Lavender Hills is surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views in a luxury setting with each bedroom having a shower ensuite, providing the highest in residential care. The home is situated a short five minute journey from the M66 motorway junction providing ideal access to Bury, Bolton, Manchester, Blackburn and the Lancashire and Greater Manchester areas.

The home is set within 12.5 acres of landscaped and mature gardens which is home to a 50ft waterfall and a sweeping driveway. Beautiful views are presented of the Rossendale Valley where the Victorian architectural building sits. The home provides luxury hotel accommodation standards with high levels of care with specialist equipment for high dependency requirements;

Mum arrived at Lavender Hills in August 2021 having had a serious stroke which made it impossible to have any movement on her left side. She was extremely well cared for from the beginning with many of the staff going out of their way to meet her fairly complex needs. We could not have asked for better
care, especially during her final days.

Unfortunately, after being at Lavender Hills since June 2022 my mother passed away on the 15th of January. We, as a family, would highly recommend anyone who is in the unfortunate situation of having to find a stable, caring home for their loved ones to look at Lavender Hills. Every single member of
staff from the manager down to the cleaners are exceptionally caring and compassionate. Nothing has been too much trouble and mum couldn't have been looked after better in her final hours. Thank you team Lavender Hills, from the bottom of my heart.

I would just like to express how much we enjoyed the Mother’s Day afternoon tea the staff prepared for residents and family. It was a lovely experience to share with mum sat all together at beautifully laid tables and be served an excellent afternoon tea which would have done any restaurant proud! The
staff went above and beyond to serve everyone and make it a very special occasion-well done Lavender Hills!

Our Mother has now been at Lavender Hills for over two years and we have seen continuing changes and improvements to the facilities within the building itself and its handling of Lockdown during Covid. She has been looked after very well throughout and our few concerns dealt with promptly.
She now
feels it is her home and is happy there, especially when there are visiting singers and other entertainers, enjoying every minute. The staff all know her, enjoy her smile, and are willing to help her in whatever way they can.
She has recently been taken swimming and enjoyed that immensely, as the video/photo's showed, although we were more than a bit apprehensive before she went! The Activities Team do their best to involve the residents in activities that they will enjoy and tailor these to accommodate each resident dependant upon their various interests and how they interact.
The kitchen provides an excellent choice of menu, but will also make alternatives if required.

As many families do, we tried to keep dad in his own home for as long as possible, with the support of Agency Staff, following his dementia diagnosis. Eventually, however, we had to accept that residential care was his next step.


I did months of research, speaking to several Homes in the Bury area

(where dad lived) as well as Hampshire, (where I live). - Lavender Hills kept coming out on top.


Dad moved into Lavender Hills in March 2022 and I can honestly say we’ve been blown away by how caring and friendly all of the staff have been towards Dad, his family and his friends. His room is spacious and bright with a fantastic view, but above all, clean. The food is healthy, varied and extremely appetising. Dad is kept busy and engaged. He absolutely loves his regular outings to the park, and swimming pool, as well as the pub lunches and evening entertainment.


Dad is now safe and cared for, but above all, he is still living a good life.


I cannot recommend Lavender Hills highly enough.

My mum has called Lavender Hills home for just over a year. We made the very difficult decision to try their respite offer as she was distressed and agitated in her own home. It has been a year of working together and we have had some challenges along the way.
But I can honestly say the transformation
has been astonishing.
She is happy and content. The staff have been outstanding and the care and attention they provide is just brilliant!
We attended the home’s Mother’s Day afternoon tea at the weekend. I can honestly say we were so full of admiration for everyone involved. We had the perfect afternoon with our mum. A very special carer spent extra time and effort getting mum ready, she looked beautiful.
Lavender Hills is mums home now and that’s exactly how it feels.

I can honestly say this place is amazing.. never did I think I’d find a care home for my dad that’s like home from home… they do lots of activities on a daily basis… the staff are immense, very approachable and the carers go above and beyond their duties. Highly recommend it and I never have to worry
about my dad especially at night time, I know he’s safe and cared for. On the plus side, the food is on another level, their own chef. Dad has gained weight with all the delicious meals.

My husband has been in Lavender Hills for two years now. He has a strange dementia which needs to be controlled with strong drugs. He does not forget the past, he forgets very recent events and gets very confused about time and days of the week. All the staff are very good with him, and very patient.
He is 64 on the 16th of June and we have a daughter who is getting married next February. The manager took him for a ride today to see the hotel our daughter is getting married in. She is also bringing him to the wedding, and she took him out in her car when lockdown lifted because he just wanted to see what had changed in the local area.

Mum has been a resident of Lavender Hills for a few years now. I have always felt that the staff know Mum well and that she is part of a 'family' atmosphere. She has received excellent care, especially recently when the home was closed to visitors at the height of the pandemic. Coming back in to see
Mum after restrictions have been lifted slightly, I have been made to feel very welcome but also know that strict procedures are in place to keep everyone (residents, staff and visitors) safe. My mum is treated with dignity and respect and I would recommend Lavender Hills as an excellent home.

After eventually testing negative to Covid19, Mum was discharged from hospital to Lavender Hills in Ramsbottom. From the word "go", Mum has been well looked after by the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. I have been informed of everything that involves Mum - from the first Covid injection, an eyesight
test in the home, to having her hair done. The surrounding views from the home are lovely. Even the drive up to the home from the road has attractions - the bird table for one has many different kinds of birds to-ing and fro-ing from it. Finally, the safe visiting in the specially made lodge there was an absolute gem of an idea! After not seeing Mum for many weeks, being able to see her and talk to her in comfort, without having to wear a mask or shout was absolutely wonderful. Well done Lavender Hills!

All staff know Dad when I call and can update me. They are kind and caring to him. They treat him with dignity and respect. He has a good routine to his day. Despite the lockdown I can see and speak with him regularly. Dad says the food is 'champion' which is a good sign and reassures me. The staff

The facilities at Lavender Hills are excellent. The activities organisers are extremely conscientious and try to be very inclusive with all the residents. The staff are very caring and mindful of each resident's individual needs. Any time an issue was raised, it was dealt with quickly and effectively.
The food has improved tremendously over recent months. The rooms are of a good standard and cleanliness is very satisfactory.

My friend arrived at Lavender Hills in December and was welcomed into the family. He settled very quickly with the help and support of all the caring team. There have been so many fantastic activities for him to be involved with which have been stimulating and engaging. I know he is enjoying himself
because his big smile is back on his face. He has had the opportunity to admire the spectacular views from his own private room and whilst out on a short walk with the carers. It has been great that I have been able to visit him in the Evelina Park Lodge during lockdown knowing everybody was safe. It is with great appreciation that events are posted on Facebook which enables me to feel close to my friend and have an insight into his daily living. I know my friend is happy, safe and cared for at Lavender Hills. Thank you all so very much!

Kala

Kala Morton

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2015

Kala loves travelling to different places and wants to see as many places as she can, her favourite place to date is Marrakesh.


She has done some daring activities including snorkelling with Whale sharks in Mexico and riding a camel in the Sahara Desert.


Big on buckets lists the three main things Kala has always wanted to do is a skydive even though she is terrified of heights, go cage diving with great white sharks and learn how to play poker.


In her spare time, Kala loves Yoga and watching films, and reading Joe Navarro books.


A big food lover despite not being the best cook but luckily her husband is a very good cook.
