Situated in the heart of Guisborough, Park House is a luxurious, purpose-built care home offering residential and residential dementia care to older people.

The home prides itself on its prime location in the market town and was lovingly named by the pupils of St Paulinus RC School in 2011.

With its extensively trained and kind care team, Park House offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door.

Across the three communities, Park House offers hotel-style décor and furnishings, from the modern reception area to the popular lounges and dining areas.

There are a range of seating areas to choose from at Park House, from quiet corners overlooking the beautiful Guisborough Forest, to spots where Residents can enjoy a board game together, or perhaps a glass of their favourite tipple by the cosy fireplace. The dining rooms are a popular place for Residents to socialise and sample the homemade dishes on the menu.

Residents’ bedrooms are spacious, light, airy and tastefully decorated, with many overlooking the local countryside and Guisborough Forest. All rooms have ensuite wet rooms, and those in the Garden Suite also have direct access to a private patio, where many Residents enjoy sitting in the sunshine, planting flowers, and feeding the birds. Residents are invited to decorate their rooms with treasured belongings and items of furniture, to help Park House feel like a home from home.

Park House provides a varied activities programme, including arts and crafts, baking, local excursions, and entertainment. Residents also enjoy visiting the on-site hairdressing salon, nail bar and cinema room, as well as relaxing in the peaceful communal garden. Themed activity stations are also available and are carefully designed for those living with dementia.

On visiting my friend for the first time, I was made very welcome and was struck by the happy atmosphere of the staff. The building is very fresh and nicely designed. My friend took great pleasure in showing me around and seemed very happy to take pride in the place. I am very pleased for her!

My mum has been in this home for 3 years. She is very settled and is loved by all the staff who always pay her special attention. When mum went to Park House, she was in the last stages of dementia. Since being in there she seems happier and has improved in her wellbeing. She is always happy.

I visit Park House on a regular basis and always receive a warm welcome. The care that the staff provide to their residents never ceases to amaze me. The activities and entertainment for the residents are excellent and varied keeping the residents happy and stimulated.

Such a warm welcome from entering the building to stepping back outside. Everyone is so pleasant and you basically feel right at home. It is so nice I would live there myself. Well done to all for creating such a lovely atmosphere and keeping it very clean and tidy at all times.

I am very happy at Park House. These girls work hard and it is long hours for them. I am kept nice and clean and well fed and that is important when you are old. The entertainment is good and the home is nice and clean.

My mother-in-law has settled in lovely.

This is a fantastic home very much like a home from home for my grandma. She is surrounded by her own belongings which she is used to, the home is very clean and residents are well looked after. The staff are all lovely and caring, very tuned into individual needs and understanding of various conditions
and most importantly patient. We as a family wouldn't want gran anywhere else.

I come and visit my gran 3-4 times a week I am always made to feel when there are activities on e.g puppet shows, choirs singing etc. The staff always try and get all the residents involved. I love to see the smile on my grans face at these events. Your staff are the most loving and caring people I

I have been to visits my grandmother-in-law on several occasions. Park House is a beautiful home, all the staff are amazing and could not be more helpful if they tried. Such a warm friendly and welcoming home. My relative is so happy and settled and knows this was the right move for her. All the staff
get to know the residents and help out regardless of roles.

My Mam came to Park House for respite. From the moment she came through the door she has been treated excellently. We have been kept informed about all aspects of her care. Every member of staff meets and greets you with a smile and a few words. There are different activities each day which residents
and families, if visiting, can join in. You are welcome any time, day or night. You are invited to stay for meals with your family member if you wish to. Excellent service.
