We are very sorry that this incident occurred and we have offered our apologies to the resident and to his family. We reported this incident to the Local Authority's Adult Protection Team and will consider any recommendations they may make. We have since revised our procedures and have increased staffing in our reception area, specifically to monitor the entrance area. However the resident did gain weight whilst staying at the home.
