The care for my mother at this home was exceptional, the staff went above and beyond to make my mothers stay very enjoyable and she was able to fully integrate into all the activities that the home provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone who is looking for a place for their
loved ones to reside.

My Dad was admitted to The Manor House, November 2019 after suffering from Alzheimers for over 3 years and unable to live alone.
For what is a traumatic and distressing time for the family of those suffering from any condition making it impossible for the person to look after themselves, Manor House
made it as relaxed, worry-free and supportive as it could possibly be.
My Dad has thrived with the care and attention given to him. Eating regular and nutritious meals, keeping to a more regular sleep pattern all are things that Alzheimer's sufferers living alone do not do.
Sufferers can become isolated and withdrawn but at The Manor House they engage with Dad is such a way that he can be part of conversation and activities. He has made friends and has company which is so important for his mental wellbeing.
The home is immaculate at all times, with beautiful gardens and grounds. The residents are all well turned out and the staff kind, friendly and professional.
It is a truly amazing place.

This is an excellent care home and really at this exceptionally worrying time, we could not have wished for our mother to be anywhere else. The fixtures, fittings and food are nice but it is the people here who really care. The FaceTime with Mum at a time when we have not been able to visit because
of COVID, where some of us work (NHS) and because others of us are shielding has been wonderful. I am really full of praise for this team of carers who really are the best. I do not know what more they could have done during a pandemic. That’s what you want for our Mum at such a time.

The Manor House is excellent. All the staff are so kind and helpful and the facilities are super. My mother has been a resident for the past four months and everyone welcomed her so warmly. The care she receives is excellent and anything she needs is provided. Obviously everyone has been working under
difficulties through the pandemic, but the staff have been cheerful and caring and careful throughout and The Manor House has avoided any Covid-19. I really can't thank everyone enough. We are so pleased we found The Manor House for my mother.

My mother has been a resident at The Manor House for 9 years and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The manager had the sense to close the Manor House to visitors 2 weeks before it became compulsory and thus protected the residents from COVID-19. The staff have gone to extraordinary lengths to keep
the virus at bay. I have been able to talk to mum via Skype and I can arrange a phone call whenever I want one. During the hot weather, the residents spent time in the beautiful gardens - eating ice cream. I can now visit mum - I make an appointment and I see mum in the lounge or outside - 2 visitors per half-hour - social distancing etc. In spite of being unable to have a hairdresser etc, mum always looked lovely. The staff arranged activities eg for VE Day and Chocolate Day.
I can tell by mum's face (she is 101yrs and has vascular dementia) that she is perfectly content.
Thank you to all the staff for looking after mum so well throughout this torrid time.

The Manor House is an excellent, well run residential home. All of the staff are kind, caring and professional, creating a calm and positive environment for residents to live in. The staff have been fantastic throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, working tirelessly to ensure the safety and well being of

The surroundings, both internally and externally, are beautifully maintained, and there are various activities and facilities for residents to enjoy.

This care home is completely brilliant. Through the whole COVID crisis the team here have been amazing. So professional, so scrupulous with their standards and above all really kind and considerate to their residents. Obviously these have been worrying times but I have never once feared for my 89-year-old
mum. I knew she was in the best place and that the team at The Manor would do their utmost to keep her safe. Not a single case of COVID here, no shortages of kit either. The manager does a great job with two fabulous sidekicks, too many lovely kind staff to mention!

Our family member has been a Manor House resident for two and a half years. I had visited the home six months earlier whilst researching care homes. We felt fortunate that a room was available when needed urgently. The transition from living in the community to living in a care home is challenging for
the resident and carers alike. Involvement in initial care planning helped to make sure key information was shared between family and the home. Our family member settled well and her increasing care needs have been met sensitively. Even now she regularly reports that everyone is very kind and she only has to ask and help is forthcoming. The home is impeccably presented, both the interior and the grounds. A friendly and helpful staff at all levels makes visiting a positive experience. We are extremely grateful for the professional approach the home has taken throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since my mother was forced, by her dementia at the age of 93, to leave her own house and go into a care home, I have visited quite a large number of care-homes both in Newcastle and in Brighton. The Manor House was quite simply the best of all I saw. My mother was not the easiest of residents to cope
with but the staff, using a high level of professionalism, always managed to calm her and make her feel happy. My sister and I were very impressed with the care given in the final week of our mother's life. She died aged 96.
The Manor House itself is a beautifully appointed building but the staff, with their cheerful, hard-working demeanour and friendly approach are what make this care-home exceptional. I would recommend it without any reservations whatsoever.

My mother was a resident of The Manor House, Gosforth for three and a half years. She had dementia. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff there. Each and every one of them treated my mother with great care and respect. No one wants to go into a care home but if you have to then this is the place
to be. What struck me most is the way the staff talked about my mother with genuine affection. One carer said, 'She brought the light in with her wit and sense of humour.' It's easy to dismiss people with dementia as just being the 'disease' itself and forgetting the very real person within but at The Manor House residents are always treated as individuals with individual needs.
The facilities are top-notch and the food is always presented well and is of a high standard.
The management team is excellent and they know the residents well. They ensure that the home runs efficiently and for the benefit of the residents. I recommend the Manor House without reservation.

I was a friend and carer for this lady for many years until I broke my arm in 2017 and needed to get help for both of us. I decided to get her into respite care until such time I was fit enough to look after her again, on a friend's recommendation I managed to get a place at The Manor House Gosforth.
As the weeks passed it became quite clear to both of us that my friend wouldn't get any better care by returning home, she had settled into her new surroundings, the staff were kind and caring and most importantly she felt safe. So thankfully I was able to get a permanent place for her. Two years later and I can honestly say my friend has thrived in her surroundings and although age and dementia are catching up with her she is as happy and content as I have ever known her.
I will always be grateful to the staff and management at the Manor House for looking after and caring for my friend in a way I would treat her myself, with dignity and respect.

Manor House is a well-presented home with an excellent first impression when entering the grounds. The garden, car park and all outside spaces are clean and immaculately presented. The home inside is beautifully decorated clean and fresh smelling. The staff are friendly and welcoming to both residents
and visitors. They provide the level of care needed for each individual in a professional and caring way creating a family-like atmosphere. The facilities for meeing family and friends are good. The rooms are of a good size and well maintained. Overall, The Manor House is a pleasant place to reside whilst having personal needs attended to.

This is an exceptional care home.
The lady for whom I am attorney has been there for 18 months and I or my wife usually visit at least twice a week.
The rooms and common areas are beautifully appointed and kept spotlessly clean.
The food is what elderly people want and is well presented: each resident
can choose to eat in the dining room with the others or eat in her own room.
The range of activities is stimulating and well thought out.
Most importantly, the staff are numerous and very attentive, friendly and patient: nothing seems too much trouble for them.
Our lady told an old friend recently, "In my own house, I had become lonely and nervous. Here I am thriving and the staff are so kind".

The Manor House Gosforth is an extremely well led residential care home. The care staff, kitchen, housekeeping, activities, admin, the front of house and maintenance staff are well trained and well supported by management. Care team staffing levels are excellent. Staff are very caring and responsive.
It is a very safe environment for residents. Residents rooms could do with a refresh as looking tired. My mum was a resident for almost two years followed by a two-year break but has now settled back in.
