Dear Karen, Thank you for acknowledging our brilliant wellbeing/activities team as well as the fabulous food and drink that our kitchen team lovingly prepare for our residents. It's regretful that you feel the overall standard of the home is low, as all team members ensured that Mum was as happy and as comfortable as possible (for instance our home manager cutting and styling mum's hair in an attempt to make her feel better). Your praise of the cleanliness of our home in your statement contradicts the low rating for the same subject. We are extremely proud of all of our staff and all the hard work that they do to make sure that the home is clean and the residents are safe, happy and treated with dignity throughout their stay at Cambridge Manor.

She has been through so much and we are so happy to see her thriving at Cambridge Manor - surrounded by friends and enjoying the homely environment. I noticed that you haven't scored the activities, I can assure you that Mum participates in a wide rage of activities throughout the day and she is a formidable domino player! I will send you information on how to access Mum's Care Plan which outlines what she does on a day-to-day basis including the activities, food and drink and so on. Some relatives are interested in this and some not - it's completely up to you and Mum (if she is happy for you to have this). We so enjoy having Mum with us and are looking forward to the time when you and your family can join us in the gardens for a cup of tea.

We always put our residents' needs first and we are glad this has been reflected in your experience. Relatives and friends are welcome at Cambridge Manor and we appreciate your contribution to our activities and meetings. We welcome feedback and suggestions always on how we may improve our services and it is so valuable to us to have families who contribute to this.
If you would like to arrange a time to discuss Dad's restrictive diet with Chef then he would welcome this. He has recently updated a new range of diabetic desserts and snacks to try and tempt him!
