At the innovative new Baylham Care Centre, carers aim to offer unparalleled levels of service ranging from respite to long term nursing, from rehabilitation and physiotherapy to Dementia and holistic End of Life care.

Many of the facilities are new to this country. For example, there are wireless communications in each room that allows members of staff to talk to or summon anyone within the building, thereby saving valuable time. Also, they have the capability when the situation requires it to have residents remotely monitored by their doctor, who can determine what, if any, action should be taken. Time spent by staff with the residents is very important; therefore, they have installed many labour-saving systems to ensure this happens as often as possible.

Every effort has been made to cater for the needs of residents. This includes a wide range of accommodation, on and off site facilities, freshly prepared food to meet dietary requirements, relaxing surroundings with sensory gardens, themed reminiscence lounges and stunning panoramic views across the Gipping Valley.

Within the 55 rooms, there are 4 double rooms.
Currently, residents range from 32 to 100 years old. They are able to accept Adults over 18 years.

They have a range of activities at Baylham Care Centre, from trips out, Bingo, Cinema Club, sing-a-longs, quizzes, coffee mornings, Chair Aerobics, Arts & Crafts, Flower Arranging and Baking to name but a few.

A wonderful care home where nothing is too much trouble. The staff are caring and incredibly helpful. You can visit anytime normally but COVID has restricted this, but safety comes first. I get regular updates and photos.

I cannot thank everyone at Baylham Care Centre enough for all their hard work, support, care and especially love for the residents, their families and each other during these past 4 months. Since Dad came to live at Baylham now over a year ago I have had nothing but praise for them but during the Covid-19
pandemic they have been amazing! Dad tested positive for Covid-19 and we had a very worrying time but with the love and care of staff he is now well, we were shown so much love as was Dad and every method used to keep us in touch with him and updated. The whole team, management, nursing, carers, activities, cooks, cleaners, office staff, gardeners, physios, hairdressers if I've missed anyone I am truly sorry, but everyone of them shows Dad love and respect and makes every day he has as meaningful and joyful as they can, I could not want any more than that.

The team at Baylham Care Centre took over the full-time care of our father four years ago as his Alzheimer’s condition seriously deteriorated. They have consistently been wonderful, caring and supportive during the often difficult stages of his illness and our dad has always seemed ‘at home’ in their
care. Choosing the right care home is such a difficult and emotional decision but we can say, without hesitation, that we have never regretted choosing Baylham for our dear dad.

It was one of the hardest decisions we had to make as a family, moving Dad from his home into residential care. However, choosing the home for Dad was not so difficult as Baylham Care Centre had provided outstanding care for our Aunt and Uncle, and this reassured us immensely. Dad moved into Baylham
in December 2019 and has settled in well thanks to the high standard of care and attention given by all the staff at the Centre. Everyone you meet at Baylham has a ready smile and a kind word, they genuinely care about their residents. When we visited Dad, we were always made welcome and when Covid-19 threatened the safety of our loved ones, understandably no visits to the home were allowed. Throughout the past four months, we have received numerous photos, videos, FaceTime calls, phone calls and even one socially distanced visit. Our family is very grateful for the outstanding care my dad has received and I have no hesitation in recommending Baylham Care Centre.

The staff are so helpful and caring, you will always receive a warm welcome when you visit including if you would like a cuppa. Recently with lockdown, the tri-weekly updates have been comforting and staff have gone above and beyond by arranging FaceTime so that I can see Mum. Nothing is too much trouble
for the wonderful staff at Baylham. Mum is happy at her home on the hill.

My dad who is 100, has always been against moving to a care home. However in April due to the pandemic and breakdown in his homecare, it was decided to place him at Baylham Care Centre for respite. The process from enquiry to him arriving only took a couple of days. The staff at Baylham are kind, caring
and approachable. They clearly go the extra mile to ensure their residents are as happy and healthy as possible. The time, care, interaction and innovative ways they provide activities and keep the residents in contact with their families, even during the lockdown, are invaluable. Dad's needs are met to an excellent standard. The change in Dad has been extraordinary, he has improved both mentally and physically. He loves "his hotel home" at Baylham and requested to stay permanently. I would absolutely recommend Baylham Care Centre as the home of your choice, as I honestly feel so relaxed knowing he is contented and well cared for. I thank all of the staff from the bottom of my heart for all that they do.

