Hampton Grove Care Home offers residential care in a modern care home located within landscaped gardens in Hampton Vale on the outskirts of Peterborough. All accommodation is en suite with a wet-room style shower. The home offers a hairdressing salon, community bar and a vibrant activities programme.

The home provides residential, respite, palliative and dementia care. Bedrooms are set across four floors and each floor has two living rooms and its own dining room, allowing residents to relax and socialise.

Residents can enjoy the home's landscaped gardens which include a seating area and gazebo, which is ideal for socialising. Meals are freshly prepared onsite by trained chefs, who offer a range of nutritious and tasty meals, catering for special dietary requirements.

While the activities coordinators are responsible for overseeing a varied and busy activities programme, they are supported by the wider Barchester Life Enrichment team who provide access to a wide range of virtual and interactive resources including Oomph to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.

I find all staff, including the receptionists, very helpful. My wife appears to be well looked after and has settled in quite well. Although I only visit once a week, the carers keep me well informed of her health and situation, for which, I am grateful. On the whole, I'm well satisfied with everything
as this gives me peace of mind, for which, I am most grateful.

This care home is well staffed, clean and friendly. We had lunch with one of the residents, and the food was of excellent value. Bedrooms were of good size with ensuite bathroom, TV, etc.

Mum was cared for here for three weeks after a traumatic and lengthy hospital stay. She was very well looked after it was an ideal place for her to recuperate. The staff were very friendly and kind. The management was very professional. I would definitely use again.

My mum has lived at the care home for seven and a half years no and has always been treated with kindness and compassion by all members of staff; carers, cleaning staff, receptionists, activity organisers, kitchen staff. In spite of her severe dementia she still loves her daily cooked breakfast and
understands that those looking after her are kind.

Visited my Father on the 1st of July and he was wearing his pyjamas bottom, even though he has over twelve pairs of trousers all labelled. Apparently, they have all disappeared and his pyjamas were the only option. He was also wearing someone else’s slippers even though we noticed he had a very swollen
foot and the carers did not know if it was infected. He also was wearing someone's shirt. Two weeks ago when we visited he didn’t have any socks on and we’re told he didn’t have any even though he has more than twenty-five pairs. Finally, he had the worst haircut I have ever seen and how anyone thought this was acceptable completely amazes me. My father is not able to complain. As a visit is the only chance relatives have to see their loved ones it is just not acceptable.

Absolutely disgusted since Barchester took over. The room and toilet are filthy! When I took Dad out this week, I took photographic evidence. Dad never had his clothes and always someone else's. Dad's new clothes were "lost". I lost a lot of money. Dad's fingernails are always filthy and long. Dad has
lost over two stone, looks awful, dirty, thin and uncared for.

Mum has only been at Hampton Grove for 4 months but appears happy and settled. It's a credit to the staff how they have coped during this difficult lockdown period. My sister and I have been able to visit Mum in the pod which has been great and the staff have been very accommodating in fitting us in,
for that we are very grateful, thank you. Knowing mum is safe and being looked after is a huge relief. The outside needs a tidy-up.

This review is having to be done during Covid restrictions so for me personally. I have not been inside the care home since the first lockdown, so I cannot technically say truly what the rooms and inside are like. I would however like to say I'm very impressed with the Pod rooms available to us and
the staff have been and are excellent. As a family were are happy that our relative has been kept safe during this awful pandemic.

Obviously, during the pandemic, it has been difficult to really give a well-informed opinion of the overall facilities and care. From the good rapport, my mum has with the carers that I have seen I am pleased that she is comfortable in their care. I hope soon that hairdressing will resume and other
activities to raise my mums' interest. A little disappointed that we can only have one visit a week at the moment and it can be difficult sometimes to speak to mum on the phone.

It is with regret that this will be my last review as my mum passed away last weekend, but I just wanted to say one last time what a great home this is and my mum was looked after brilliantly. All the staff knew my mum and us as a family and for the last five and a half years all I have is praise for
each and every one of the staff. They became part of our family too, it's been a tough year with covid but even though I couldn't see mum I knew she was well-loved and cared for. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Duncan and I am the Second Chef here at Hampton Grove.


As Second Chef I help to lead the Kitchen and Hospitality teams to create sociable dining experiences for our residents. This includes everything from ensuring the Sunday roast meets the residents' high standards, to designing meals which supplement residents' dietary requirements, and much more.


New recipes are always welcome in the kitchen and we love to discuss residents preferences regularly.

Hi, my name is Cassie and I am the Head Chef here at Hampton Grove.


Being Head Chef means that I am responsible not only for the resident's nutrition but also for ensuring that they have a wonderful dining experience. Alongside daily nutritious meals, my team and I fill the cafe with delicious cakes, create regular afternoon tea parties, host private dining events and support the Activities team with their life enrichment programme. 


I love meeting new residents and discussing their favourite foods with them.

Hi, my name is Paul and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Hampton Grove.


As the Head of Maintenance, I make sure the home and gardens are maintained to a high standard. We are very proud of our beautiful home and the whole team works hard to ensure that our residents enjoy living here.


It is my responsibility to make sure every resident's stay here is as comfortable as possible and I am always on hand to help residents with putting up a new picture, installing a new TV or rearranging their furniture. 


My door is always open to anyone who has an idea about improving the home in any way.

Hi, my name is Dan and I'm part of the maintenance team here at Hampton Grove.


My role is to ensure that the home is always in tip-top condition.


Since joining the team I have also taken on the role of Health & Safety Champion. It is my duty to keep the building in good repair and ensure everyone’s safety.


Hampton Grove is a lovely home with lovely gardens, and everyone who visits us is guaranteed a warm and welcoming hello.

Whether that's a cut, colour or perm; I'm here to help. I work on Tuesdays and Thursdays and can be booked through reception.
