that. The new manager is a breath of fresh air around the place. The staff do everything in their power to ensure that my mom is looked after and as a family, we enjoy some great banter with the staff/nurses.
This
is a difficult job which I couldn't do on a permanent basis so hats off to them.

The staff are excellent and my father loves them. He is well cared for, looked after and perhaps a little bit spoilt. The staff listen to his needs and do everything they can to make his life as comfortable as possible. Thanks!

My mother was a resident of Bentley Court for two months before she had to return to hospital.
The reviews we saw before she went were a bit mixed, but we were very happy with the level of care she received. There always were plenty of staff around, and they were energetic and helpful, with a good
manner.
We had a good experience of the home, and we would happily recommend it to others.

Care provided is second to none. Mom is cared for by the best staff who are kind, calm, compassionate and caring.


We have no concerns about leaving mom there knowing that on her final lap of life, she is being given the care that we were no longer able to provide. Well done to them all.

The fact is there are 76 residents as of now and only 13 staff on shift in the day when fully staffed, and 5 at night when fully staffed. It is impossible to give basic care. The staff struggle and strive in trying to meet the many needs of multiple residents. It's clear to see the staff are not able
to provide time to spend with residents as the volume of work they have thrown upon them makes it literally impossible, this is not acceptable in 2018. Every now and again the desensitizing managers will try to occupy the minds of staff with the ideals of a new structure to somehow deal with the monolithic workload aiming to make the home an enchanting viable workspace. This is condescending and simultaneously a self-admission there is real issues. The staff can not do more than they already are, trying to apply new structure only repeats a monotonous short-lived change, this change suggests staff and structure is the issue. This is obviously not the issue when staff are running at 110%.

Have a relative in there this is a very poor so-called care home. The stench hits you when you go in, resident not happy there. Men in with women where some women take their tops off. The tray that relative was eating off filthy. Some residents more ill with dementia than others consequently shouting
and banging. Seems they have lost everyone's glasses and such. What a sad way to have to end up in there at the end of someone's life. I feel so sorry for every single one of these of these people in this poorly run home.
