Acorn Lodge is a well-respected care home in Nuneaton that has facilities for residential, dementia or short-term respite care.

Just a short bus ride from the town centre, the home happily accommodates couples and companions who wish to remain together as they continue their care journey and make new memories side by side.

All rooms are furnished to a high standard and the spacious lounges offer opportunities for socialising and participating in activities. All residents are able to enjoy communal films in their cinema and get their hair done in the hair salon.

My dear uncle was a resident for 2 years at Acorn Lodge Care Home until he passed away in December.
The staff are so friendly and they provide exceptional care to all of the residents. The staff made a huge difference to the last 2 years of my uncles life, he was always so happy and content.
The
food choices are of a high standard and well presented. The home is nicely decorated, well furnished and very clean. I couldn't have asked for anymore from the home, they are such a great team.

My lovely aunt was a resident from August 2023 to January 5th this year when she sadly died. I cannot praise Acorn Lodge highly enough for all they did for her over her last 16 months.
She loved her room and waving to the staff as they came in and out.
She had a great sense of humour and liked to
make them laugh.
I was incredibly impressed last July when the well-being lead, matched her with a family in Canada for regular video chats. She loved Canada - we have family there and she visited many times. I was blown away by how Acorn Lodge went that extra mile to provide this bespoke activity for her, which she looked forward to so keenly every week. It really brightened her life and she loved her five minutes of fame when she was featured on the BBC too. We will be forever grateful for the care shown to her by all the staff in her final few days - it couldn't have been better. She is an exceptional manager who has created a magical atmosphere and a lovely place.

Mum went into respite care at Acorn Lodge for the period 3rd June to 15th June 2024. She was very apprehensive and reluctant, fearing she would be unhappy. I am pleased to say that she was well received by the staff and made to feel at ease from the very first moment she arrived. All the staff, knowing
her reservations, soon made her welcome and ensured she fitted in. She ate well and communicated with others far better than we expected and should the need arise in the future, she would be much more agreeable to respite thanks to this stay at Acorn Lodge.
Many thanks to the manager and staff for their kindness and consideration.

I stayed for 2 weeks while my daughter was on holiday. I was hugely impressed and cannot fault anything or anyone. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were all very caring and friendly. I enjoyed it so much that I am booked in again for June.

Visited my friend five times while she was at Acorn Lodge Care Home for two weeks. Had tea and cakes on my visits. Also had dinner with her on two lunchtimes and enjoyed very good food and service. All staff are very good and helpful. My friend has enjoyed her stay with you all and hopes to be back
next year when her daughter goes away again.

Acorn Lodge is a well-structured, organised, and effectively run care home. A credit to its staff and management.
The staff are well coordinated from care staff, catering, entertainment, housekeeping, and maintenance, together with a pleasant welcome on arrival at reception/admin.
The food is excellent
and served in a lovely "setting" dining room. "Themed" days in the home and external outings from time to time serve to add to Acorn Lodge's quality of care.
They have provided my mother with a high level of care over the 5 years as a resident. I have on numerous occasions gone "the extra mile" to ensure her needs of well-being are met.

My nan has been here now for a few months, and she is very happy and tells me it's a lovely place to live. The home always looks clean, and the meals look very nice. I've joined some of the activities and entertainment, and it's always good fun. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

My husband went into the care of acorn lodge in December 2022. I visited the care home every day and spent a lot of time with my husband I cannot fault the care my husband received. Staff were very caring and nothing was too much trouble. My husband was put on end of life care for a while and myself
and daughter were there all day with him for quite a few weeks, and they looked after us so well as a family. Sadly we lost him in June this year. They did their very best to make him happy even the girls who cleaned their.

I was very impressed with the care that was provided for my father and could not have asked for any more.
The cleanliness was always spot on
The food was lovely, and we had an option every day.
The staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble - always kept the family updated if there were any

Mum has settled in really well during her two weeks of respite care. The facilities are lovely and clean. The staff were excellent and really put Mum at ease encouraging her to walk etc. Mum has enjoyed the food and the afternoon activities put on for the residents too. Acorn Lodge is a lovely caring friendly well-run care home which always has a welcoming and homely feel. Mum's initial respite stay in Aug 22 turned into a permanent residency after she settled in so well. Mum has never once got upset as we say goodbye after each visit which gives us comfort she feels
safe there. Dementia is a terrible illness and the staff are wonderful with mum and she is extremely well cared for. It has been great to see her enjoying the activities held at the home and tucking into the wonderful cakes baked daily! I attended my first Relatives Meeting this week, the first of many I hope.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful and always with a smile. My father-in-law suffers from dementia, having been with Acorn Lodge since December 2020. He is very content and likes being looked after by the staff members! Recently, 2nd of November 2022, my mother-in-law suffered a heart attack at the
age of 92 years, and she has been accommodated by Acorn Lodge for a two-week respite stay, and again, she cannot fault anything. She also stayed in the home in September 2022 for two weeks.

There is always a welcoming and homely atmosphere when you enter Acorn Lodge. My father, who has Alzheimer's, has been a resident for nearly three years and has been extremely well cared for. I have always been kept informed via telephone if there is anything that I should be aware of relating to his
care with an honest and informative conversation. My mother recently suffered a heart attack, and I had no hesitation in booking her into Acorn Lodge for two weeks to aid her recovery, as I knew she would be well cared for.

When we arrived we were met by friendly and welcoming staff. This put my husband right at ease. Since then he has been well looked after with care and understanding. The home seems well run and only have to ask the staff at reception and they will sort it. My husband has settled in really well.

I am so pleased and happy with the service plus dedication that staff and carers give to all at Acorn Lodge. They are kind and helpful to my wife and I when I visit, I am very relieved that my wife is happy to be looked after. She enjoys all meals that are provided for her and I have Sunday dinner with
her which is excellent. It makes me so relieved to know that my wife is very happy there and she tells me, 'This is my home now'. It is good to know that there is somewhere and these care homes take the pressure off someone like me.

Dad was admitted to Acorn Lodge on Christmas Eve - he has dementia. From the word go we have been kept up to date with his progress, informed of any concerns about him, and received prompt feedback with regard to any concerns we have had. As it was during lockdown, it could have been a very stressful
experience for all of us but the staff ensured that we were able to maintain face-to-face contact (of sorts) throughout lockdown, using dad’s computer tablet. Dad tells us “the girls are so good to me”, “it’s a beautiful hotel”, “the food is excellent”! We know he wouldn’t say any of these things if it wasn’t true. Knowing he is happy, cared for and loved, makes us happy! We know that we will get to enjoy the very best of him during his twilight years, whilst his wonderful carers will take care of some of the worst. There’s always a friendly and helpful voice on the end of the phone or a smile and welcome from the moment you arrive at the care home thanks to the lovely girls in admin/reception.

Mum has been at the home for over 2-years, and during that time, she has been treated very well. The staff always have time for her and are very good with her. They always keep us well informed, and during this difficult time, we know she is safe and she is happy, which is very important.
