The team at The Beeches, many of whom have been with the home for years, are passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and empowering them to have an active role to play in how their home is run.

Providing residential, dementia and respite care, the team are proud to involve the residents and their loved ones in every aspect of life at the home. There are resident and family ambassadors, who get involved in everything from taking part in staff interviews to providing feedback on everything from the menus to the activities.

Food is a highlight of the day for many residents – and the chef is an award-winning baker with a passion for cakes! The food is very much shaped by the residents and there is a mixture of traditional dishes, like roasts with all the trimmings, to flavours from around the world if the residents would like to try them – including Caribbean, Greek and Indian.

There are so many activities to enjoy, from pampering in the salon, cheese and wine evenings and live entertainment, to gentle exercise and gardening in the home’s vegetable patch.

The team embrace the community into the home, with visiting students and community volunteers.

The Beeches also has a namaste room, a cinema room and a café, where residents can relax with friends and family, who are welcome at any time, over tea and homemade cake.

The home also has a Magic Table, an amazing piece of technology designed for people living with dementia, where residents can play interactive light games together.

The gardens are a beautiful spot to relax in, with raised planters and wheelchair friendly pathways. Some of the bedrooms, which are all ensuite, have patio access to the gardens.

My Mom had been in The Beeches for more than 6 years and sadly passed away there in April. Due to commitments, this review has been delayed, but it's most important to me to write this now for anyone thinking about using this care home for their loved ones. Throughout the whole time there, the service
and kindness have been second to none, and all of the staff and management are thoroughly committed to their job and to the residents, the meals were all of a great standard, and even throughout Covid they all seemed to cope and stay smiling. When my mom passed away there, I was on holiday, and they were all amazing and took care of so many things for me which made it so much easier when I got home. My mom suffered from Dementia, and in my opinion, it takes special people to be able to handle this awful disease. There are many things that I would never have been able to handle in those later stages, and over the 6 years, I saw many great things that the staff did to help the residents.

The staff are lovely, very patient and caring to the residents. I would especially like to thank one member of staff for her perseverance with my mother. The staff do a wonderful job dealing with difficult people on a day to day basis.

Very happy with Mom being here. Wished she would leave her room to eat in the dining room and join in with activities (hence the low score). The staff are very nice to me and as Mom hasn't moaned must be great to her.

My Mum has always said that she is looked after well and would not cope on her own. The staff are always helpful, especially during the COVID pandemic and will contact you if there are any problems. I can phone Mum to talk which is great, especially when she is feeling down.

Very happy with all aspects of this care home. The staff are excellent and very caring. They have always kept me up to date with how Mom is when I can't visit because of Covid. It is very reassuring to know how well Mom is being cared for.

An excellent experience for my mother-in-law who has lived in The Beeches Residential Care Home since 2016. She has dementia but the staff always treat her well, keep her safe and she has thrived, even during the last eighteen months.

My father, who is 104, has been a resident at The Beeches Care Home for nearly 5-years; he is very happy there. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, and I'm always kept informed regarding his well being during lockdown restrictions. I feel so lucky that he's being well cared for and loved,
I don't have to worry. I haven't seen him properly for 11-months and miss not being able to chat and hold his hand, but hopefully, this won't be for much longer. Thank you to all the staff.

My mother was a resident for over two years, and the quality of care she received was second to none. Staff are caring, compassionate and always cheerful, which gives the home a lovely atmosphere. Food is home-cooked and of a very high standard.
My mother also had end of life care there, which was
so much better than a hospital, and we saw first hand the dedication of the whole team not only to Mom but also us her family. They made a very difficult time more bearable.
If you are looking for care facilities for a loved one, look no further, you won't find better.

My mum went into the Beeches after we thought she was unable to care for herself anymore.
She settled in well, she gained weight and looked so much healthier, happier and stronger. I haven't been able to visit, due to covid, but my sister has seen the home so she has told me the Beeches is a very good
home for Mum. I have been impressed with the friendliness of the staff when I have rung the home and my sister says they are very helpful too.

