My mother is currently staying in the home after breaking her tibia in 5 places. She has been well cared for by the lovely staff who are very helpful and make you feel welcome. Mam has enjoyed the meals at the home, and there is always plenty to drink for example water and tea. We would like to thank
all the staff for the care and support they have provided.

Our experience of Evergreen is very positive and I cannot praise all of the staff enough for getting to know our resident and to care and talk to him on a one-to-one basis. They had got to know his interests and are prepared to listen with interest and interaction and help him develop those interests.
He has his own comfortable warm spacious personalised room with TV, and when visiting it is like sitting at home and therefore easy and relaxing. I visit regularly and I am always made to feel welcome as is my companion if we have been out for half an hour or all afternoon.

The food is homemade delicious and with choices for all meals and plenty of drinks and snacks in between and I am never left out! He likes to play the host so all of these dimensions have helped him settle in and again make it feel easy and like home. Thank you all at Evergreen.

Mam always seems relaxed and at ease when myself and family visit her. She speaks highly of all the staff. Mam has put weight on since she went to live at Evergreen Court and family say that she looks well and happy. It has taken away stress for myself and family members knowing that Mam is being cared
for in a dignified capacity. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for staff.

Very happy with Evergreen Court Residential Care Home. Pleasant staff and very welcoming, really helpful and I'm more than pleased with the care and attention my mother receives. This is a small family-friendly care home whose staff can't do enough to help you. The cook really helped me with my intolerance to certain foods by making me food without the lactose in it.

Lovely small single-storey ground floor layout.
Staff are all really hard working and friendly; allowed me to stay over through the evening when Dad was poorly.
Rooms are checked every two hours throughout the night.
Any incidents (eg falls) were immediately reported to the family.
Easy access
to the small garden area.

Thank you so much for your very kind review. The carers do a fantastic job, and I am extremely proud of them. The current pandemic has brought its own pressures, however, all have stepped up a gear and ensured we maintain our high standards. Thank you once again.

My mother is well looked after by caring staff most notably one staff member who understands my mother's needs. Along with a few other members who take the time to engage with my mam.
She is kept clean, comfortable and treated with respect.

The home is of a suitable size so a more personal service is provided. Staff turnover is a concern at times as it does cause short-term problems when unfamiliar replacements stand in. Activities have reduced when one member of staff who introduced some tailored activities moved on.
All in all, no problems
experienced with this home.

The staff in Evergreen Care Home are professional and treat the residents with compassion and dignity.
Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.
I feel that my mother has been well treated/looked after during her time at Evergreen. I feel the staff take a lot of pressure off the family especially
when she has been ill.

My father has been in Evergreen Court Residential Care Home for three and a half years. The staff are always welcoming and the home has a happy atmosphere. Because of its smaller capacity, the staff know the residents well and so can cater for their individual needs.
They are also very communicative
about my father's situation and involve us in decisions and concerns about his welfare.

I visit my mother several times a week at the care home. As a family, we are delighted with the care mum receives and since she has moved in here has improved leaps and bounds. The care she gets from the staff is excellent, we feel she is well looked after in every aspect: health, meals, neat and tidy
room, her cleanliness etc. I have witnessed Mam joining in various activities including bingo, cheeseboard, colouring in, quiz, sing songs, darts, dominoes and much more. Only a small care home but cannot fault it in every way.

The Evergreen Court Residential Care Home in my opinion, is a fantastic place. The staff are so friendly and make us all welcome every time we visit to see my mum. They are so caring and cannot do enough to make sure my mum is well looked after. My mum has settled in well since moving in there in December.
The food is all home cooked and my mum likes it which is a bonus for us. I like the homely feeling that it has and with only 17 rooms it has a nice family atmosphere to it. I feel so much better that my mum is getting the care she requires in her time of need and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Once again the staff are fantastic.

Evergreen Court is a very good care home.
Small but very friendly staff are fantastic nothing is a problem.
I have found larger care homes very impersonal no integration with Evergreen is very friendly and comfortable, homely, warm and safe. This is what we want for our elderly relatives. The staff
interact with residents constantly making sure they are extremely well looked after. I cannot find a fault with Evergreen Court.

My grandmother has lived at Evergreen for six years and the care received has made our family feel at ease from the start, knowing she was in a safe and happy care home with the lovely staff. The staff have a great rapport with both residents and family members and many carers are always willing to
help and go beyond their duties when needed. We particularly like that the home has only 17 residents, this helps the feeling of a 'homely' and family friendly environment. However, we are disappointed that recently a few of the highly valued/original members of staff have left.

Hi Stacey, firstly may I thank you for your kind testimonial. It is always sad to lose good staff from an organisation, however, rest assured that those staff now with the company are working to the same company ethos to provide excellent care to all our residents. I'm sure those new staff will, if not already, become highly valued by residents and relatives alike.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.127)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.127) out of 10 for Evergreen Court Residential Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.627 for Evergreen Court Residential Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (40 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.627

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Evergreen Court Residential Care Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 17 registered maximum number of service users is 3.4, which has been reached with 5 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