During this period of lockdown, I have been impressed with the communications coming from Baylham to advise me, as a relative, of the protective standards being reached for residents' care. Constant e-mails updating us, along with the provision of WhatsApp contact to talk to my mother and make visual

My aunt didn't want to go into a care home. But she flourished at Baylham. The hospital thought she would be there 3 months, but she left us 18 months later.
I visited regularly and was impressed by the quality and consistency of the care, the sheer love the staff show towards the residents, the warmth
they showed to me, and the happy spirit that exists, despite the underlying sadness of a lot of what they do. They were excellent about communicating with me, anticipating future needs and potential problems, and providing solutions before problems became critical.
The ground floor is specifically for residents with dementia. The building is modern and has been designed as a care home with those needs, not adapted, which makes a huge difference, as does having nurses, physiotherapists, activity coordinators and a hairdresser onsite.
I have never regretted the choice we had to make. My aunt was unable to remember to say thank you to the staff. Our family will never forget.

This home is very good, the best we have seen. My wife is 63 years old and has about 12 different visitors a week as she is young. The staff are excellent and all welcome us. We all can't speak highly enough of them even to the point they get to know the names of the visitors!

I would definitely recommend Baylham, I couldn't have asked for any better. The care was brilliant and the nurses/carers actually do care. Nothing was to much trouble and after spending months in hospital my brother was in a much better place thanks to the staff. Unfortunately, my brother passed away
after a short while, but the care was second to none, with the help of Baylham he passed away with dignity and for that, I will be ever grateful. Thank you from all the family.

My husband was well cared for until he passed away and he was kept clean. The bed linen was spotless and changed every day - nothing was too much trouble. He was tube-fed and could not take part in activities.

I would highly recommend Baylham Care Centre where my father has been receiving respite care.
He has had wonderful care and attention, affording him the utmost dignity.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful towards my father, myself and family and also other residents.
There is always someone
available to speak to regarding updates and information.
There are regular activities arranged during the week, including outings and my father has been taken to a garden centre and farm which he really enjoyed.
He has also loved the panoramic views across the Gipping Valley from the picture windows.
Overall, there is a good feeling as you enter the building and this permeates throughout the care centre.

After my wife spent weeks, months in hospital with multi health issues it was decided on her discharge that she required 24/7 nursing that was not possible in our own small home, so it was agreed for her to go to a Care/Nursing Home.
I heard from friends that Baylham Care Centre was very good and was
the closest to where we live. After I arrange to visit to Baylham Care Centre I was extremely impressed.
My wife is now in the best possible Care Centre, she is now getting 247 care, the staff and management are so caring not only to my wife but to myself as I visit my wife 6 to 8 hours a day, she has a lovely room and enjoys taking part in the activities, the meals are excellent, my wife is so pleased to be in such a lovely home.
I am so grateful to all the nursing staff the carers and management for all their help in caring for my wife, I am lost for words.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and supportive to both my Father and to the family when we visit.
There are plenty of activities available for the residents and also outings on a regular basis.

My mother-in-law had been pressing us to promise for months "not to put her into a home". However, a deterioration in her health led to it being necessary. We saw several centres and were immediately impressed in our initial visits by the care given and interest taken by the staff in the residents when
they probably didn't realise they were being observed.
It was the right decision to place her in the care of the staff at Baylham. She could not participate in the many activities organised for the residents and due to her health, she spent most of her two months there in bed in her room. The medical treatment, general care and interest taken by staff was very apparent when she told us that she felt 'safe' there and seeing her relationship with some of them when we were there. This pastoral care extended throughout the range of staff roles.
We were always welcomed on our daily visits, including with her great-grandson and always informed how things were going.

My mother was resident in Baylham Care Centre for just over a year. She was confined to bed but she was cared for to the best of their ability for which I thank all the staff. The food was lovely and she enjoyed her fried breakfasts and fish and chips. Although in a lot of pain with her legs the staff
were always on hand to help with this. At a very difficult time for all the family they were always there to talk to and advice. Many thanks.

My Mother had been a resident of Baylam pretty much since it opened. She had been in a previous care home which couldn't cope with her increasing dementia needs.
My Sister found Baylam (we had visited several other care homes) and from the day she went there never have we as a family regretted that
decision.
I work in an industry where unannounced audits /inspections are commonplace, I have visited Baylam at various times of the day and never seen anything that concerned me. Mum was always clean as was her room and the whole building. The food was always excellent. I know how hard is to keep those standards up and I applaud you for it.
I have good memories of visiting on a Saturday morning and Mum was always included in the activities even though she didn't really take part you could see she enjoyed watching what was going on.

The team at Baylham have cared for my mother for over 7 years. During that time her care needs changed and the staff were able to adjust the support accordingly and in full consultation with the family. I believe mum felt safe and genuinely cared for during her time at Baylham for which we are grateful.
High
dependency care is difficult and demanding but the staff approach it with humour and warmth. They are a great team and I commend them to any other families looking for a safe home for their loved ones.