Since becoming a resident in August, Mum has put on weight, become more engaged and is more positive about things. Because of Mum’s needs and the COVID-19 situation, settling into the home was a confusing time for her, but the staff were kind and professional and quickly built a trusting relationship.
She is joining in with activities now and has the confidence to leave her room all by herself to speak to the other residents.
The staff are the most wonderful people! They are patient and gentle, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is marvellous to see that Mum seems more like her old self and, in my opinion, this is due to the care from the entire staff team. They are led by a manager who is friendly, compassionate, efficient and knowledgeable.
Each day, and night, the amazing team at The Beeches puts in 100% effort to ensure that Mum is happy and safe.
I cannot express my thanks adequately enough.

Mom has been in The Beeches Care Home since March 2019. In October 2020 Mom celebrated her 90th birthday, due to the care home visiting restrictions (Covid-19 pandemic), we were unable to visit to celebrate Mom's special day. The staff and management did everything they could to enable us to spend a
short amount of time with Mom on her birthday. Mom was safely secured behind the locked glass entrance doors to the home and we were outside. The staff arranged for Mom to open her presents and cards whilst we watched and chatted to her over the telephone. Even though it was far from the celebration that we would have planned, without the hard work and support of the staff we would not have been able to celebrate with Mom. The staff have worked hard during the pandemic to keep the residents safe and the home Covid free. Well done.

Mum has dementia and moved into the Beeches 12 months ago. She settled in quite quickly and everyone was very welcoming towards her. Obviously, we have been unable to visit throughout most of this awful pandemic but Mum has been kept safe and well. The staff has been amazing keeping in regular contact
with us throughout with phone calls, emails and newsletters. They even took the time to send us photos of Mum and thank you letters, written on her behalf, following Mum's birthday. Thank you so much to all the staff.

The care home has gone above and beyond for my 90-year-old nan. She recently had a stroke and was admitted to hospital which wasn't an easy experience with COVID. However, the care home went out of their way to make sure we were okay as a family and reassured us on the care for my nan.

My cousin initially stayed at The Beeches Care Home for a period of Respite care during which he was so content and felt secure he decided to stay full-time rather than move into his own apartment.
Prior to the Covid-19 situation and since I can only express my gratitude and admiration to every member
of staff at Beeches Care Home for looking after all of the residents as if they were their own family members.

My mother was widowed in 2016 and coped on her own until August 2018 when she fell and had to go into hospital. She realised then that she could not live on her own and myself and my brother set about looking at care homes. We viewed several and decided on The Beeches in Northfield. This was indeed
a very good decision for us as my dear 97-year-old mum settled in very well when she moved there in October 2018. The rooms are roomy with excellent facilities, we were able to take in pictures for her room and items that reminded her of events in her life. The rooms are kept clean and tidy and the laundry is always up to a great standard. She enjoys the food and the entertainment which is arranged. The staff are just wonderful and show great empathy with the residents who mostly are in different stages of dementia. I have always felt that kindness will win the race and the carers, staff and management show great kindness to all their residents.

Unfortunately, Dad has had to leave The Beeches due to a reduction in his mobility as the home cannot provide full nursing care. This is a great shame as he was very happy there and received excellent care for the 18 months spent with them. The staff are all very dedicated and caring. They were really
sorry that he had to move out.
Facilities are good and should Dad's mobility improve in the future we will be looking to bring him back.

Staff very approachable - always willing to listen. Food excellent, my Mom has put on weight in 5 weeks she has been a resident. Manager very helpful - spent time sourcing a profiling bed and pressure-relieving mattress to match what my Mom had in her home. Residents coffee morning useful to obtain
resident's feedback and to discuss the running of the home.

I began my career in care as an activities coordinator, discovering the joy of bringing happiness and purpose to residents.


Later, as a care assistant, I had the privilege of ensuring residents received tailored care informed by their unique histories and needs.


In my senior care roles, I embraced a person-centred approach, treating residents like extended family. I believe in truly knowing each individual, and helping them to live fulfilling lives.


Becoming a mother deepened my empathy for families, teaching me to address even small concerns with compassion and care. I always strive to view situations through the lens of how I would want my own loved ones treated.


Now, as Home Manager at The Beeches, I bring years of experience and a passion for creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where residents, their families, and staff feel valued and supported.
