My mother and I were made extremely welcome when my father came to Cherry Blossom Manor. All the staff have been very kind and helped us settle in. They are never too busy to help and are extremely kind to all the residents.

Having seen and experienced many care homes, this is by far the best I've ever experienced or seen. It is homely and the staff are very caring. The food is good and plentiful. The residents are treated with dignity and respect and more important kindness. It is not perfect but by far the best I've ever
experienced.

After my mother arrived here, even after 36 hours I saw an improvement in her condition. The staff are attentive, caring and friendly. The rooms and location are excellent. Such a relief after a busy hospital ward, to know that she is now being properly cared for in a purpose-built facility with staff
who are both conscientious and caring.

We did have a few issues on the first 3 days of my father being here. Eg soft food only and to be assisted when eating. Forgot to give prescription protein drink until I mentioned this plus all of the above was in his notes for staff to read. Once I had a talk with the staff and manager on day 3, all
was sorted. The staff are really lovely but let it down by not reading his notes. He was only here for 8 days in total.

My mother stayed at Barchester Cherry Blossom Manor for respite care following my hospitalisation as she had lived with me for the past 14 years and now aged 92 years was unable to live alone and care for herself. She was made very welcome from the start, the manager and her staff being so friendly,
caring and attentive throughout her stay there. They are a credit to her company.

I enjoyed the room with a wet room but the latter was a bit small. The room was well decorated; there were more activities available, though I was unable to participate due to having a urinary infection and being bedbound for 5 days. Generally, the staff were caring and thoughtful. I had some concern
when my tablets were found on the floor and table (3). Unfortunately, after returning home I have been admitted to hospital with blood clots in my lungs and heart, possibly brought on by being immobile during my infection.

My cousin was here for seven weeks and from when she arrived she was made very welcome. The staff were exemplary of their care of her. The nursing staff looked after her very well and were very supportive and caring. She was very happy with all of the carers, office staff, meals and maintenance. She
particularly loved the entertainment. We are so very grateful for all the love and care she received.

We found the staff professional, approachable and compassionate at all times when it came to looking after the needs of my stepmother, making a home away from home.
The entertainment and the hairdresser helped to provide a variety to make the stay a good one. The gardens are well maintained, full of
flowers providing a delightful, peaceful place to sit.


The place was always clean and tidy, the rooms are modern and cheerful and the meals provided were of a very high standard.


The Café provided a really nice break from the room. This was always well stocked with yummy cakes and drinks.

I came to visit my grandmother on Sunday 15/7/18. As usual, carers were very polite, my nan was well presented and seemed in a good mood. I stayed with my Nan whilst she had her lunch, which she usually enjoys very much. The head chef here is great and always very accommodating towards my nan's needs
and requests. However, this Sunday my nan was very disheartened at lunchtime. The pork was very tough, which I was shocked at as it’s usually very soft, the mash was like water and when I questioned what was going on as the food is normally great, I was told a new chef had been taken on board. I hope he is receiving adequate training as to me and to my nan it didn’t seem like he knew how to cook correctly for the elderly. I really hope this is sorted as my nan is very happy at Cherry and I am also happy with the care she receives. This is the first time we have had any issue at Cherry and I hope now it’s been addressed that it won’t be a regular thing. Apart from that, thumbs up to all the staff.
