Seagrave House complements Glenmoor House, which is another Avery home in Corby, which has joint excursions arranged.

Three floors offer residential care as well as dementia and respite care.

The top floor is devoted to private residential suites with kitchenettes.

The home offers a shared care experience with companion suites, designed for couples, siblings or friends seeking a caring and supportive environment together.

There is a secluded rear garden and a friendly bowling club next door. Seagrave has plenty of cosy lounge areas perfect for socialising including a cinema room and a hair salon open to residents daily.

Relationships across the generations are encouraged and grandchildren are welcome to join their parents on visits. Families are encouraged to be involved in decision-making for the home.

Strong ties with the local communities have been made and local entertainers and speakers are frequent visitors.

The chefs make the meals as fresh as possible, can cater for all dietary requirements and enjoy cooking for special occasions.

Although I have rated everything excellent, I am aware there has been a few problems at the care home, ie short of staff and all staff being immunised against Covid-19. But in saying that, I have always had an excellent impression whenever I have visited and have always praised the home when talking
to anyone. The most important thing for me is my sister is very happy there. Keep up the good work!

It has been difficult to give a true assessment because of the COVID restrictions. I have only seen my mother on a few occasions in the past year. From what I have seen and heard she is being treated well.

The staff I have met since Mum has lived at Seagrave have been amazing! So kind and loving towards her. I feel that she is getting extremely good care. She is always clean and today, but I can't wait to go back into her room to clear out some of her old clothes now.

Due to Covid restrictions, this is only my second visit inside Seagrave. The Covid testing and guidelines are being followed well. One gentleman is always polite and friendly.

It is difficult to give a fair review at present as Covid restrictions mean that I have been able to visit Mum only once within her own room. As far as I can tell, Seagrave House is warm and comfortable, with all the home from home comforts I would hope for. Mum has dementia and is unable to express
herself as before, but she appears to be as content as possible in her condition. I sense that she enjoys the company of staff and fellow residents alike. When trying to ring Mum, I find it frustrating that the staff are frequently unable to connect me, as Mum's room is too far away for a decent phone connection. There are often other connection issues too. Again, this perhaps would not be such a problem in 'normal' times. The staff members I have spoken to, and those I've met, are always most friendly, and very gentle and caring with Mum. All in all, I feel happy with her care, and where I have marked 'satisfactory', I am unable to be more specific because of present restrictions.

I can only apologise regarding the connection issues with our telephone system at Seagrave House, we are currently in the process of changing our phone system to a Wi-Fi connection with new telephones, including handheld phones. This should be up and running within the next week or two and should improve the coverage throughout the home. Our well-being team are always happy to support relatives with FaceTime calls as well, and these have proved very popular.
Along with our visiting pod, we now have two internal rooms allocated for family visits, please do not hesitate to contact reception to arrange a visit; we will be opening garden visits during the warm weather too. Best wishes.

My mum has been in Seagrave House for only six weeks, and because of Covid guidelines, I am not allowed into all areas of the home. However, I have visited several times to the garden pod. I have also visited Mum inside the visitor's room, and I have been pleased each time. Mum is chatty and content.
She says the food is good. The staff I have met have been lovely, friendly and professional.

My mother is a resident at Seagrave House and is very happy there. The staff are wonderful, the food is excellent, and the care the residents receive is second to none. I have always been kept informed of Mum's health. I really cannot praise the staff too highly. A wonderful, clean environment. Mum
has been there for four years now, and we have never needed to complain. A wonderful place!

I am happy with the care of my mother at Seagrave House. The home has handled the new visiting regime really well and safely. My mother appears well and settled. Most of my dealings have been with one gentleman, who is always professional, cheerful and efficient.

My mum has been in Seagrave for over five years and is happy and well looked after. All the staff are so caring and professional, whether they are carers, domestic staff or receptionists. Any issues we have had have been dealt with promptly and satisfactory. The receptionists are so welcoming and make

Since my mother has been a resident of Seagrave House, her quality of life has improved significantly. My mother tells me that every day she enjoys her life at the home, and this is primarily down to the staff and management in the home. She sees the staff as her family, her circle of friends increased.
From my perspective, I have peace of mind knowing she is in a safe environment. If she has an accident, there is always someone there to help. I would like to pay a special mento to one gentleman who goes above and beyond.

My Mother has been living in Seagrave House since December 2019. Since this time all the staff have proved themselves to be extremely kind and caring in providing for her needs to help encourage her to feel special and cared for during this challenging time of her life. Her room and surroundings are
kept clean, welcoming and comfortable and all of this gives her a standard of living that the family are unable to match at home. I am extremely grateful to the whole team for the levels of care and attention to detail they provide in giving our family peace of mind in knowing that my Mother is well cared for and safe. My dad went into your care home in March 2020 and ever since he has been there he has truly been looked after. The home is very comfortable with dedicated staff looking after his every need. he is extremely happy and can live his life as he wishes. The COVID-19 hit us all, unfortunately we weren't allowed
to visit and all I need to do was to ring the home (my dad's speech isn't very good) and they update me. Unfortunately, my dad fell ill, the home handled everything the way I would have done myself. They are extremely efficient and compassionate and my dad is back to normal.


To sum up, we couldn't have found a better home to end up in. I just look forward to seeing him when I can. Well done to all of the staff, you are all having a trying time, but your professionalism shines through.

My mum became a resident in April 2019. All staff acknowledge you whilst in the building from reception, tea ladies, cooks and maintenance. The piano room provides a calm atmosphere for families to use during visits. The coffee machine and cakes provided helps the visit to be a home from home setting.
All staff listen to concerns and provide support to the family when required. I am now able to visit mum and walk away knowing she is in safe hands.
