Right from the management down, all the staff members have been scrupulously clean and tidy and committed to keeping high standards of hygiene and cleanliness on each occasion that I have visited my cousin who is a resident of Lydgate Lodge care home. Each member of staff I have met has been polite,
courteous and friendly and respectful to all the residents. The few other residents I have briefly seen have all seemed to be happy and contented and clean and tidy. I have felt reassured by the prevailing regime.

My father's time at Lydgate Lodge was a happy one. Sadly he died after a brief illness, but the two months he was a resident, the staff were not only kind and supportive with him but also very understanding and communicative with my sister and me. It felt like a happy place the minute I went through
the front doors. Since his death, they have helped us through the process with great sensitivity. Thanks, Lydgate Lodge.

During the pandemic, we had to find a home that would be suitable for our father's needs. Lydgate Lodge was recommended, and we have not been disappointed. The staff welcomed Dad so warmly and made him feel at home immediately. This was heartening for us as a family as we were unable to visit Dad initially.
Lydgate is an excellent home, and the care given is exemplary, not only to Dad but to us as a family. We are always made welcome when visiting or phoning, and if there have been any issues, they are dealt with promptly. Dad is happy, well cared fro and safe in the most wonderful environment. What more could we ask for.

The last few weeks have seen a return to info or visits to see my mum in a Covid secure environment with every effort made to reduce the risk of potential transmission. The staff have welcomed me back and made sure that the visit is made as easy as possible The effect on my mum's wellbeing has been
very positive, and continues the magnificent effort the staff have made to ensure the safety of relatives during the pandemic. It has been an extremely difficult time, but they have taken every care to maintain the safety and wellbeing of everyone and have remained professional and caring throughout. I cannot praise the management and staff highly enough.

As soon as I spoke to the manager at this care home, I knew my father would receive a warm and friendly welcome. Dad settled in almost immediately and was very grateful for the care and kindness he was shown. The staff bent over backwards to provide anything Dad needed and communicated very well at
all stages of Dad move there. It must be doubly difficult at the moment with the pandemic to give such an excellent and efficient service, and Dad, I and my family are very grateful for this smooth transition.

I went for a visit to see my dad. It was very well organised and neither me nor my dad were stressed during the visit. He was really happy and looked really well cared for.

This home would be my choice if or when my wife requires permanent care. All care was observed with regards to the virus situation. She settled in very well, and I felt that she was in good care until our walk-in shower was installed. I cannot fault the staff or conditions. My 99-year-old sister spent
some timer in Lydgate and was happy.

My dad moved into Lydgate Lodge on 24th July 2020. The staff at the home were so welcoming and put me at ease at what was a very worrying time. We had liaised with the front of house manager prior to coming in and she was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The manager and some lovely care
staff were there to greet us on arrival and put my mind at ease straight away, after some minor worries. The manager moved Dad into a lovely room and my family and I think his care has been exceptional since then. Communication is brilliant and all the staff are wonderful.

I have found Lydgate Lodge to be excellent and very caring in looking after my mother in what has been a difficult transition to the home after a fall meaning she had to be in hospital before going to the home. With her deteriorating dementia meaning she has had other falls in the home they have demonstrated
that they are prepared to go over and above to take care of her and keep the family informed of her well being at all times. They are highly recommended.

Since my mother moved into Lydgate Lodge last April, my wife and I have nothing but praise for the management and staff. Throughout these trying times, they have kept us updated on her health and well-being and on the rare times we have seen her, she has been always clean and smart. The carer with her
has shown her respect and kindness. Through FaceBook we have followed many activities that are provided for residents.

My mum has been in this home for just over a year. What a year, but through it all, she has been looked after superbly. She has been kept entertained, looked after and kept safe through this pandemic. The staff are doing an outstanding job. I would highly recommend this care home. Thank you!

If you are in the unfortunate position of having to make this difficult decision, I would have no hesitation of recommending Lydgate Lodge.
The facilities at Lydgate Lodge are good. But it's great strength are its staff who are without fail helpful, caring, kind, polite and very approachable.

This care home is run in a very professional manner. My father was made most welcome on arrival and all members of the family were also made most welcome. The home is spacious and clean and the staff are very attentive, efficient and caring. My dad soon felt at home and he was cared for with respect
and dignity. Any health problems were acted upon promptly and GP visits and prescribed medications were managed very well.
Activities were varied and meals were tasty, varied and imaginative. The home is extremely well managed. We would recommend this care home to other families unreservedly.

The staff at Lydgate Lodge are wonderful. They have looked after my dad in his last weeks of life as if he was their own dad. They have made it so much easier for my sister and me to cope with a very difficult time. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The Lodge itself is lovely and has lovely
views. There are activities for the residents every day and the food is excellent. I would recommend Lydgate Lodge to anyone who needs care for a loved one.

All the staff and the manager have been so kind, professional and helpful in every aspect of my mum's care. It was a difficult decision for us to take the step of finding a care home for mum but it has been much easier thanks to the staff.

Lydgate Lodge is an amazing facility the home is furnished to a high standard and the reception staff are always helpful the carers are compassionate and nothing is too much trouble. The activity team are innovative, everybody works hard to ensure the home and the gardens are well maintained.
The staff
and the reception staff also offer so much support to relatives.
