Cambridge Manor is an excellent care home. The home itself is bright and beautifully decorated with many facilities for clients and relatives. The staff are exceptional ranging from the home manager to all the cleaning ladies. I have the utmost respect and admiration for all of them. Every member of
staff is welcoming and supportive. My husband is settled in the home and I am totally confident that he is safe in their hands. I have been visiting the home for five years and throughout that time I have witnessed care and dedication daily to the residents.

The staff are welcoming at reception. Nursing staff on top floor look after my friend very well. She is bed bound with severe dementia so is unable to use facilities and activities. All staff treat her with respect and kindness.

Dad has been well looked after since he arrived in November. Staff have been willing to listen to any concerns and resolve them through. When Dad has been unwell, they were quick to involve the Doctor. Dad moved down from the dementia unit to the ground floor and this was well-managed. On one occasion,
I phoned through to reception and asked for a message to be passed to Dad saying I couldn't see him that day and it was not given to him. This caused him some distress and I was upset. There have also been occasions when his bed has not been made. However, overall I am very pleased with his care that he receives.

Mum had always said she would never leave her home but one day she said she thought she might like to look. I dropped in unannounced, they showed us a typical room and then introduced me to the manager. A 'quick visit' turned into a long interview about mums needs. We took mum to have a look and she
was thrilled and excited at the prospect of moving in! She kept enquiring when she was going to be able to go in. Since moving in, mums care has been first rate, nothing is too much trouble. I have had regular phone calls regarding mums health. She is so much happier and has settled in so well. Shortly after moving in, I was phoned as mum deteriorated rapidly overnight. When I arrived the staff were totally professional. Once mum was discharged from hospital, the staff have been so thorough in keeping a close eye on her health and well being. The staff are friendly, happy and always available to talk to us. I wouldn't have my mother live anywhere else now, she really is so happy to be at Cambridge Manor.

We were welcomed and helped to settle in on the 7th of February 2014 by the senior nurse.
The care home look after my dad with dignity and compassion because his mobility is not good.
The care home I feel will help him lead as good a life as possible.
The time taken to see him when his buzzer is
rung, could be better, but then nurses have others to care for as well.
Allowances therefore need to be made in these situations.

I visit every 3 months for a week and one of my brother visits weekly. We all feel, together with my mother (who is in the home) very positive about the home. My mother is appreciative of the help she has. My mother says: she feels she has appropriate attention and the atmosphere is always positive
and kind. If she asks for something it is listened to. She feels she'd like to see the GP more often as at the moment she is not feeling well (she did see the GP a few days ago however). Friends/family can come in anytime and are always accommodated well by the staff who are always polite. I always find that the staff say "yes" to any requests I make. I feel very secure with my mother being here. I have confidence.

Very friendly, helpful, professional staff, manager, kitchen staff, carers, nurses, auxiliary staff. All this makes for a smooth running of this large care home. Activities and entertainment good. There is a good ambiance as you enter. The care managers and reception staff are very welcoming.

I have been visiting my best friend at this home for 7 months now and cant recommend it highly enough. All the staff without fail are always pleasant and helpful and also look smart, something I find lacking whilst visiting another friend locally in a different home. The home is clean welcoming and
my good friend only ever has nice things to say about it and everyone here. Hopefully I will never need the services of a care home but if I do I would be happy to come here.

We had to find a care home at very short notice when the hospital discharged dad just before Christmas. We are delighted with the welcome we were all given and by the care given since then. All the staff we have met are professional, friendly and very supportive. The building is very clean and welcoming.
The food choices are amazing. Everything about the home is exactly what we would have wished and we are so grateful to have found such an amazing place in very difficult circumstances.
