Alexandra View is a 62 bedded home organised over three floors. This purpose-built home accommodates service users with general residential and nursing and Dementia residential and nursing needs on a permanent, short stay or respite basis.

My mother was recently in Alexandra View for a two week period - the worst two weeks of her life. The lack of staff and attitude of those that were present was disgraceful. Phones not being answered when you call to ask how she was doing, or if they were, promises made for callbacks not kept. Mother
unable to have a visitor - despite Covid restrictions being lifted. Staff not meeting her needs - still waiting for coffee/teas that were requested. Request made for podiatry service not met. Food disgusting, clothing not washed. Also saw a visitor being asked to take a lateral flow test in the lobby where others were waiting - but there were inadequate facilities to do so.

My husband has been under the care of Alexandra View Care Centre since July 2014. Although through this time there have been many managers the staff have always maintained the highest standards of care, they treat all residents as if they were members of their own family. They extend their care also
to myself.

My overall experience at Alexandra View Care Centre was a very pleasant one. I was treated with dignity and respect at all times. All staff were always available to help with any support I needed. Food was beautiful and the rooms and building was always immaculate. Can't thank everyone enough for making

Dad went into this home via a crisis team, I was a bit apprehensive at first, they accepted him very well. Even with his confusion he was cared for from day 1, got his medication sorted out and he became a different person even though he had the illness he had. I truly believe that Dad only lived as
long as he did due to the unwavering care and commitment of all the staff, past and present. Can't praise them highly enough, Dad lived 5 and a half years due to their care.
