The home provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 50 residents in single en suite rooms. There is also a shop for customers and their families within the home to promote sociable, customer-led activity.

Mill View's dedicated care team takes the time to get to know the individual and work with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure their care needs are continually met.

The home provides dementia care and provides on-going training to ensure their approach is best for customers living with dementia. Anchor recognises that everyone is an individual.

My mum initially stayed at Mill View on respite, but liked it so much she asked to stay permanently and I think this is a mark of the excellent level of care provided. She’s been a resident since July 2021. All the staff work together to provide the comforts of home, but with the added essential care
skills that make my mum feel safe and secure and give me total peace of mind. The atmosphere is friendly, open and welcoming and there are always seasonal activities for residents to take part in. My mum has become more engaged with activities and people than she was at home, thanks to the gentle, skilled encouragement of the care team. There is always something happening to stimulate interest and conversation - even the corridors have themed displays to capture the attention of residents and visitors. The building and gardens are always maintained, and the food is freshly cooked, with a choice at every mealtime. I’m really thankful to have found Mill View at just the right time.

Our mum has been a resident of Mill View since 2018 when her dementia became too much of an issue for her to continue living independently. Whilst all families faced with this situation find it very difficult, the choice of Mill View for her ongoing care was certainly the right decision. The care home
has excellent facilities and being purpose-built does not have many of the problems associated with older properties. The rooms are comfortable whilst the corridors and public areas provide interest and are often themed. The catering at Mill View is excellent and residents enjoy good food at all times.
The staff are friendly, caring and well organised which resonates the home manager who ensures high standards are achieved at Mill View. The care and reception staff all perform an excellent service and the lack of any issues associated with Covid-19 for both staff and residents is testimony to the hard work, organisation and professional work of all the team at Mill View.

My mother is a long term resident at Mill View. Today she stills comes into regular contact with a career who welcomed her to the home 10 years ago! Long term carers are not unusual at Mill View this I believe has provided Mum with stability and most certainly helps to create the loving family atmosphere.
In
addition to this the Mill View team are very aware of the progressive symptoms of dementia not only the importance of treating each resident individually but by also providing an understanding to their families as their loved one's symptoms continue to develop and progress. Kindness at Mill View.

The manager and her team at Mill View are always brilliant but have been simply exceptional throughout this awful coronavirus crisis. There have been no cases to date of the virus within the home and the staff have done an excellent job of keeping residents in contact with their loved ones.
Communication
has been outstanding and the newsletters are uplifting at this strange and difficult time. The Mill View team are doing a magnificent job in the worst of circumstances and I’m sure the families of all residents agree that praise and thanks for keeping our loved ones safe and happy are well deserved.

My father has been a full-time resident at Mill View for over 12 months. Initially, he was a resident on respite, whilst the family (and the home) ascertained his exact needs, and we were confident that he had settled. We needn't have been concerned - as the level of care which he receives and the comfort
and facilities which Mill View has to offer, has surpassed our expectations. The family is highly delighted with the care and attention which my father is shown by all of the staff. He settled into the environment very quickly and easily and enjoys his comfortable room, the seasonal meal menu, the numerous activities which are laid on and, most importantly for him, the interest and attention which all of the staff - from Managers to the night-time staff - demonstrate. Praise has to be given to the professionalism of the Management Team and much gratitude to all of the staff who provide an admirable level of care for all residents (often under difficult conditions).

My father has been at Mill View for six years, ever since his dementia got too bad for him to live at home. During this time I have never had a single complaint about it or spotted anything wrong. The staff provide excellent, loving, care and always go "the extra mile," when caring for my father.
The
building itself is very clean and well maintained. It's a purpose-built care home and has wide corridors, lifts etc.
I live over 200 miles away, which means I can't visit as often as I would like to. When my father first needed care I considered moving him to a care home nearer me, as I am his only visitor. However, he is so happy and well looked after I decided to leave him where he is. I don't regret this decision one bit!

This home, where Mum has lived for two years is a wonderful place and my sister and I are very happy with the caring and efficient staff, stimulating and carefully thought out facilities, the comfort of the home and the fabulous food. Mum has always been happy and settled here and during lockdown for
COVID we have been able to contact her by phone and video links and been kept fully up to date with newsletters. I cannot speak highly enough about Mill View and it's amazing manager.

My uncle was a resident of Mill View for one year until he passed away in January 2019. On the day we went to look around he felt comfortable enough to say he was fine and we could leave him there. Obviously, we didn't but that was enough for me. If he felt fine with the place, that sealed the deal.
He was a resident for exactly 365 days and that can feel like a long, long time. He was cared for and cared about. Subtle changes were quickly picked up and the relevant action taken.

The overall care provided is of a satisfactory standard. Staff and management are very approachable and always willing (when available) to help. My criticism would be the cleanliness of the bathroom as quite frequently the toilet area is left soiled and can sometimes be left for long periods of time.
This is obviously a concern for personal hygiene.

The decision to arrange long-term care for a parent is not one that most of us relish and I am no exception. When the relative has to go into care for physical as opposed to mental reasons, then the process is even more difficult as of course, they would prefer to be in their own home. Based on what
I have observed over the past twelve months, I have nothing but praise for the care and support which my mother receives at Mill View in Bradford and everyone has her best interests at heart.
The place is well led by a manager who is dynamic, gregarious and totally absorbed by the job she does. This cascades down to her team who demonstrate an admirable level of interest in and care for the residents.
There is a wide range of activities to suit all interests plus there is a cinema and also a shop which is decorated and equipped like a 1960's corner shop and the latest addition is a coffee bar.
A mini-bus would be the perfect addition and I am somewhat surprised that there isn't one.

I felt compelled to leave a quick review of Mill View. To be honest I had an ignorant but very negative general view of nursing homes. I'm pleased to say after 2 visits to Mill View to see my Gran this has completely changed. The staff are incredible as is the food and service. The care is given with
genuine love and after spending several hours there, this is not something you can fake, and let's be honest this is a very difficult job. I cannot recommend this place enough

From the moment Mum came to Mill View she has been looked after and cared for in the most professional and caring manner. Her medical needs are being fully met and monitored. Her individual medical issues have been shared by all staff through professional training and her support is outstanding by all
the carers. As Mum's family, we are made to feel so welcome and are constantly updated and involved in Mum's care. Mill View is an outstanding care home and we feel totally confident and wholly satisfied with everything about Mum's care. It is her home from home.
