The only downside is the cost. I know all care homes are expensive, but Canning Court is at the very top end of the scale and as such my mother's quite substantial funds soon disappeared and she has moved onto Council Funding. It is worth saying that that change of funding has had no impact on quality of care.
Even allowing for the costs I know I made the correct decision to choose Canning Court and as such would have no hesitation in recommending Canning Court.

We warmly welcome those living with dementia in need of residential or nursing care. All the bedrooms at Canning Court are en-suite, attractively decorated and furnished with a flat screen television, under-floor heating and 24-hour call system. Some rooms have access to the home’s beautiful gardens.

I’ve worked for Bupa since 2016, and have been the home manager at Canning Court since December 2021. I started working in social care as a support worker for adults with Autism and learning disabilities, which I loved.
I progressed through the company and managed a service in Milton Keynes, which supported adults to live independently. After a while though, I missed the community feel of a care home, the residents and working in a team.
I live in a village just 25 minutes from the home with my husband, our son and daughter, our working cocker spaniel and 2 chickens! I love being outside, running and keeping fit and all kinds of food, but especially chocolate!
Job Title: Clinical Deputy Manager

I started at Bupa in 2012 as a registered nurse, and have been the Clinical Deputy Manager here at Canning Court for 2 years. I love my job, as I like being able to make a positive difference to peoples lives.
I have two boys, aged 4 & 6, and in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, and I'm really passionate in designing and film making - I have done various productions in both India & the UK.

I have worked at Bupa since 2016 and have extensive experience working in similar finance and administration positions. I thoroughly enjoy what I do as I love supporting residents, their families and friends. We have a great team here and we all work and support each other very well.
I live with my husband and have a son and four step children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, fitness activities, walking and getting together with friends. I love animals and we have an adorable Miniature Cockapoo called Esme who sometimes comes to work on a Friday for an hour and the residents love her visits!

I'm the Unit Manager of Hamlet Unit. I love the close working relationships between all staff members and having the privilege of looking after our residents and forming great relationships with their families.
I have experience of working in hospitals, rehabilitation units and care homes. I joined the care home sector in 2004 and enjoy this the most as it’s a completely different type of care environment. I love caring for residents within this setting as our residents become a member of your family.
I am married with two grown-up children. I enjoy the outdoors and have horses and chickens, as well as two dogs and four cats.

I completed nursing training in India and started my career as an ICU nurse there and in Saudi Arabia, where I worked in adult ICU. Following this, I moved to Wales in 2020 where I worked as nurse. I enjoy working in care services as I enjoy supporting residents and working as a team.
I live within walking distance from Canning Court with my husband and little daughters. My son will be coming over from India to join us soon and I am so excited for this. In my spare time I enjoy spending it socialising with my family and friends.

I have worked at Bupa for 4 years. Before that, I mostly worked as a chef in fine dining - I lived and worked in Italy for 17 years. I love my job as I like making a difference and doing my best to bring some happiness to our residents by serving them some delicious meals.
