At Sunnyview House, care plans are carefully tailored to provide a high standard of individualised care in a warm and welcoming setting. Residential, nursing and dementia care is available for short or long term requirements.

This purpose-built home offers spacious and comfortable accommodation within pleasant surroundings. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and have ensuite facilities, while premium bedrooms allow a larger living space with their own front door and garden. Residents have access to a range of facilities such as a cinema and bar, sweet shop, café, a wellness/physiotherapy suite and the internet. Visitors can be welcomed into the homes own social 'hub' areas where refreshments are available.

A delicious menu is provided by the homes experienced chef, who ensures all meals are tailored to individual tastes and requirements. Residents can also enjoy out of hours snacks and drinks from the Bupa Night Bite menu.

An active and social lifestyle is strongly encouraged at Sunnyview and friends and family are always welcome to join in the fun.

My mum has been at Sunnyview for several years now.
She has been housed on the 1st floor - dementia care and now on the 2nd floor - nursing care, for her advanced early-onset dementia, and I can honestly say the care home staff are amazing!
The level of care and attention they have always shown
my mum has been second to none, which now, she is unable to communicate is so important for me to know they are looking after her every need.
The care home is always well kept, and standards are high at Sunnyview.
The menu/food here is varied, and the staff really know what the residents like/don’t like and are great at making nutrition a priority.
Very happy that Mum resides at Sunnyview, and am very grateful to all who look after her.

The staff at Sunnyview House Care Home went above and beyond their care roles to provide my nanna with wonderful, sincere care every day. Family were always made to feel welcome and involved in her care and what was in my nanna's best interests was always at the forefront of any decisions made. As a
staff nurse myself, I was very impressed by the care provided.

Along with my two sisters, we chose Sunnyview House for the care of my mum for her latter months of life. Firstly for its proximity to where we live and on strong recommendations. We couldn't have been happier in every department as shown and given my mum the best care shat she thoroughly deserved.

After multiple traumas (falls, breaks, stroke, blindness, loss of mobility, dementia) Mum was admitted to Sunnyview House. My brother, sister and I could not be happier with everything about this facility. Mum is now at the end of her life. The staff are amazing with her and our family. They are genuinely
lovely, caring people - all of them! Even coming in on days off to see Mum knowing she is in her last days. There are no words to express just how wonderful the whole staff are at Sunnyview House. We will be forever grateful.

My mum started living in Sunnyview House in late June 2021. The staff are wonderful. The manager is great and has time for everyone. It is clean and well run. The staff go the extra mile to make each resident feel special. My mum settled in quicker than we thought because of the lovely staff who work
there.

My mum went into Sunnyview for respite care. I was traumatised, to say the least! However, my anxiety quickly abated. The senior staff were great. They dealt with all my frantic questioning with professionalism and kindness.
The whole process was made easier through good information passing at the
appropriate times.
My mum settled well, despite being stressed and anxious. The staff were caring and engaged well with Mum.
She has put a little weight back on, and her condition stabilised.
She was treated with dignity and made welcome. She made connections with staff that were evident to see.
My mum has said should she need full-time care, she would like to go to Sunnyview.

The staff are so friendly; they give the support my grandma's needs. My grandma has come on so much since starting here. The food is excellent, and the way the staff treat my grandma is amazing. My grandma's floor is always spotless and clean.

All the staff at Sunnyview are great; they are truly proper carers. My wife is in there at the moment. When I go home, I can sleep at night knowing that she is very, very well looked after, safe, well and happy.

It is always a pleasure to visit Sunnyview House. The management and staff are all so welcoming. My wife always speaks well of everyone. She has said to me on several occasions, she feels comfortable and know she is being well looked after. From a personal point of view, I find it very reassuring that

Sunnyview House Care Home is such a lovely place, we knew it was the right place for my mum as soon as we walked in. Sunnyview House Care Home has got a lovely, warm and friendly feel. All the staff are fantastic and make you feel at home. My mum has been at Sunnyview House Care Home now for sixteen
months now and has settled so well, she always has a smile on her face for the carers. Knowing she is happy and settled and has been well looked after has been such a relief, especially through the lockdown. Can’t thank the staff enough.

Mum went in for respite, and we were really anxious about her settling. She was upset, but the staff were great and made her at ease. So far, nothing has been too much trouble for them to help Mum and us.

With real trepidation, my sister and I decided that my mother was no longer capable of looking after herself, so we resourced our options for care. Our concerns were immediately allayed after witnessing the lovely conditions and the fantastic care our mother received from the staff. In particular, her
primary carer has been a massive comfort to us and is brilliant with my mum's needs and care.

A warm, friendly, caring environment with dedicated staff who go the extra mile. Everyone from the catering team through to housekeeping and laundry is so kind, and the care team are wonderful. Mum feels well looked after and often says so. I have also been given a lot of support from staff and always
feel so welcome when visiting.

I cannot praise this care home enough. The change in my father since he went to live there has been a joy to see. The staff are very friendly, caring, knowledgeable, and I can see the relationship they have forged with my dad. They really take the time to get to know the individual, and it’s clear to
see they have forged a close bond with him. I’m kept fully updated on how my dad is doing on a regular basis. When I visit, they all take the time to stop and chat with me about what he’s been doing and how he is generally. I would highly recommend this care home. I think it’s a fantastic place with great, clean facilities, and very caring friendly and experienced staff. Thank you for everything you do for my dad!

My mother-in-law, who suffers from dementia, was admitted during COVID and has received excellent care in spite of the restrictions. The staff are very caring and helpful when answering any questions I have.
I would recommend this care home to anyone who has a relative with dementia.

Very friendly staff, always looked after my grandma very well.
She is a resident on the Carnegie floor. She has quite complex needs, and they have always taken great care when looking after her.

My grandma has been at Sunnyview for nearly 3-years and has a range of needs including dementia. I cannot fault the care she has received during this time; the staff are always welcoming and friendly and treat both the residents and their relatives with care and dignity. The home is always clean, and
there seems to be an activity for every occasion to keep the residents entertained! It's a weight off our mind knowing that our grandma is being well looked after, and I can't thank the staff enough.

Kennedy has recently joined the team in his new role as a clinical unit manager which is his first time employment with BUPA.


Kennedy is a registered Nurse who has got experience in most aspects of nursing including midwifery and is an expert in medication management, Infection control, wound care and palliative care among others.


Kennedy loves being a nurse above all else because nothing comes before a human in need and derives satisfaction from ensuring as well as promoting a good quality of life irrespective of the existing limitations.
