However, unfortunately the costs have risen dramatically during the time my father has been a resident. Over the 2 years he has been there, there has been an increase of 16.5% in his fees which are much higher than any rises he has had in personal pensions, income etc. so it is important to establish early on that yearly rises can be met by residents, as it would definitely be a place that most residents would not want to move on from once settled. I think it would be interesting to hear why such an increase each year is made especially as this is a home that has over 80 residents in total.
The staff have been excellent in the care and support offered to my father and as a family, we have peace of mind that he is safe, secure and well cared for. They are quick to share information with us and the continuity of staffing allows my father to make strong relationships with his carers. I would highly recommend this home to those who can afford it as it is head and shoulders above others that we have seen in the area.

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what Broadway Halls has to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to find out more about our amazing staff team, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life in our home.
I also want to share a little bit about myself. I joined Broadway Halls in February 2023, but I have been a Care Home Manager since 2015, and my career in the health and care sector started in 2007. I started as a Care Assistant and soon progressed to Senior Carer and then Care Co-Ordinator, after which I diversified into the role of Senior Administrator. I have well-rounded experience, which allows me to have insight into many areas of the home.
I am committed to fostering a warm and nurturing environment where every individual feels valued and respected and I am passionate and dedicated to enhancing the lives of Residents through personalised support and compassionate care.
I am experienced in coordinating care plans, managing staff and ensuring regulatory compliance, which in turn provide a safe and well-managed home, and I am a firm believer in the power of empathy and kindness to make a difference in people's lives.
Outside of work, I am kept busy with my family of 4, including 2 young children. I like spending time with my family and my personal hobbies are swimming and tennis.

I love the variety in the role, meeting our residents and their families and supporting the process of them moving into our home. I also support fellow team members. I enjoy gardening, watching tennis and spending time with my family.

Jennifer is our Dementia Lead, she supports 3 dementia champions who are all part of our Memory Lane Community.
Jennifer has over 17 years of working in care and over 5 years at Broadway Halls. She is passionate about ensuring every resident on Memory Lane receives the care, approach and environment that is right for them.
Job Title: Assistant Practitioner
I started at Broadway Halls many years ago, and have been progressing in my career throughout my. I began as a carer then trained to become a Senior and also a trainer within the home.
My CHAPS role allows me to work closely alongside nurses and develop my clinical and management skills, and the role also adheres to many aspects of a registered nursing role.
I love my position and I am ready to continue learning and face any challenges that come my way!

I used to work for a building society as a mortgage adviser for 10 years, When I had my sons, I left to go into care work which gave me a love for nursing. I have been a nurse now for 13 years. I live local to Broadway halls and I am enjoying my job here caring for our residents.

I joined the Broadway Halls team in 2020 as a carer, I previously worked in mental health in challenging environments. I have been promoted to Team Leader and dementia Champion. I love interacting with our residents, I have a passion for dementia care and mental health.

I started at Broadway Halls as a Kitchen Assistant and, through training and determination, I have worked my way up to the position of Head Chef which I am incredibly proud of. Working in a care home as a chef, I have to think more about the eating needs and dietary requirements of the residents. There are various textures of food, special diets, diabetics, vegetarians and so much more. It can be challenging, but I love it and have an amazing team to work with!

Hi, I'm Chris the Sous Chef here at Broadway Halls.
I previously worked at Broadway Halls in 2014 and left to develop my skills in a fine dining restaurant in Birmingham. I was pleased to rejoin the team in November 2024 - I missed the people, the Residents and the homely culture that comes with working in care.
I have worked in hospitality since I left school and I am passionate about the dishes I create and serve. My signature dish is chicken and spinach pasta, tossed in a creamy sauce.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my dog. Aston Villa is my team and when they are not playing I enjoy following horse racing and when the time allows, a day at the races is always welcome!
