Anchor’s Canterbury House provides residential care which is personally tailored to meet the individual needs of customers and enhance their quality of life. Anchor works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met.

Anchor prides itself on dementia care and provides on-going training to care staff to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

I have been a resident in Canterbury House for six happy years.
The beautiful swimming pool is especially important and good for me as I have had major back surgery recently and swimming is the best exercise.
A beautiful home in lovely surroundings.

My parents came to Canterbury House 3 years ago and at first were really happy. Things went downhill when they were first taken over. Lots of staff left. Since the new owner has taken over it is back to being a wonderful home. You have amazing staff from the top to the bottom. Please look after them.
My parents were really happy, well looked after and I knew they had the best care, as did I.

I was impressed as soon as I arrived in the car park.


As I entered Canterbury House I was greeted by happy, welcoming staff who offered to show me to where my friend was sitting.


As I walked through the home I could hear staff and residents talking and laughing. The home had a great atmosphere

and is very much a home from home.


I decided to stay for lunch and was offered a choice from the menu. The food was amazing, in fact, I would go as far as saying it’s outstanding.


All the staff are brilliant and would go above and beyond to help me and my friend.


Canterbury House is a beautiful care home and I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else.
