At the innovative new Baylham Care Centre, carers aim to offer unparalleled levels of service ranging from respite to long term nursing, from rehabilitation and physiotherapy to Dementia and holistic End of Life care.

Many of the facilities are new to this country. For example, there are wireless communications in each room that allows members of staff to talk to or summon anyone within the building, thereby saving valuable time. Also, they have the capability when the situation requires it to have residents remotely monitored by their doctor, who can determine what, if any, action should be taken. Time spent by staff with the residents is very important; therefore, they have installed many labour-saving systems to ensure this happens as often as possible.

Every effort has been made to cater for the needs of residents. This includes a wide range of accommodation, on and off site facilities, freshly prepared food to meet dietary requirements, relaxing surroundings with sensory gardens, themed reminiscence lounges and stunning panoramic views across the Gipping Valley.

Within the 55 rooms, there are 4 double rooms.
Currently, residents range from 32 to 100 years old. They are able to accept Adults over 18 years.

They have a range of activities at Baylham Care Centre, from trips out, Bingo, Cinema Club, sing-a-longs, quizzes, coffee mornings, Chair Aerobics, Arts & Crafts, Flower Arranging and Baking to name but a few.

My Mum was admitted in a very poor state of health after illness and from the very first minute they made her welcome and as comfortable as possible. Their prompt action in calling the doctor when they felt she needed it probably saved her life and after a brief stay in the hospital, she returned to
Baylham and I can now relax in the knowledge that she is well cared for. From hardly being able to sit, she is now walking with a frame. She is happy and content. The staff are so kind and caring and deal promptly with any requests. The atmosphere of the home is amazing, there are lots of activities for those that want to join in, celebrating Easter, Mothers Day and Chelsea flower show to name but a few. And if she wants so stay in her room, that's fine too as the staff are always popping in and out so she never feels alone.

My daughter (a stroke victim) is a resident at Baylham Care Centre since November 2016 has always been treated with love and respect, but on mothers day the staff went above and beyond normal care standards. Her three children and myself were cosseted and spoilt alongside her all day long. From the
wonderful greeting as soon as we walked through the door. The lovely home cooked lunch and beautiful table setting we all shared. The mothers day activities the home provided and the wonderful surprise of a mother's day card and flowers for me courtesy of the carers because they knew that my daughter could not provide them for me. Caring, loving and thoughtful in the extreme. A wonderful home.

Comfortable and friendly care home, with professional staffing and an emphasis on client dignity and respect.
Varied themes and activities showed imagination to provide mental stimulation to residents.
All in all, a good place for my mum to spend her final years.

When I was looking for a nursing home for my mother - and I looked at a lot - Baylham Care Centre was streets ahead of the others. Most of the others were like hotels, and I thought I wouldn't want to live in a hotel and I don't think my mum would either.
Baylham is homely and the staff are so kind
and helpful. My mum said sometime after arriving that I needn't look for anywhere else 'I like it here'.
My brother, who lives in Canada came over for a week when it was Mum's birthday, and when he returned to Canada he e-mailed me to say he got back safely and said 'thanks for finding Mum such a nice place'. This says it all. Would thoroughly recommend Baylham Care Centre to anyone.

My mother has just passed away after 4 and a half years at Baylham Care Centre. From moving into the home until passing away, my mother was treated to an excellent standard at all times by all staff.
The home is built to a very high standard and perfectly set-out. Communication to and from all parties
has been superb and efficient. There have always been activities to be involved in. The home management and staff have been very supportive and approachable concerning bereavement and necessary arrangements.
Mother and family highly recommend Baylham Care Centre.

Baylham Care Centre gave excellent care to my cousin. I felt that she was always treated with respect. All the staff seemed to be involved with care of residents, and it was well-staffed. I often sat quietly and observed staff behaviour and never had any concerns about their treatment of residents.
My cousin received end of life care at Baylham, after a severe stroke. In her last few days she was treated with love and dignity.

Mum spent four weeks at Baylham Care Centre, after a period of ill health, partly at home and partly in hospital. On her arrival, she was given every comfort, both physically and mentally, which continued throughout her stay. Staff were all so kind, caring and friendly, to patients and family alike,
and their dedication could not be faulted.
