This is just a photo glance of what I observed and gained from the resident. We were welcomed at reception, signed in, hand care then plastic aprons, not quite sure of the need for these. We were then allowed to go through to see our resident friend. The place was warm and friendly. Our friend looked
well cared for including hair. She said all the care workers were warm and friendly and the meals good although she had no appetite. We had a lovely afternoon visit. The following week we were able to bring two of our elderly friends and we all had an enjoyable visit at the Manor House. Thank you for making this possible.

We came to visit my brother which was sad as it was the first time of visiting him but were very happy to find an extremely nice and happy home, everyone we met (there were quite a few as not knowing where to go) were very polite and helpful.

On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The procedure for visits was carefully explained prior to our visit and all rules were complied with during our visits. The staff were very attentive to the friend that we visited.

Although our loved one has only been at Lincombe Manor for a short time, I cannot speak highly enough about the care and attention he has been given. From a negative prognosis in hospital, somehow this marvelous nursing home appears to have performed a miracle on him. He was incredibly weak, unable
to swallow, and had lost the will to live. In just a few short weeks he is so much stronger, looks forward to each delicious meal time, and most importantly has regained a zest for life. The staff are kind, caring and extremely helpful particularly in their support to relatives. We are extremely grateful to all at Lincombe Manor and will have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful nursing home to others.

I had a great time when I visited my mother, it was very well organised, all the information about the covid was all up to date.
I come from Eastbourne so I had to book my place with Mum and everything was organised very well.
The lounge where I saw Mum was very well done with tables and chairs and
all that the residents need.

It was our first time at Lincombe Manor nursing home, we went there to meet up with my mother; who is at present a resident there, we found that everyone we came across from care staff to nurses very kind and very understanding, which takes a lot of pressure off when you know your loved one is being
looked after well.
My mother said she loves it there and finds all the staff very nice indeed, always laughing.
So I say yes, I would put your nursing home very highly recommended to anyone who needs to put a loved one in a home. Keep up the good work and a massive thank you for making my mum's stay with you as pleasant and nice as you are.

My mother has been a resident for over 3 years and requires intensive nursing care. The professional care my mother has received has been exceptional and individualised to her needs and she is always treated with respect and compassion. I thank the staff for their unwavering dedication and personal
sacrifices made through an unprecedented time showing great resilience as a team. I would like to mention the manager's exceptional management, leadership and pragmatism and of course her sense of humour which has seen us all through. Covid protocols have been stringently adhered to and the appointment of the covid administrator demonstrates the home's commitment to safety. The covid administrator is professional and thorough in her approach and is valuable in providing a safe environment for all. I would wholly recommend the home without hesitation.

A very friendly and efficient system of testing when visiting eased any worries over Covid19. Extremely helpful member of staff to welcome you and prepare you before entering the home. Wonderful to be able to have a quiet hour with my mum.
Sadly, my mum has been unable to venture from her room due
to her illness, so I am unable to comment on the care home facilities.
However, people we know have always rated them highly.

When my friend had a fall and was taken into hospital, part of his return was to go into a local care home and this was very stressfull for him and us. The homes he was put in were not the best. Shortly after this time we were going on holiday and for our peace of mind we asked our friend if he would
like to go into a care centre for respite care which he was happy with.
On our return and bringing him back to his own home he astounded us by saying he was so happy with the care and ambience of Lincombe Care Centre that he asked us to arrange for him to be put on the list to move there for good and sell his home for him.
That has been the best outcome and he is happy and we are too. He is well taken care of, when we visit he always looks smart and clean and well.

My father has been a resident at Lincombe Manor for over a year now. He has been looked after extremely well and the staff are friendly, kind and caring. He has been kept very safe in what has been a tumultuous year for all of us. I am extremely impressed with the procedures in place to guard against
infection and transmission of the virus.
Lincombe Manor is in a superb location with spectacular views over Torbay. My father, once a very keen sailor, loves the views.
I have just returned from my first indoors visit for more than 12 months. I was very impressed with the protocol in place to test visitors, coach us in anti-infection processes and the provision of appropriate PPE.
Well done all at Lincombe!

The team are a great group of professionals who really looked after Mum, and cared for her.
As someone who lives overseas the whole situation with COVID was worrying; Lincombe did a superb job

I am extremely happy that my partner is a resident at Lincombe Manor. He has settled very well and has a good repour with all the staff. I have FaceTimed him 3 times a week and am so looking forward to the new arrangements that are about to take place very soon. The staff have kept us fully up to date

I qualified as a General Nurse in January 2003 after completing my training in Exeter with the University of Plymouth. I remained in Exeter, working at The Nuffield Hospital as a junior nurse and at The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. I then joined the care sector which led me towards working as a Clinical Care Manager with Elizabeth Finn Homes for 10 years, which I thoroughly enjoyed.


