Sunrise have treated my nan with nothing but dignity and respect and she loves the well thought out activity schedule. She loves the food and even though due to her dietary requirements this has to be blended it's still presented in a beautiful manner and she feels like she is eating the same as her
fellow residents.

My father has Parkinsons. We briefed Sunrise and had a lengthy home visit by the care team agreeing to a 30 day trial period prior to becoming a permanent resident. We were told he would have to share a bathroom for a few weeks and were given a scale of costs but nothing concrete. As we arrived,
an email came through saying the cost of care had been calculated and was almost double the amount predicted. By this stage, it was too late to turn around. From the start, it was apparent the care team had no knowledge of the discussions with the sales team and no knowledge of everything agreed at the home visit.


At the end of the 30 days, we were called in and asked it we had ordered a taxi for him or if they should.


I think Sunrise is suited to residents wanting a hotel like facility with the reassurance of care on call. It was not suitable for my father who had nursing needs and Parkinson's but still wanted mental stimulation and an element of individual thought and choice.

As soon as I walked through the front door I was greeted with a smile, everyone I have met has been lovely and had the biggest, warmest smiles. It seems everyone here is just as happy as my aunt. Thankfully it has been sunny today so we made the most of the beautiful gardens. Always a pleasure. Thank

On the whole, care is good. But, when 2 members of staff help me, they are inclined to talk to each other and ignore me. This annoys me. Generally the staff are helpful to my needs, but the off one is less inclined to help, and expects me to struggle. (I am of poor mobility).
Food is "hit & miss",
some days are worse than others!! Frequently there are no clean mugs, cups, spoons etc, available in the "bistro", especially when visitors are around. Generally, a comfortable place to stay.

All the staff at Sunrise have been excellent in looking after my mother. From the time we enquired about vacancies to the time my mother came to Sunrise in early September. The director of community relations has been superb in organising her accommodation and well being during this month a really
excellent care home with very caring and well trained staff.

My husband and I came here in December 2013, he had parkinsons disease and died. I have continued living here in the same rooms with our furniture (some of which he made himself.) The staff are all pleasant and polite. The food is good. There is a good programme of events and entertainment.

Very contented - have a decent sized room with locking door. I have all my own furniture and I enjoy the exercises class and have started painting which I really enjoy. I like the trips out on the Sunrise bus. Our driver is excellent.

We found all the staff helpful and professional at all times. They made sure all the clients were looked after. They never minded you asking them questions. The food was always good and as my dad was on a soft diet they tried to make it as appetising as possible.

As you walk into Sunrise there is an immediate feeling of warmth and welcome. The staff are very loving and extremely kind, and give you their time. They listen to you. There are a lot of activities here which are good, and outings on the bus 2 to 3 times a week.
