Hampton Grove Care Home offers residential care in a modern care home located within landscaped gardens in Hampton Vale on the outskirts of Peterborough. All accommodation is en suite with a wet-room style shower. The home offers a hairdressing salon, community bar and a vibrant activities programme.

The home provides residential, respite, palliative and dementia care. Bedrooms are set across four floors and each floor has two living rooms and its own dining room, allowing residents to relax and socialise.

Residents can enjoy the home's landscaped gardens which include a seating area and gazebo, which is ideal for socialising. Meals are freshly prepared onsite by trained chefs, who offer a range of nutritious and tasty meals, catering for special dietary requirements.

While the activities coordinators are responsible for overseeing a varied and busy activities programme, they are supported by the wider Barchester Life Enrichment team who provide access to a wide range of virtual and interactive resources including Oomph to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

We placed Mum into respite care at Hampton Grove Care Home following a fall at home. She initially required 24-hour care due to her injuries and loss of confidence. She has recovered significantly thanks to the care of the staff.
A special mention to the senior carer, carers and deputy (who welcomed
my mum on the first night when she was very anxious).
Thanks to her care, she has recovered and returned home. Overall, a very positive experience.

I have been lucky enough to spend 17 days at Hampton Grove Care Home after a full hip replacement surgery. During this time I found every member of the staff to be helpful, kind and patient. Excellent service-Well recommended. I would like to make three suggestions: Hooks to be provided in bathrooms
for towels and clothing. Also, a gong would be useful to call residents to the dining room at mealtimes and every resident to be informed of the fire procedures on arrival at the home.

Dad has been in Barchester Hampton Grove since September and I can now say with confidence that we made the right decision in choosing there for his care.
We were very emotional and torn having to decide to take Dad out of his home and into the safety of a care home, but all the staff and management
at the care home have been so friendly and approachable and have worked with us on any teething problems along the way.
Dad took a month or so to properly settle in, which is to be expected - it's a big change, but the carers have been amazing at building a rapport with him and making him feel more at home.
When Dad has been poorly or had additional care needs, the staff are quick to notice and organise doctors and nurses when needed. They keep in close contact with us on matters too.
I can recommend Barchester Hampton Grove as a well-run and caring place for your loved ones with dementia as we have had a positive experience there for the last 3 months.

I am a Pets as Therapy volunteer and visit with my dog Herbie every fortnight, who the residents and staff love. The home is always welcoming and it is obvious that the staff go to great lengths to promote a caring and happy atmosphere. The ladies that run the life enrichment programme are tireless
and the residents here benefit from many activities and outings. Definitely the best care home I have visited.

My mother spent a couple of years at Hampton Grove Care Home. She was always happy and very content with the home and the staff.
The activities are always entertaining and very suitable for her limited mobility. She had trips out to the coast and a visit by a horse! To name but a few.
Sadly my mother
passed away in August and at this time she was treated with such respect and love we were very touched. A safe and friendly environment for your loved ones.

I wouldn't want my Mum to be anywhere else. Mum has dementia and Alzheimer's and is looked after very well. They always call me if anything untoward and also to update me on anything to do with Mum. Mum thinks she's in a Hotel and she might as well be as the staff treat her lovely.

I only saw the dining room, it was very nice. I have not seen my friend's room. It would have been better to do a review on my second visit when I have had more time with my friend.

My aunt has been in Hampton Grove since January 2022. I have always found the staff very caring to all the residents. She has been encouraged to interact with other residents in the lounge/dining room and participate in any craft/events. The nurses and carers have helped me on numerous occasions, explaining
different issues or if she is upset when I leave. All her medical needs have been met, and I'm always informed and supported. Thank you for your care home.

I have been working at Hampton Grove for many years now and my passion since I was very young has always been looking after the elderly. 


Our residents have so many fantastic stories that they share and I really enjoy getting to know their families and friends too when they come to visit. 


I really enjoy working at Hampton Grove and nothing drives me more than providing the best possible care for all of our residents who choose to make Hampton Grove their home.

Originating from Country Durham, I lived in Cape Town, South Africa for 40 years before coming to the UK 2 years ago and joining the team at Hampton Grove in 2020. I was inspired on following my father's illness in 2017 to explore a career in care. I enjoy looking after people, and caring for their needs, I find making them smile is extremely fulfilling. In my spare time, I love to read and go hiking in the UK's beautiful countryside.

Hi, my name is Duncan and I am the Second Chef here at Hampton Grove.


As Second Chef I help to lead the Kitchen and Hospitality teams to create sociable dining experiences for our residents. This includes everything from ensuring the Sunday roast meets the residents' high standards, to designing meals which supplement residents' dietary requirements, and much more.


New recipes are always welcome in the kitchen and we love to discuss residents preferences regularly.

Hi, my name is Cassie and I am the Head Chef here at Hampton Grove.


Being Head Chef means that I am responsible not only for the resident's nutrition but also for ensuring that they have a wonderful dining experience. Alongside daily nutritious meals, my team and I fill the cafe with delicious cakes, create regular afternoon tea parties, host private dining events and support the Activities team with their life enrichment programme. 


I love meeting new residents and discussing their favourite foods with them.

Hi, my name is Paul and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Hampton Grove.


As the Head of Maintenance, I make sure the home and gardens are maintained to a high standard. We are very proud of our beautiful home and the whole team works hard to ensure that our residents enjoy living here.


It is my responsibility to make sure every resident's stay here is as comfortable as possible and I am always on hand to help residents with putting up a new picture, installing a new TV or rearranging their furniture. 


My door is always open to anyone who has an idea about improving the home in any way.

Hi, my name is Dan and I'm part of the maintenance team here at Hampton Grove.


My role is to ensure that the home is always in tip-top condition.


Since joining the team I have also taken on the role of Health & Safety Champion. It is my duty to keep the building in good repair and ensure everyone’s safety.


Hampton Grove is a lovely home with lovely gardens, and everyone who visits us is guaranteed a warm and welcoming hello.