Away from work, I live in Exeter with my husband and two children, Freya and Harrison. I enjoy horse riding, walking my two dogs and holidaying with my family.

My name is Helen, and I am the Clinical Lead RN here at Lincombe Manor Care Centre. I began my nurse training in 1985, starting in hospital settings in Herefordshire, Lincolnshire and South Devon. I have always felt very blessed to be able to find a career which I feel so proud and passionate about.


I relocated back to South Devon from Lincolnshire in 2017, which is when I began my journey at Lincombe Manor Care Centre, progressing in my role from RN, to Senior RN and becoming Clinical lead in 2024.


Away from work, I enjoy walking in beautiful Devon. I love nature and its vast variety of birds and animals. That said, I am equally happy to sit in a café with a good book and a latte, on a rainy day.

Grace Agapay

Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse

Hello, my name is Grace and I have worked at Lincombe Manor Care Centre for 8 years but have been a Nurse for 16 years. I am a very experienced nurse and very much enjoy my job and being at Lincombe Manor. I enjoy looking after and socialising with the residents, each one is very special. I am a hard worker and take my role very seriously but can also relax and enjoy time with the residents and my fellow colleagues. In my spare time, I enjoy food, singing and learning to play my guitar. I am also very close to my family.

Sinead Leonard

Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse

My name is Sinead and I have been here at Lincombe for 2 years as a senior RN, but I have been a Registered Nurse for 21 years.


Originally from Ireland, I moved over to England and now enjoy Nursing in the beautiful South West.


When not working I spend lots of time with my two beautiful children, who mean the world to me.


Holly

Holly Bradshaw

Job Title: Lead Administrator

Joined: 2015

My name is Holly and I am the lead Administrator here at Lincombe Manor Care Centre. Some of my roles are calculating and running payroll, and aiding Head Office with admissions and petty cash. I am well supported by Andrea and between us we keep Admin running smoothly.


Before I was an Administrator, I worked as a Mental Health Care Assistant for over 10 years, gaining various NVQs and qualifications in the process. I particularly enjoy the HR side of my role, as I feel that all of our staff are very important and need to be looked after well. When I am not working, I spend time with my husband, Peter, and our young son. I am here to help you in any way that I can, so please don’t be afraid to ask.


Roxanne

Roxanne McIntyre

Job Title: Wellbeing Lead

Hello, my name is Roxanne and I am the Wellbeing Lead here at Lincombe Manor Care Centre. I have been here for 10 years and have worked in care for just over that. When I first started here I was a Care Assistant and have worked my way to activities coordinator and then to Lead Wellbeing coordinator. I really enjoy my job where I get to plan alongside residents the activities they would like to see and do.


I also enjoy that I get to spend quality time with the residents in either one-to-one visits or group sessions. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, walk my dogs and go swimming.

My name is Violeta and I have worked here at Lincombe Manor as part of the Housekeeping team for 5 years now. I was promoted to Head of Housekeeping in 2021. I work in a wonderful place with wonderful people and I enjoy every day.

Denise Barry

Job Title: Assistant Practitioner

My name is Denise Barry and I've worked here in Lincombe Manor for 7 years I joined as a Senior Care assistant then trained to be a care practitioner. In April 2022 I completed my Level 5 Diploma and became an Assistant Practitioner where I not only get to support the residents health and social needs but work closely with our Nurses to provide high standards of nursing care to all who live at Lincombe. I've been working in the care sector for over 25 years, I've worked in residential and nursing homes, working with dementia residents and adults with learning disabilities. In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with my friends and family.

Joanna Trevivian

My name is Joanna and I am a Senior Care Assistant at Lincombe Manor Care Centre. My husband and I moved to Devon 6 years ago and I was previously working in the motor trade. After looking after my mum prior to moving into a care home herself, I decided to change career and look after other people in their day to day living. I have been here since April 2019 and enjoy all aspects of my job.

Naomi Hayes

Job Title: Senior Healthcare Assistant

Hello, my name is Naomi and I have been working at Lincombe Manor Care Centre since 2022. I completed my level 3 in Health and Social Care at college and applied for a job here. I was first offered a position on the Wellbeing Team which I really enjoyed but when an opening became available for a Healthcare Assistant, I had to apply as that was my passion. I got the role and was a Healthcare Assistant for 1 year before being offered a Senior Healthcare Assistant position which I accepted. I really enjoy my job. I love to spend time with the residents and make them look and feel nice by helping with their hair and make-up.


In my spare time, I like to travel and spend time with my partner, family and friends. I enjoy festivals and being outside in the sunshine, summer is my favourite time of the year.
