Bramley House provides luxury care in a beautiful environment. Bramley House is in the bustling village of Mere, just beneath the South Downs. Mere has a lively range of shops and pubs, as well as a tearoom and a post office.

At Bramley House, all residents have comfortable, beautifully styled bedrooms, a choice of light and airy living and dining rooms, and even a luxury hair salon. The large orangery and patio look out onto the beautiful, landscaped gardens, with a pond and pergolas. The well-maintained raised beds make it easy for residents to enjoy the plants, and for anyone wishing to be more energetic to do some gardening of their own. Even the chickens are friendly!

The team of dedicated care staff are fully trained to provide round-the-clock, quality care for all residents, and are experienced in helping any residents living with dementia.

The on-site kitchen team produces a variety of healthy home-cooked meals using fresh produce. They cater for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements and snacks are always available. The energetic activities co-ordinators provide a busy schedule of engaging events and activities, so residents remain active and engaged.

Above all, at Bramley House, they treat residents with the respect and affection they deserve. From excellent home cooking to individually decorated private rooms... life is tailored to you. The Manager and her team pride themselves on the standard of care and support they offer to their residents, including those living with dementia. My grandmother has been a resident at Bramley House since 2014 following the hard decision that she could no longer support herself at home. Bramley House is an exceptional homely home. It is clean and lovely, bright rooms with plenty of space. The staff at Bramley House are just wonderful. Very caring
and nothing is too much trouble, they listen to the needs of its residents. Could not thank them enough and all the support they give to both my grandmother and us as a family.

Always very pleasant and welcoming. Friendly and calm atmosphere. Polite and caring staff - well kept/presented facilities. Beautiful well kept grounds with easy access for residents and visitors. Always plenty of activities taking place.

Moved my mother here from "sheltered" flat in July. She had started to have repeated panic attacks and spent most of her time in bed. Refused meals and was generally unhappy and lonely. Since moving to Bramley House she has had no panic attacks, eats everything (all freshly cooked) in the dinning room.
Participates in afternoon activities with the activities manager and watches tv in the evenings in the lounge with her friends. The home is just great and turned her life around, Encourages her to dress and get up, help with her clothes and shower. Mix and enjoy what time she has left. Cannot praise them enough all the staff are good.

My father was fortunate enough to be moved to Bramley House. I have found the staff to be always very helpful, considerate and caring, prepared to put themselves out even in small ways. The standard of care given to my father is excellent. I would highly recommend Bramley to anyone.

Anna Dunford

Job Title: Registered Home Manager

Joined: 2025

I am passionate about providing the best possible care for our residents, supporting their families, and fostering a happy and dedicated team. I am thrilled to join Bramley House as the new Care Manager. With extensive experience in the healthcare sector, I bring a well-rounded skillset and deep knowledge to our team. My journey began in GP surgeries, followed by a role as a pharmacy advisor. From there, I progressed from senior carer to care home assistant practitioner to deputy manager. This comprehensive background has equipped me with an excellent understanding of all aspects of care, fulfilling my long-held goal of becoming a care manager—a role I'm truly passionate about.


Outside of work, I love to indulge in fine dining, travel abroad, and immerse myself in different cultures. Cinema outings are also a favourite pastime of mine. When I’m not exploring new places, I enjoy relaxing breaks in my caravan, always in the company of my family, loved ones, and my beloved red Labrador, Marley.


One of the most exhilarating experiences I've had was swimming through the deep caves and sacred cenotes of Mexico.


In my free time, I cherish cosy Friday winter nights with a Chinese takeaway, a true crime documentary, or a good film, surrounded by family. During the summer, my perfect Friday includes a meat and seafood BBQ, a hot tub, and playing cards and games with friends and family.


One of my favourite films is "The Shawshank Redemption".


I take my coffee white with one sweetener, though I do have a soft spot for a caramel latte.


I am excited to lead our team at Bramley House with enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring we continue to enhance the lives of our residents with person-centred and high-quality care. My goal is to ensure that their home and life are always their choice and that they feel supported, respected, and valued.
