Riverdale Court care home, situated in Welling, in the London Borough of Bexley, is a care facility providing residential care for older people living with dementia.

Riverdale Court provides a wealth of support services for people living with dementia, with the aim of not just providing care and comfort, but also a new, positive and more engaging stage in their lives. The team of qualified and attentive staff provide 24-hour specialist person-centred dementia care.

All of the bedrooms have bright modern en suite facilities with individual colour schemes to provide relaxation and a sense of well-being.

At the heart of Riverdale Court is its Philosophy of Care, The Eden alternative, where social interaction and engagement are encouraged and boredom is eradicated by addressing the three plagues of loneliness, helplessness and boredom within the home.

I had a lovely experience visiting my brother-in-law with my sister. The staff are wonderful. The place is lovely, it's great! They look after my brother-in-law very well.

Every time I come to visit, the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Beautiful, clean rooms, inviting reception area and always lots of activities going on. The residents are always happy and clean. The food is lovely. The new cafe's food is fantastic, very good idea. Brilliant value for

My mother lives at Riverdale Court and wished she had made the decision to move sooner. There is a regular food schedule every day and different activities available. All of this has really helped my mother feel welcome. Also, removing the stress of not knowing what time her carers would arrive is a
big plus. The staff have been amazing at helping my mother settle in. Her room is spacious, spotlessly clean and her needs taken care of. The gardens have proven to be a real hit and have helped my mother to socialise more easily. Totally recommend Riverdale Court if you require some support or round the clock care.

It is a fantastic home. I've made a lot of friends. I'm committed more and I've made a lot of friends who I speak to. My favourite person is one staff member, who is my greatest friend. She has helped me all through the time I've lived here.

We have been very impressed since my wife transferred to Riverdale last month. The staff are friendly and are mostly the home's own staff which is impressive. My wife's room is spotlessly clean and the furniture is very presentable. There are lots of facilities and stimulation with lots to do. My wife
has been grateful for all that has been done to settle her in.

Solomon Ofori

Solomon has been working as a Senior Care Lead at Avante since 2022 and is known for his good work ethic and zest for learning. Solomon was promoted to Deputy Manager at Riverdale Court in July 2023.


Prior to joining Avante, Solomon worked in senior care roles at Nellsar Care and BUPA Care Homes at Priory Mews.


He started his career in Marketing and Customer Services and worked his way up to become a Marketing and Business Development Manager before moving to the world of social care where he completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Adult Social Care.


Solomon has a number of qualifications under his belt, including a Diploma in Marketing, a Degree in Business Administration and a Master's in Healthcare Management from Anglia Ruskin University.


Solomon enjoys reading, writing and listening to music.
