Thank you for your review. We are naturally disappointed in your comments which we feel is misleading to the reader.
Your father and mother were with us for 21 and 27 months respectively, with nothing but positive and complimentary feedback. It was a privilege and pleasure to have them in our care and they are remembered fondly.
As you are aware Godswell is not designed nor registered for residents whose primary needs are dementia related. When your father passed away your mother’s needs fell into this category and was calling out constantly day and night. Her room was situated in the middle of the ground floor, surrounded by other residents’ rooms and facing the hair salon. This caused distress and upset to other residents.
We discussed this matter with you and advised you, for your mother’s best interest, to seek a specialist dementia unit who could provide her with more suitable care. This decision was not taken lightly and would always be our very last option. We are all heartened that your mother has settled in well in her new home. We wish you and your family all the very best.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate constructive criticism as a means to improve our service. However, in this case we feel there is little value in your comments.
You booked your husband into Godswell for a period of respite from the 30th March to the 12th April. We apologise that during his stay there was an issue with his toilet. We regret that you were informed it would take a few days until Tuesday before it could be rectified. This was an error. The blockage had been caused by an inordinate number of wet wipes and paper towels being incorrectly flushed down the loo. At the time of your visit our maintenance team had been assessing the situation further ‘down-stream’ in the building. They managed to resolve the blockage in your husband’s en-suite the same day it was reported and the ‘down-stream’ issue was solved shortly after you left.
We sadly could not accommodate your request to keep your husband on a longer-term basis beyond this respite period. You kindly sent three apology cards to our staff, regarding your husband’s behaviour during his stay, and this was greatly appreciated by staff and management.
