Bramley House provides luxury care in a beautiful environment. Bramley House is in the bustling village of Mere, just beneath the South Downs. Mere has a lively range of shops and pubs, as well as a tearoom and a post office.

At Bramley House, all residents have comfortable, beautifully styled bedrooms, a choice of light and airy living and dining rooms, and even a luxury hair salon. The large orangery and patio look out onto the beautiful, landscaped gardens, with a pond and pergolas. The well-maintained raised beds make it easy for residents to enjoy the plants, and for anyone wishing to be more energetic to do some gardening of their own. Even the chickens are friendly!

The team of dedicated care staff are fully trained to provide round-the-clock, quality care for all residents, and are experienced in helping any residents living with dementia.

The on-site kitchen team produces a variety of healthy home-cooked meals using fresh produce. They cater for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements and snacks are always available. The energetic activities co-ordinators provide a busy schedule of engaging events and activities, so residents remain active and engaged.

My husband received a very warm welcome at Bramley House, he is receiving very good care and delicious food.
Bramley House is comfortable, it is warm, feels like home and very clean.
All the staff are warm, friendly and well trained and discreet.

My mother has been there for over 10 years. She has been looked after mostly but she had a bad fall unnecessarily, leaving a bad scar on her face. Recently I visited with my sister, her hair had not been washed and her shoes had holes in their soles. We were not alerted. The carpet in her room, which
is tiny (same price) is completely worn out and rucked so it is a trip hazard. I am not impressed by this home.

Personal care is provided daily, and our records confirm this is consistently upheld. Regarding her shoes, we promptly identified the need for replacement and called your sister on 6 December to advise. The issue was resolved very quickly thereafter. Following your feedback, we have asked our maintenance team to review the carpet in her room to ensure it remains safe. The fall you mentioned occurred six years ago in the garden and, while unfortunate, was an accidental incident that we addressed at the time. Our records indicate that it left no ongoing issues or concerning scars. We greatly value the relationship we have with your family and encourage you to contact us directly to discuss this further. The Bramley House team looked after our mum for nearly two years after - aged 96 - she was no longer safe in her own home. She was very well treated and cared for with great compassion during this period, particularly in her final months. We are very grateful to them.

I am 86 and my wife is of the same age. She has dementia, I look after her and have taken advantage of 1 day per week care (9am-5pm) respite.
She is happy at Bramley House. She talks to everyone. The staff are second to none.

Mum has settled into life in a care home extremely well. The staff have been very sensitive to her quirky needs and in general, have a very flexible and personalised approach to caring for her. They have sensitively managed her occasional outbursts and always inform me of any incidents. She always enjoys
the activities (unless it's flower arranging!) and loves any trips.

Excellent care home, more like a country hotel. Staff in the majority are long-term. Food is cooked on-site and geared towards more elderly residents. Beautiful gardens, which residents are encouraged to use and help with planting etc. Also, good social activities geared towards events outside the home.

There is a calm, caring and friendly atmosphere at Bramley House. The home is efficiently run with all the staff working as a cohesive team and an attitude that nothing is too much trouble. The team is unfailingly caring, supporting and compassionate to our family member, who is always addressed appropriately
and with respect. There is a focus on tailoring delivery to suit both their character and needs. Care is provided with warmth, humour and empathy. It has been a huge relief to know our family member is so well supported 24/7, is safe and is truly cared about by all the team. The staff are extremely welcoming to all our family, and the constant open communication is reassuring. The manager is hands-on, proactive and applicable. She shows great respect and empathy for residents. Put simply, Bramley House is highly recommended both for prospective residents and for the care and support, which is also extended to their family. We cannot thank the whole team enough.

Mum had been at Bramley Lodge for nearly two years. She was cared for with much love and dignity. Mum had vascular dementia, so could be strong-willed at times, but that staff (all of them) were amazing and patient with her. Cannot praise highly enough the "entertainment" team. The cleanliness of the
home was excellent. The food Mum just loved. The nursing team became family too. Thank you.

My father was a resident at Bramley House for nearly two years until his death at the beginning of March.
It was difficult to move my father into a care home as I had cared for him in my own home when his physical and mental condition deteriorated. Bramley House is a lovely home with local staff who
really care. The management structure is good and any concerns are dealt with. The staff make you feel welcome. My father died of Covid and his end of life care was all I could have hoped for. I would strongly recommend Bramley House to anyone seeking residential care.

I am passionate about providing the best possible care for our residents, supporting their families, and fostering a happy and dedicated team. I am thrilled to join Bramley House as the new Care Manager. With extensive experience in the healthcare sector, I bring a well-rounded skillset and deep knowledge to our team. My journey began in GP surgeries, followed by a role as a pharmacy advisor. From there, I progressed from senior carer to care home assistant practitioner to deputy manager. This comprehensive background has equipped me with an excellent understanding of all aspects of care, fulfilling my long-held goal of becoming a care manager—a role I'm truly passionate about.


Outside of work, I love to indulge in fine dining, travel abroad, and immerse myself in different cultures. Cinema outings are also a favourite pastime of mine. When I’m not exploring new places, I enjoy relaxing breaks in my caravan, always in the company of my family, loved ones, and my beloved red Labrador, Marley.


One of the most exhilarating experiences I've had was swimming through the deep caves and sacred cenotes of Mexico.


In my free time, I cherish cosy Friday winter nights with a Chinese takeaway, a true crime documentary, or a good film, surrounded by family. During the summer, my perfect Friday includes a meat and seafood BBQ, a hot tub, and playing cards and games with friends and family.


One of my favourite films is "The Shawshank Redemption".


I take my coffee white with one sweetener, though I do have a soft spot for a caramel latte.


I am excited to lead our team at Bramley House with enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring we continue to enhance the lives of our residents with person-centred and high-quality care. My goal is to ensure that their home and life are always their choice and that they feel supported, respected, and valued.
