Excellent care for my Grandma. Even provided food and drink when we returned to scatter her ashes in the garden.

All the care staff have been amazing; they care for the residents and always go that extra mile. The sing-along nights made the residents come alive. Excellent activities, extra activities at Christmas, Easter, Valentines etc. I would recommend Fairway View because the staff care.

The staff cared very well for my grandmother and it was very heart warming knowing that she is being well cared for. The staff were excellent during the time my Nannie stayed at Fairway View. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone as it is exceptional.

My sister and I are really happy with the care home and all the staff. We know our dad is looked after well and treated with respect and dignity. Everyone is kind, helpful and caring. There is good communication and kept up to date. Our dad is seen by various outside agencies e.g. doctor, chiropodist,
dementia specialists and optician etc. He settled in with lots of support from everyone. He loves his room and enjoys all the meals which look delicious.

Most entertainment still upstairs, unfair on resident who likes it, she taps her feet. Staff are fantastic, cannot fault any of them. Mum has really settled well. She is really happy. My only fault is the garden area, looks very unkempt, overgrown trees. no view, need to approach the council.

Though my mother was only in for a few weeks the staff were excellent with her and very caring and when she passed away the staff were very supportive to me and couldn't have been more helpful.

The transfer from another place went well as could humanly possible. My aunts deterioration seems to have progressed but this is in no way connected with the transfer. The family are most happy with the excellent care and love which are showered on our aunt and most grateful to the staff (first at the
other place and even more so at Fairway View) God bless you all.

On the whole, care is satisfactory, however there never seems to be enough staff on duty. My mother always requires the WC when I arrive and has waited long periods before staff are available to assist her. She requires a nebuliser regularly and I always have to ask for this to be administered.
Manager
is inconsistent and never gets back when issues are raised. Laundry services are at times shocking, clothes return shrunk, discoloured or never return. There could be more activities to stimulate residents. The flood and kitchen staff are exceptional. The staff are a credit to the home. There seems to be a very high turnover of staff. The senior staff are great.

Everything is okay, except for one thing. My husband is a very stubborn man and refuses to let the carers. I wish there was some way to get through to him as I think he doesn't manage on his own and some help would be great.

Staff are caring and do their best, although they seem to be under pressure at times. Mornings are always a busy at times. Breakfast for some is late if they need assistant to get up and get ready.

“I really enjoy showing visitors round our beautiful home, and our residents love to meet new people.”


Alison has a customer service background and joined Fairway View as Front of House Manager in 2016. She has personal experience of a relative living in a care home and feels that she can use this to help others in a similar situation.


She is dedicated and enthusiastic about her role, and about the home, and enjoys building strong relationships with the residents and their visitors. Alison works closely with the Home Manager and Regional Activities Executive to ensure there is always something fun going on at Fairway View, why not pop in to meet everyone and join in with one of the exciting activities?
