Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My daughter is 18 and has been a resident here for 9 months. She has autism/learning difficulties and moving in was a big step but I thought the home handled this well, with lots of planning and visits with school and family to make it as stress-free as possible. They now support her to go to college.

It

is a small, family orientated home (farmhouse) with large bedrooms and grounds, chickens and a cat. Residents get on well together/are similar. Very rural and peaceful, so not for city lovers, but staff are fun and energetic and take the residents out most days, together or individually, Covid permitting (else it's the garden, spa pool, sensory/music room).

What I like about it is that everyone is welcoming and you can ring or visit at any time. She has lovely clothes and hair (which was always a challenge at home!) They've sent cute photos and videos during the lockdown. Big country kitchen with homecooked food. A good relationship with local doctorstoo.

She's happy here.

It has taken a while to leave a review. My son and my experience wasn't very good no proper understanding of a persons health no structure etc routine. Regarding my son constantly lie when caught out saying they take him out regularly so no then basically calling a mental health person a liar which
was witnessed a couple of times from his social worker. staff not in my own experience are not qualified to help people like my son or people like him. As for the manager well, what can I say? starting she had him as favour seriously because of my experience and the lack of care for my son I report them which I waiting for them to get back to me so no I wouldn't recommend them
