Anchor’s Hatton Grange in Hyde is a purpose-built residential care home, providing quality care and facilities within a comfortable and relaxing environment for up to 70 customers. They are welcoming new residents for respite care on a long-term basis.

Facilities include a bistro and rock and roll room and Hatton Grange is located close to local amenities. The home provides residential and dementia care which is personally tailored to meet the individual needs of customers and enhance their quality of life.

The care team works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met. And the team are supported through on-going training to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

Residents have the benefit of the Inspire programme, which enhances resident's activities, nutrition and overall experience. The group reinvests the money made into their retirement properties and care homes, to continually raise standards to provide a high-quality service to surpass customers' expectations.

My mum has been looked after by the dementia team at Hatton Grange for five years, until she sadly passed away recently. From the very first time she was a resident in your care home, we could tell she was extremely happy and settled and also very well cared for. The staff have been delightful and have
given her the best care we could have wished for. Nothing has been too much trouble and we are so grateful as a family that her last years were spent in happy surroundings and she was looked after by a team of amazing, caring staff. Thank you to everyone at Hatton Grange. We highly recommend your services to anyone looking for the ultimate in long or short term care.

My mother has been a resident at Hatton Grange since June 7th 2019. She has settled in very well and seems very happy when I visit.
The staff have all been very nice and very approachable, they are very kind, gentle and respectful around all the residents. Overall, I am very happy and feel at ease
knowing that mum is in a safe and secure environment.

Really happy with care both on a personal and mental level. Mum has really settled well. She is always clean and well dressed. Staff are real carers, only problem the paperwork they have to do sometimes leaves them unable to attend to residents and this does have a knock-on effect as sometimes the floor
is understaffed anyway. Where possible, the same staff are allocated to the same floor which helps residents gives consistency. All staff caring and helpful and inform relatives what is going on.

Firstly I would like to say thank you for your positive review, regarding the paperwork, when colleagues are completing essential documentation they do this in the communal lounge or dining room, and at these times other colleagues are available to support residents where needed.


Our staffing hours are always at or above the number of hours indicated as required by the dependency levels of the current resident group.

Staff are always very welcoming and happy to help with whatever you require. Residents always look happy and well cared for. The home itself is spotlessly clean. The Manager and all staff are extremely caring, supportive and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always respond promptly to any concerns or requests. My Mum has been here since December 2014 and has always been treated with respect, dignity and care. We, as a family, couldn't
recommend the Hatton Grange care home enough. Excellent.

My Mother is a resident at Hatton Grange, I phone every week or two as I live in South Australia My mum sounds so happy when I call and Mum loves all the staff. I sometimes chat with Mums carers they sound so nice plus have a passion for their job.


My Sister had to explain to your staff that my

mother only remembers me as her son. I was born with Gender Dysphoria so had Gender corrective surgery some 16 years ago. So when I phone I tell the nurses I am her daughter from Australia. Then mum tells your staff I am mums son.
So my Sister told your staff what is what. I just would like to thank your staff who look after my Mother so much. It makes me feel so much more comfortable. Please Thank them all from me.

Mum had a respite stay in the home after being in hospital and while I was on holiday. We were very satisfied with the facilities and care that she received. The staff were very pleasant, caring and helpful. All in all a very good experience.

Excellent every member of staff was a genuine and caring person and we felt happy leaving our gran in their expert care whilst we were not there. My gran passed away on the 30th January after only a four-week stay at Hatton Grange. The manager and her team and all the other ladies were unbelievably
caring and respectful to my gran and went above and beyond the duties. I would recommend this residential home to anyone. Amazing home, genuine excellent staff.

Hatton Grange is a wonderful place and what makes it wonderful is the staff who work there. My gran lived there for only 5 weeks before her passing, but she loved the place and the staff. She could not have been better treated, respected and looked after. The staff really came into their own near the
end. They were really supportive, dignified and offered everything gran and the family needed.
Hatton Grange is a fantastic place, filled with fantastic people. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We were promised 24-hour peace of mind, this didn't happen, nor was his independence. There were no activities as promised. Not clean, your feet stuck to the floor. Lack of staff and any you could find, had very poor attitudes. I witnessed not only my uncle being neglected but other residents too, to
the point where we were helping because there were no staff.
Care plans were not followed, my uncle had a fall within 3 days which he wasn't prone to. Went in for respite with a review to staying but because of the lack of care, I had to bring him home. I was asked to discuss his will. I have worked in care since I was 18 years old, I am now 52 and have never been so disgusted and found it very upsetting the lack of care.

New clothes bought went missing and never returned even though requested, he was sent home with a bag which contained soiled underpants that had not even been swilled through. They weren't even my Uncles. He had a bruise on his arm (which I have a picture of) as if he had been pulled out of the chair.

Since your experience, staffing levels have improved at the home and inspections by external agencies have not found any issues with cleanliness or quality of care. The increased staffing has enhanced the quality of the service and ensures the best possible standards of care are met.

My dad left hospital and was in need of respite care. He was unable to return to his home because it was no longer suitable for him. Both myself, my husband and other family members have been clearing out his house, finding a new home for him and getting this ready.
Hatton Grange has been a lovely,
bright, clean and modern home for my dad. He has been very well cared for and happy for the 6 weeks he has stayed at the home. The staff have been wonderful with him. Dad has received much needed respite care and we have had peace of mind knowing that he has been well cared for. We would happily recommend Hatton Grange to others in the same situation.
