From the initial admission through to his final days of palliative care, my father was made welcome, received prompt and caring support.
As his mobility decreased and he became more dependent on 24hour support and care, we found the same care and consideration was provided.
Throughout the 3-4 months
he was resident, the staff were respectful and caring.

Mum spent the last few months of her life at the Richmond it was difficult for me as a nurse, and having worked in some local care homes, to find somewhere but the Richmond felt instantly the right place and I'm so glad we chose here. The care was outstanding and for the first time in a long time, I
had peace of mind knowing she was in safe hands. All the staff were compassionate, caring, friendly and welcoming available to discuss mums needs and meet them and treated my mum with respect and kindness. Mum passed away recently. The staff worked as a team to ensure it was peaceful, pain-free and dignified, I couldn't have asked for anything more. They also went to great lengths to look after me and my family and accommodated our every need, I am so grateful for these memories and for the support and kindness we received. I would highly recommend the Richmond to anyone seeking a care placement for their loved ones.

I am not too acquainted with the home, I just visit my wife to take whatever she needs - clothes, underwear, etc.
There is a nurse who keeps me informed how she is, otherwise, you have to go looking for someone to get advice.
The home itself is excellent, very clean and friendly staff.

Everything going smoothly with my Aunt at this moment.
Bless the staff with my auntie being a handful at times.
All the staff are doing everything possible to make her as comfortable as possible.
Plenty of food and drinks available through the day.
All the staff are trying to get her doing more
activities.
This is hard at the moment.
Once the spring and summer are here outdoor activities will help her mix more.
Plenty of outside trips and activities are on offer.

The home has just had a full interior refresh making it light, clean and airy, adding a modern touch to the residents' lives. All the carers and staff are very professional, pleasant and helpful at whatever time of day you visit. They are very good with the residents interacting with them and treating
them with the utmost respect. The management team are very visible, any queries or concerns are dealt with effectively and efficiently! Lots of great activities are available for the residents to join in with, within the home and day excursions are also available! A hairdresser visits twice a week so the residents can look their best at all times! Great atmosphere within the home! It’s like home from home for the residents!

Mum was admitted from rehabilitation on Feb 2013. At that time mum had 1 to 1 NHS 100% funding and needed a lot of support. As her cognitive ability improved she settled into the home, joining in with activities. The home lost a lot of staff and retraining and recruiting seemed to be an issue. Mum didn't
need a lot of care compared to other clients and over the last year, it had become apparent that the service client group at Richmond were not the same as mum. We decided as she hadn't deteriorated further to try a new home, change of scene, different support structure for mum and dad. Nursing and care all fine at Richmond. Unfortunately, the routine my parents were in wasn't suiting them so we decided to move. I need to add that my mum and dad were content, and cared for very well at the Richmond. My mum's case is very complex and my dad was in a routine which he would have been happy to stay with. However, the rest of the family thought a change would be worth a chance. It really wasn't an easy decision to make. Please let your staff know they are brilliant and the move has nothing to do with anything they didn't do.

I have always found the staff at the care home to be very friendly, helpful and caring. In the past, the home has smelt as you walk in but since the carpet has been replaced there is no awful smell. I have noticed they decorate a lot and the home is always clean. They also keep us informed of any falls,
illnesses my mother has.

My mother until her death in May 2018 was looked after with much love caring and compassionate ways I cannot thank the staff enough.


Because of her failing health and mental progression, I found the staff were both patient and considerate of my mother's condition. The final days my mother spent at

Richmond Care Home were spent in dignity, care and the utmost consideration of her final departure in this life. I would recommend Richmond Care Home to any of my friends and relatives for future care.

The staff, regardless of their status, are so obliging and caring to every person in their charge. I cannot find words to praise them enough, they are most certainly the best.

After my father-in-law had received next to no help while in hospital, we were really worried about how he would be looked after. After he arrived in Richmond Care Home, the care and compassion he has received have been excellent. Staff are absolutely fabulous and facilities second to none. A real weight
off our mind knowing he is being treated so well by staff that really care.

As soon as I walked into the Richmond Care Home I knew I wanted to have my sister staying at this care home. It is bright and spacious. The bedrooms are large with a bathroom which has a wash basin and toilet. My sister is on the first-floor nursing care, the dining room and lounge are nicely furnished.
From what I have seen the food is well presented. They are offered drinks in between meals if they want one. The staff are friendly and caring.
