Belong Crewe is rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (July 2023), and brings the very latest in care and facilities for older people into the heart of Crewe.

The community village offers 12 self-contained apartments for independent living and six supported ‘households’ with modern en-suite bedrooms and open plan lounge and kitchen areas. There is also a vibrant hub for community activities, with facilities that include a licensed bistro, hair salon, therapy room and exercise studio. The village model is a stunning example of how advanced design and very high standards of care can provide a new quality of life for older people.

Belong households represent a radically different alternative to conventional care homes. Belong Crewe operate with a higher-than-average staffing ratio and a maximum of 12 residents per household, offering a family atmosphere where customers can build lasting relationships with staff and other residents.

The specially trained support and nursing staff are available around the clock to support individuals with dementia and those residents who require clinical care.

My husband moved into Belong Crewe just over 3 weeks ago. After being diagnosed with dementia 7 yrs ago we have struggled at home, especially in the last 2 yrs. It was a very difficult decision to make and we looked at a lot of care homes. I am so relieved that we chose Belong Crewe and they were able
to take him. It is a fantastic place and the carers are all amazing. The household concept makes a big difference in it feeling more like a home environment. The ethos of belong and how they understand dementia is fantastic and exactly what we were looking for. It is a very welcoming place and I also feel very comfortable when visiting him. I would 100% recommend Belong.

The staff are amazing - very caring, nothing is too much trouble. They are extremely patient, even when short staffed at times, and have some challenging residents. My aunt has dietary needs and they persevere even when she refuses drinks and food. The home provides activities most days and sends out
a monthly calendar of upcoming events. These include multigenerational sessions which my aunt greatly enjoyed having been a primary teacher. This was one of the reasons for choosing this home and its CQC rating. As a family we are very pleased with the care she receives at Belong.

My mum has now been at Belong, Brookhouse Drive, Crewe for 12 months and I am extremely pleased that we chose this care home. The permanent staff have provided quality personal care and made sure mum is supported both physically and emotionally. This week on getting back from an A&E visit at 4.30am
a member of staff was waiting with a wheelchair and two of them helped her get settled and into bed with good humour and care. The food is also very good. I also appreciate the detailed notes uploaded throughout the day to the relative gateway website which keeps me well updated. All much appreciated.

My husband has been in Belong for two years and three months. Over that time he has been cared for exceptionally well. I have never had to worry about anything. There are a wonderful range of activities to engage in and relatives are welcome as part of the Belong family.
Family can also find information
of their loved one's day to day activities and wellbeing every day.
As time passes and the resident's needs increase, so does the monitoring and care both day and night. I'm so glad I chose Belong Village. I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone who needs somewhere safe and welcoming for a family member.

My dad moved into Belong from another home, his mental being was very low at this time, since being at Belong he has put a little bit of weight on, he was very thin,, he watches tv in the communal lounge & occasionally takes himself to another house & sits with other people, the staff take good care
of him & have a bit of a banter with him, which he likes, the home is very clean & very welcoming, relatives can visit anytime; you don't have to make an appointment.Dad does not take part in a lot of the activities, he's a bit on the quiet side & wont mingle, hopefully he will do in the future, as the staff are always putting on a full timetable of activities, I have my lunch with him 2/3 times a week in The Bistro, family occasionally join us, the food is lovely with plenty of choice, overall very happy with Belong, management & staff.

My wife has been in the hospital for an operation, for medical reasons I have stayed for 2 weeks. I could not have been looked after better in the Ritz hotel. It has been a pleasure to talk to your staff, and have interesting conversations with the residents. Some have known me for many years as a councillor

My dad was discharged from hospital to Coronation House as a new resident in late November 2024. From the minute he arrived, I felt at ease with the care he receives. For the second time in a care home, Dad has settled in so well because the whole team have taken the time to learn about him, get to
know him and tailor his care plan to match his needs, not try to make him fit into the "model". As a professional inspector of care homes in Australia, I cannot praise the Belong Crewe team highly enough.

