Mums Birthday last year, the care home made a real fuss of mum. They did her hair, dressed mum lovely and made mum feel so loved. We couldn't be there because of Lockdown so it was so lovely of them.

Have always found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Mum has settled in really well here. She has been very well looked after and has everything she needs. There are always lots of activities for the residents if and when they wish to take part! I don't think they could do much more to make her stay
any more comfortable.

Wow! What a place. Mum's Alzheimer's over the last 12 months has become more advanced and as a family, we made the difficult decision, that to ensure her safety, a care home was the only solution. We, like any family, were obviously anxious and felt guilty that we had to make such a life-changing decision
for Mum, especially with covid about, however, what a difference the first four weeks of her stay has made to Mum - she is a totally different person and we can't wait to be able to visit her in her new home, which is 100% covid secure. All the staff have been out of this world, so caring and thoughtful, it really has comforted us as a family at this difficult time. Would I recommend Brinnington Care Home? Absolutely right I would! Absolutely outstanding.

My wife, who had suffered from dementia since 2016, reached the point in early 2020 when she needed professional care and attention 24 hours a day. My son and I looked around a number of care homes in the Stockport area and we were both very impressed with Brinnington Hall in terms of the quality and
ambience of the building, the range of facilities and activities being offered and most importantly the caring nature that was portrayed by the staff. My wife became a resident there in June 2020. In the 8 months she was there, she received an outstanding level of care and attention from all involved at the home and I have nothing but the utmost admiration for the way that the management and staff delivered an outstanding service.

My mum has been living here since August 2020, Brinnington Hall is excellent. The staff are fantastic with my mum, The staff always ring me up with updates as I’m not allowed in at moment because of Covid. Overall I could not have wished for a better home for my mum to live in, taken a lot of mum's
things in I.E. ornaments, pictures, photos. The staff have made my mum's room really homely. There are always activities going on which I see through the home's Facebook page. This is fantastic for keeping the mind active. The home makes all the meals fresh every day. Overall very very satisfied with the care at this fantastic home. Well done to all involved.

We are very happy with the care that has been given to him since he has been at Brinnington Hall. He moved to the hall during the lockdown, so we were unable to actually visit beforehand. But the staff arranged a video tour and were available to answer any questions. Due to the Covid restrictions, we
have not been able to visit properly, but the staff have been very good at informing us of any changes and doing video calls with him, so the grandkids can see him. With all the uncertainty this year, lockdowns and changing rules, the staff have had a lot to deal with, but have always been very positive and given great care to the residents. Thank you.

After inspecting many other care homes and viewing your home it was far and away the best by a mile in the area. Form the front door you are welcomed. Fabulous staff, professional and caring. We moved my mother into Brinnington Hall after several falls and her dementia got too bad for her to be living alone. She liked the place on first sight, she loved the staff and the food, her only complaint was that she "kept being told what to do". This was whenever the carers found her wandering the
corridors at 4 am looking for breakfast.
As a visitor, I found the place always welcoming, clean, well run and the staff were lovely, helpful and above all cheerful. My mother was safe and in good hands, she loved the sing songs and animal visitors.
After her Death, the staff couldn't have been more considerate and kind, which made a difficult time much easier.
I passed the home the other day and regretted wistfully that I had no reason to visit anymore. Thank you all.

My Mum has been living here since last December and I cannot fault the home or the staff. I was reluctant to move her into a home but it was the best thing I could have done. She is safe and happy and the staff are wonderful. At home, she just sat doing nothing all day unless the friends called round.
Here she has lots of company - residents/staff/visitors and great activities every day including really good entertainment. I know she is well cared for and you only have to look at her to see that she is happy.

I was very concerned when my Mother had to go into a care home as she was incredibly independent. She has now been a resident for 5 months and settled in extremely well thanks to the wonderful staff and management. She is now taking part in some of the activities within the home and we honestly never

My mum has been a resident of Brinnington Hall for just over a year now and I am more than happy with the care and support she receives.


The staff are patient, hardworking and kind and all residents are treated with respect and understanding. Great food too!


There are more varied activities now

that an activities coordinator has been appointed. The home is always welcoming and has just been refurbished with lovely new furniture. I would recommend Brinnington Hall to any future resident.

I would just like to congratulate you on one of the very best care homes I have ever had the pleasure to visit.
This place is like a top class hotel, if possible 8 star, not 5.
Clean and spotless, smells lovely most of the time and when you can smell something, it's a one-off, cleaners cleaning out
room rubbish etc., which is normal but so pleasant to come to. I tell my friend, I would definitely live here.
The staff are mostly very kind and helpful and can't do enough for you.

I think when your Mum needs care you are unable to provide, it is a really difficult decision to decide 'What to do next'. I can only say that with the care Brinnington Hall provides we have 'hit gold'. My Mum has high levels of dependency and care. She is always treated with the utmost respect and
the care is excellent. The management is of high quality and the leadership team provide a high level of expectation of the staff.

When my auntie moved in last year, we used to find that her clothes had gone missing and that she would be wearing other people's clothes. This was very upsetting and not a good start.


Her health has deteriorated and she has been in hospital a few times.
The first week she fell in the garden early

in the morning while staff were outside having a smoke. There have been times when she has gone into hospital without a member of staff. It's very important that she has someone with her who knows her as she has dementia.


There have also been times when these hospital visits have not been necessary and she ends up in hospital for days, all because she needs to be assessed at the home and they take days to go out and assess her in hospital.


This is very upsetting and distressing for her and her family.

We encourage all visitors and residents to voice any concerns to the management team so that we are able to deal with these concerns efficiently once we are made aware of them.


Although we always strive to provide an escort for hospital visits, unfortunately, there are times when this is not possible for the sake of maintaining the safety of our residents in the home and where we believe that the safety of our residents would be compromised by sending a member of staff, we would not be in a position to offer this. We are aware that when a resident is required to go into hospital, that their care is passed over to medically trained health professionals who are qualified and trained to deal with dementia. They are given full information about the resident to aid them in caring for them as we would.


With regards to unnecessary hospital admissions, where we believe there to be an acute medical concern, we would always seek the relevant medical advice, which can sometimes lead to a decision made by the paramedic or doctor for hospital admission which is out of our control. As we are not a nursing home, we are not qualified to decide who qualifies for admission and who doesn’t and therefore we will continue to seek and follow the advice given to us.


In relation to carrying out assessments following an admission to hospital, we will always do this at the earliest opportunity when we receive information from the hospital that this is required. We are not able to conduct these assessments over the weekend period as this would compromise the safety of the home and so will always be conducted at the earliest convenience the following Monday.

Tracey joined the Ideal Care Home team in 2016 and worked as a carer for over 5 years at Brinnington Hall before progressing to Front of House Manager.


She has gained her level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care and experience in varied roles within the care sector.


Tracey enjoys working closely with residents and their families, building therapeutic relationships and listening to the wonderful stories they have to share.
