Lavender Hills is surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views in a luxury setting with each bedroom having a shower ensuite, providing the highest in residential care. The home is situated a short five minute journey from the M66 motorway junction providing ideal access to Bury, Bolton, Manchester, Blackburn and the Lancashire and Greater Manchester areas.

The home is set within 12.5 acres of landscaped and mature gardens which is home to a 50ft waterfall and a sweeping driveway. Beautiful views are presented of the Rossendale Valley where the Victorian architectural building sits. The home provides luxury hotel accommodation standards with high levels of care with specialist equipment for high dependency requirements;

This is a care home that cares very much. We visited our relative who recently died three times a week so got to know the staff very well. Their aim is to make residents happy and secure and most of them go the extra mile. The management is superb and they set a great example. Also a very happy environment.
I would not hesitate to recommend.

My 96-year-old father was very apprehensive about moving from semi-independent living in his own house to the unfamiliar surroundings of a care home. Fortunately, Lavender Hills has dispelled his fears, providing a warm, friendly and caring environment in beautiful surroundings close to his old address.
We, his family have the advantage of knowing that he is experiencing a safe, clean and comfortable life in the care of a wonderful complement of staff.

Lavender Hills was exactly what we were looking for as a 2-week respite home for my mum whilst we were on holiday. My mum has early Alzheimer's so, although she needed someone to keep a friendly eye on her, we also wanted somewhere she'd enjoy with people similar to herself that she could socialise
with.


After viewing a couple of totally inappropriate places we tried Lavender Hills and it was lovely! A gorgeous looking huge house in its own grounds that was as close to a home as we could find. Mum was given a choice of rooms, each one was unique, and all the staff were so friendly and chatty. There was a hairdresser, entertainment and a choice of lounges to sit in. The food was lovely, the place was lovely and the staff were lovely and overall we were exceedingly happy with the whole experience and wouldn't hesitate to use Lavender Hills again.

The first time I visited this place I was very impressed by the love and warmth of the staff. Also, it was exceptionally clean and did not smell of urine at all. The second visit we were invited to have lunch with them and the residents. I still had not changed my mind from the first visit. It was that
I could quite easily have a week there myself. It was like being in a hotel. On going back for my Husband to stay for a week I could go away in total peace and enjoy my break. He has dementia yet is still talking about his holiday and want to go back.

From the moment I stepped into Lavender Hills Care Home, I was made most welcome. The staff were wonderful, helpful and caring. The meals were very good. I am hoping to go back there when my wife has respite. The bedroom was very clean and I had my own shower and toilet.

This home is nicely decorated and feels like home. It is run very well and we are impressed that there is never the stale smell associated within most other homes. The food is good with no complaints and a few extra pounds gained. We are kept informed of all changes and the team take the initiative
to call doctors as needed The team deal with challenging situations as they arrive. We are happy with the care and would recommend Lavender Hills. The manager is superb.

My mum is very settled at the home. All her needs are met by staff with a caring approach. Her room is always clean and tidy and staff are available to ask questions about my mum. I am contacted by the home if they need me or my sister for anything. I am very satisfied with mums care in the home. It
would be useful to have some visitor chairs to use when visiting mum in the home.

My mother entered Lavender Hills from hospital as she had fallen and was unable to walk, dress herself etc. After a while and a couple of months her mobility came back but was very limited. For the first few months she complained she wanted to go home, but eventually, she accepted that she was in the
best place for her at the time.


I took her out once a week and my brother and I shared visits approximately 6 out of 7 days a week. She moved rooms and watched all that was going on, they gave her independence whilst keeping an eye on her. They nursed her exceptionally well at the end, keeping us involved at all times. She was there for 2 years 1 month.

My wife was admitted at the beginning of November 2016 and died there in March 2017. I cannot speak too highly of the care and attention that she received. All staff were forever kind, cheerful and ready to do what was necessary and then more.I visited every afternoon for four months and got to know
all staff and some of the residents really well. There is a wonderful family atmosphere. I am full of admiration for all the staff. I did not realise that there were so many good people in our usually cynical world.

We started volunteering at the beginning of summer and have loved every second of visiting the care home and making new friends which my daughters have called their grandmummies and grandaddies. The staff have been incredibly welcoming, helpful and patient. The home is lovely and our grand friends seem
very happy and content. We love our visits and hope they continue for a very long time to come and we thank everyone for being so kind and looking after us.

My Mother died in June suffering from multiple issues, especially mixed dementia following a stroke in October 2015. Really she needed full-time care, my sister and I looked at a number of care homes in and around Bury. Lavender hills was our immediate choice and they proved outstanding.
Mum had a
lovely room overlooking the hills and immediately felt at home. After a period of loneliness and depression, she responded positively to the care and stimulus Lavender provided. The staff are exceptionally good and we could not have hoped for better. Mum praised the food and care. She found friends and support. Senior figures attended her funeral. I cannot praise Lavender Hills highly enough. It seems to me, a model of what care homes should provide.

Very good care home with a friendly atmosphere. I do feel that more of the Monday to Friday staff could work at weekends on a rota basis. I cannot believe that working one weekend if every four would impact on peoples lives too much. Having said that, there was absolutely no issue or problem with the
staff who were on duty apart from the odd agency worker.

Mum was a resident at Lavender Hills from March 2013 until she peacefully passed away surrounded by her close family in March 2016 aged 98 years.
Throughout the 3 years Mum lived there everyone involved with her care were sensitive to her needs and treated her at all times with dignity and respect.
Mum was an alert, strong willed and independent lady who demanded exacting standards. A tall order to provide in everyday life. However, the whole team handled all arising situations sympathetically and where necessary with the appropriate level of humour.
Overall the care and support given to Mum, particularly during her last few weeks, was exemplary.
Lavender Hills should be very proud of their dedicated team of caring professionals.
At all times everyone at Lavender Hills have provided over and above what the family expected for which we thank you all.

My mother-in-law has been a resident in Lavender Hills for over one year. The quality of care is superb. The staff are caring, considerate and professional in their work. Nothing is too much trouble, always looking to maintain and develop the environment for all. Friendly, welcoming to relatives consistently.
Recently moved my one mum into Lavender Hills knowing that her needs will be net and this fills us with confidence.

I have no complaints on care. My one complaint on one occasion was cleanliness of room. This was dealt with immediately and has not occurred since. Staff are friendly, the home bright and cheerful, staff and management very supportive.

Job Title: Home Manager

Kala loves travelling to different places and wants to see as many places as she can, her favourite place to date is Marrakesh.


She has done some daring activities including snorkelling with Whale sharks in Mexico and riding a camel in the Sahara Desert.


Big on buckets lists the three main things Kala has always wanted to do is a skydive even though she is terrified of heights, go cage diving with great white sharks and learn how to play poker.


In her spare time, Kala loves Yoga and watching films, and reading Joe Navarro books.


A big food lover despite not being the best cook but luckily her husband is a very good cook.
