After an accidental fall, Mum was extremely well looked after, also the staff were kind and attentive to me, offering refreshments throughout my time with Mum. Nothing was too much trouble whilst the staff waited for help from paramedics. 5-star service. Well done to all the staff at Fairway.

We've come to the end of a difficult year with Dad, a resident of Fairway View, sadly passing away over the Easter period, while Mum continues her residency at Fairway View. I cannot give enough thanks to the whole team for their kindness and unwavering support, not just since Easter, but always. Mum,
bless her, has her good and not-so-good days, but no matter what she is always cared for in the most kind and caring manner. Looking forward to Christmas, I'm sure it will be another cracker by the whole team.

Mum has excellent care catered to her specific needs.
All staff respond quickly to any queries, not that there are ever many, as they are usually proactive in providing updates.
Overall, very happy with Mum's care.

I always enjoy visiting my friend. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The home is always welcoming in decor and ambiance. My friend seems well looked after, and generally very happy. Would certainly recommend Fairway View and hope that all the staff feel proud of their contribution to
making residents' friends and family feel so reassured.

Ample parking space and disabled blue badge holders space. Situation of Fairway View is lovely next to a park and reception area is welcoming. Fire procedure signing in/out is required and necessary for health and safety legislation. All staff are kind, friendly and helpful. My dog was allowed in to
visit my auntie and she loved that. Hot drinks and biscuits were given to us visiting. The building is spotlessly clean. I used her w/c and reported to her how clean it was. She was delighted to know this. She spoke highly of the entertainment provided to the residents.

My mother has just passed away after spending four years in Fairway, living with increasingly severe dementia, later being confined to bed and needing her end of life care administered there. I thought it stood out from the crowd as outstanding in 2019, when my mum moved in, and everything I’ve seen
and experienced in the interim has borne this out. The overriding element is the quality and professionalism of the staff, the people who actually administer the ‘care’ part of ‘residential care home’. They are outstanding. They perform their duties diligently, responsibly and with real affection, as I’ve seen, to all residents, not just to my mum. They do this in, sometimes, the most difficult circumstances and in the face of the most challenging behaviour. I’ve not observed a single incident during the four years where I’ve had cause to question any of the actions I’ve seen. I unreservedly recommend Fairway View to anyone seeking a home for their loved one.

All of the staff are helpful and kind, and all seem to be happy in their work. The rooms are bright and a good size, and Mum's has a lovely view of the park. She is well looked after, and there is always an interesting activity on offer if she wishes to join in. She loves the food and regularly has
her hair cut and coloured and her nails done - for free. I know that the staff are busy, but I am confident that she is happy and well looked after.
Compared to other homes I have visited, Fairway View is calm, quiet and clean. I would have no reservations in recommending it.

Having had to move my father from another ideal care home, I wasn't sure about moving him to another. My fears were totally unfounded. My father has settled in extremely well and that has been down to the care and understanding he has received from the staff at Fairway View. From the management, the
front of house team to the team of carers everyone has been extremely kind, welcoming and understanding.
He really enjoys many of the activities that are put on at the home and certainly enjoys the food!
Because he is living with dementia he has behaviours that are challenging in the running of the home but the staff have demonstrated real empathy and understanding of his behaviours and have managed them really well.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Fairway View to anyone looking for a care home for a loved one.

Mum has been at Fairway View for 12 months now and is really happy.
She has a decent sized room with en-suite, large window with view of Bulwell Forest, and an easy chair from which she can watch her own TV. She often remarks that the home is cheerfully decorated and nice and clean with no odour.
Mum
spends most of her time in the large open-plan lounge and dining area sitting with other residents. This is a great improvement on living on her own at home, she is now surrounded with kind, caring, and friendly staff.
Varied activities are on offer on a daily basis for anyone who wishes to join in. Visiting entertainers are a regular occurrence too.
Meals seem to be varied and there is a choice of menus. Tea and biscuits are also provided during the day.
We find that the staff are welcoming, friendly, conscientious, and attentive and keep us informed.
We have already recommended Fairway View to many of our family and friends.

My mother has lived at Fairway View Care Home for twelve months and it has been a great relief to me that she is cared for to a high standard in a safe environment. Her needs are appropriately dealt with - she is clean, warm, well fed and comfortable with the availability of voluntary activities. Attendance
by outside healthcare practitioners is appropriate and all her requirements are catered for.

I chose this home for 2 weeks respite care for my mother, as it has outstanding from CQC inspectors. On arrival told needed to pay for 4 weeks and on discharge, she would get the remainder back, which we agreed to. In 3 days she went for between 17 and 19 hours without being offered a hot drink, this
was each day. After the first day, I mentioned it to the manager, and she assured me she would make sure she was given hot drinks. It didn't happen. My mum was not incontinent, but she was immobile due to a fractured hip so needed a piece of moving equipment called a rotunda plus staff to assist her to the toilet. She rang her buzzer and no one came, she, therefore, wet herself for the first time and sat in it until gone 11 am. No one had been to check on her since tablets were given at 6.45 am, again without a hot drink. After 3 days and no improvement in her care, we removed Mum from the home. They did not even provide basic care. Dreadful place. I then had to fight to get 2-week money back. Dreadful place.

Mum has been at Fairway View for about 12 months with mobility and memory problems. Staff at all levels have been consistently kind, compassionate and professional. They will accompany mum to appointments if necessary and have proactively arranged healthcare when they have noticed potential problems.
Senior staff keep us informed when there have been any concerns about mum. As a family, we have complete confidence that any issues raised will be dealt with appropriately and professionally. Staff go out of their way to make the home environment as welcoming and comfortable as possible – whether that’s by making tea for visitors or having a joke with mum despite being so busy. Mum’s ensuite room is bright, clean and comfortable and the home is always clean when we visit. Mum regularly tells us that she enjoys the food and there is a good choice at each meal. There are regular activities on offer for residents if they want to join in. We happily recommend Fairway View care home to other families.

I went to visit a friend and a resident at Fairway View for the first time since her admission. I was impressed by the spaciousness of the communal area and the high standard of decor. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed and there was plenty of staff around. As each staff member appeared they said "Hello"
to my friend and showed concern for her welfare and we were offered a drink. The staff were warm and friendly. My lasting impression is one of calmness and warmth.

My mum joined Fairway View in March 2021, after a very long search and months in hospital following a broken back, as a result of neglect from her previous care home. The care that she has been provided with, by all staff at Fairway view, has been outstanding and exceptional. Not only has she been looked
after so well to cater for her current needs, but she seems to have flourished and improved so much that her mobility is better and her outlook on life is brighter. She seems to get better every time we see her. She is always smiling and all the other residents are happy and talkative, I have no hesitation in recommending Fairway View for anyone's relative. They truly provide the most amazing service and finally, after years of worry, we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that mum is well taken care of. We can call in at any time of the day or night arranged or unexpected and see that she is always settled and happy. Thank you so much to all staff at Fairway View.

Alison has a customer service background and joined Fairway View as Front of House Manager in 2016. She has personal experience of a relative living in a care home and feels that she can use this to help others in a similar situation.


She is dedicated and enthusiastic about her role, and about the home, and enjoys building strong relationships with the residents and their visitors. Alison works closely with the Home Manager and Regional Activities Executive to ensure there is always something fun going on at Fairway View, why not pop in to meet everyone and join in with one of the exciting activities?
