Can highly recommend Cumbrae House Care Home. The care, attention and love they have shown my mother goes above and beyond their responsibilities. From day one I have felt reassured that my mother is in capable hands. I have no worries at all!

Cumbrae House have been very accommodating to our whole family. Rooms are nice and staff are very friendly, helpful and patient. They have taken very good care of my grandfather. Very thankful.

My father has been a resident at Cumbrae House since November 2020. The staff have been fantastic at making him feel at home and he tells me he loves being here. He has had a few health issues and they have been dealt with promptly and with lots of care. I feel that I'm always up to date with his care
and all the staff are lovely and treat my dad with care and dignity.

Cumbrae House Care Home staff look after my mum and keep her safe. They facilitate my visits and nothing is too much bother for them, the home and garden area are kept clean and tidy. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

The comfort and care my uncle had received since he entered Cumbrae House Care Home in 2012 had been excellent. My uncle was able to choose his room and seeing him happy the day he first visited was a memorable moment. The staff had been there to comfort him during his ups and downs of his life and
looked after him very well, by allowing him to live his life as if he had been in his own home. The staff had also been a great support to my father during the time his brother was a resident and could not have been kinder.

From the initial process of getting my gran's placement arranged to the ongoing care and support she received during her stay, we can't thank the staff at Cumbrae House Care Home enough. From the beginning of gran's stay until she sadly passed in Feb 2021, staff were very professional, knowledgeable
and personable both in caring for my gran and in liaising with the family. During the first 2 lockdowns, we were still permitted a visit each week which meant a lot to us and gran. Any medical updates were communicated promptly and clearly to us. Staff were always willing to take the time to provide us with very regular updates on gran's wellbeing. When we were able to visit gran in her room we were very impressed by the conditions in Cumbrae. The communal areas were bright and clean as was my gran's room. There was no institutional smell. The facilities were well kept and the staff team truly cared about my gran's welfare. the service was above and beyond and I've recommended the facility to many people.

I would like to thank the manager, she took me in a year ago when I was ill and was having a very bad time. I have come on great. They are great staff and she has made this home lovely, so we can live here and enjoy our lives. The manager makes time for us so it is great. Staff are good. I have worked
in homes and this home is great. I hope to stay here with everyone.

The care home is lovely, welcoming and they have done everything they could have to get my gran settled and they are always checking if we need anything and are updated on how my gran is.
Recently at my visit, we got given the chance to use the screen for a hug which made my grand year so thank you.

The staff in the care home go above and beyond ensuring scheduled visits, throughout this pandemic run as smoothly as possible, ensuring the safety of both resident and visitor. Whether it’s an outdoor or indoor visit, strict measures are in place. Always 2 meters apart, glass screen in position, face-covering
secure and hand sanitizer always in use. I enjoyed a wonderfully emotional visit with my Auntie 23/12/20 Huge thanks to the care home manager for arranging the “cuddle curtain”. I’m told I was only the 3rd visitor to experience this and it’s absolutely intense and fantastic! To be able to hold Auntie’s hands, touch her cheeks, stroke her hair was just so overwhelming. I was overcome with tears and Auntie too, we haven’t been able to touch since March and feeling the warmth of her hands and her kissing my hands was just so momentous. It gave both Auntie and me, and the staff such a boost. Smiles and tears all round - so thankful for these precious moments. Thank you again for all the wonderful care staff!

My mum-in-law has been a resident in Cumbrae House for 3 years now and has thrived (as much as you possibly can with dementia) with their care. Since the start of the pandemic they have done their absolute best to keep all the residents safe and well and as soon as was allowed have facilitated outside
visits. The visits are closely monitored to ensure visitors comply with all regulations, we appreciate how hard this task is but will be eternally grateful to them for keeping my wee mum-in-law safe and well. She had her 90th birthday last week and although we couldn’t see her on her special day the staff had a cake and a wee party for her and gave us pictures of her and a few days later when we could visit they arranged a wee birthday tea for us, yes it’s hard with no physical contact but if it keeps everyone safe it has to be worth it. To all the staff, you are all doing a great job and we appreciate everything you do we could not ask for any better care for her. Stay safe.

I don't recommend service providers to 3rd parties.
However, I have to say that this home appears to provide a more than adequate standard of care at this level. Perhaps a little more of stimulating activities and personal contact with staff particularly in the absence of regular visits due to Covid.

My father has been a resident here for 2 years. In that time there has been an improvement in his general well being and he is very happy. The staff take really good care of him and they keep me informed of his progress which is very helpful as I do not live locally.

The care shown to my aunt improved her quality of life for the past five months. The staff were always attentive to her needs as she had vascular dementia. Sadly she passed away, and the compassion and dignity shown to the family at this sad time by all the staff in attendance was much appreciated.

I like this care home. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. My Dad is well looked after and he looks really good. He's always clean and so is his room. Before he went into care he was ill and spent so much time in and out5 of hospital. My Dad has been here a year now and not once has he been