My husband's uncle attended Belong experience days and then for a period of respite which culminated in him becoming a permanent resident. My husband and I have been totally happy with his time in their care at all times. We have total confidence in the care team in his house. They are caring and supportive

My dad has been very happy and well cared for in Belong Crewe. The staff are always welcoming and extremely loving towards Dad. I'm very impressed by the range of activities provided for the residents. Dad is always encouraged to participate but doesn't always want to join in. The bistro is an amazing
place and Dad and I enjoy going there to chat over a cup of coffee and eat one of their delicious meals. The bistro is a hive of activity and a great place to socialise with others. The accommodation is clean and well cared for. I feel very happy in the knowledge that Dad is being well cared for.

I can't thank the Belong team enough for taking such amazing care of my nan during her final weeks. When we first visited Belong, we were convinced this was the right place for Mum. The staff were friendly and engaging. The facilities appeared top-notch. There were smiles everywhere. We liked the way the households were home to those with and without dementia.
Although Mum has deteriorated, we feel
the staff have got to know her very quickly. They don't so much care for people, they love them and behave towards them as though they are family.
We are so grateful for Mum getting a place at Belong. We know she is safe and yes, understood by staff.
We would thoroughly recommend Belong to anyone needing care who is seeking a home-from-home.

I didn't know what to expect as I never thought I'd see myself in a place like this but it's 100% better than what I imagined, it's smashing.
Due to the decline in my health, I didn't know what to do. The girls take good care of me, there is nothing that they wouldn't do for me.
I have settled in
well and after a recent trip to the hospital, I now call it home.

My wife has been in Belong Crewe for almost 12 months and the care and indeed love she receives from the care teamin Duke, and indeed across the entire home, is just incredible. Passing my wife into someone else's care was a very difficult and emotional thing to do and was upsetting for me at the time.
This 'guilt' has been all but removed by seeing how much she is cared for in the Duke household. The online portal is a wonderful tool - even though I probably overuse it - as it offers me yet further assurances over my wife's care. I have no hesitation in giving this care home top marks for providing an excellent and caring environment for its residents.

Caroline

Caroline Anthony

Job Title: General Manager

Caroline Anthony was appointed as General Manager at Belong Crewe in April 2024, following her five-year tenure in the role of Support Manager where she consistently demonstrated her leadership skills with compassion and dedication.


Amongst the country’s first graduates for the NVQ in health and social care when originally launched, Caroline’s career took off when she secured her first care job in a local nursing home. Following a brief break she returned to work, this time for the council, providing domiciliary care in the community.


It was after joining Belong in 2016 as a senior support worker that Caroline began to develop her leadership skills, progressing to Lead Senior Support Worker and then earning her promotion to Support Manager.


As General Manager, Caroline has overall responsibility for all who work and live at Belong Crewe, whether in 24-hour care households or independent living apartments.


She operates an open-door policy and always welcomes feedback from customers and members of the wider village community as we work together to enhance wellbeing and outcomes for all in our care.

Joy brings a wealth of experience to the role of Front of House Manager, having previously worked in retirement living for the past eight years. Job Title: Experience Coordinator

Nurturing home-grown talent, Belong Crewe promoted Jessica Butler to the post of Experience coordinator in June 2021.


Jessica will work with the wider village team to ensure the provision of meaningful occupation for residents of both its 24-hour care households and independent living apartments, as well as managing the Experience Day programme for customers of Belong’s specialist day care service.


Joining the team as a bistro assistant at Belong Crewe when the village first opened in 2010, Jessica has progressed with the organisation, as it quickly became apparent that her skills in connecting to customers would be highly beneficial in a care capacity.


Belong supported her learning and development to make the transition to becoming a support worker, and Jessica worked under the guidance of Belong’s Dementia Trainer as she took her Level 3 qualification. Jessica soon flourished, showing the perfect balance of empathy and positivity to bring joy and purpose to Belong’s residents and she progressed to a senior support worker.


Inspired by the value added by the Experience Day Team, Jessica later moved across to a role in this service. Already knowing the residents and their needs well, she understood how to create meaningful activities that engaged the customers on a daily basis.

Job Title: Belong at Home Area Manager

Jane joined the Belong at Home team in 2018 and has made improvements to the service during that time.


Having progressed within the organisation, from the role of Community Support Worker to Senior Community Support Worker, before being appointed to the role of Area Manager in January 2020; Jane brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role. Jane has previously worked in marketing and has experience in leading teams and performance management. Jane has worked and lived in both South Africa and America and returned to the UK in 2015 after living most of her life abroad.
