My grandma has been here several years. Whilst her health has deteriorated, she has been treated with care. She enjoys the entertainment and seems very happy here.

Everyone is friendly and professional. The garden is lovely, and the care home is clean and tidy. The residents are happy and checked on regularly. There's music being played, which gives a more homely feel. The sign-in process is easy. The security measure in place makes me feel confident having a
family member staying here. The staff are happy to help with any questions/queries.

My friend has been a resident of Ashworth Grange for the past ten months. She is very happy whenever I visit her. Her meals are nourishing and appetising. There are usually activities taking place, today it was Zumba!

The staff are always friendly and helpful and interact with my mum. The room is nicely located. Good portion size and a choice. Always helpful when I telephone and put me on to apeak to Mum. The towels could do with replacing!

The staff are welcoming when coming to visit my mum. The place is clean, inviting, and the staff are attentive to my mum. My mum mentioned there are activities she can get involved in and is enjoying her stay here.

Mum sadly passed away at Ashworth Grange on the 21st of March 2022. She received outstanding care and compassion from all the staff, as did all the family members who were able to visit in the weeks before she passed. We are grateful to the two members of staff who sat with her as she passed away -
this was very thoughtful and respectful. We thank you all for your support during Mum's stay with you.

My mum came for respite care for two weeks as she was struggling and lonely at home. She decided to stay an extra two weeks, which was fabulous for myself and my sister as we knew she was safe and well cared for.

Ashworth Grange is a very caring home. My wife is very happy and it is now her home. They always have a full diary of activities to keep the residents entertained. The staff are always very friendly. I know I could not have chosen better.

My husband has been to Ashworth Grange around 5 times after being at another care home for 11 years. He comes around every 6 weeks for a week's respite to give me a break. The home and staff are lovely, very professional, caring and nothing is too much trouble. They ring me to reassure me and as he
is a very private person they totally understand and treat him with respect and great care.

Sharon

Sharon Troy

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2016

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Sharon has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.


Having worked at Ashworth Grange for many years, Sharon closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident.


She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Sharon remarked:
“Meeting new residents, working with the residents and seeing them smile. The look on families faces when they visit us and see what a beautiful home we have.”


Sharon has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being completing 3 skydives for various charities, a wing walk where she raised over £2000 for the Andys man club, and most recently, Sharon has completed an abseil and zip wire for MIND.


Outside of work, Sharon enjoys travelling with friends and spending time with
her son.
