Harden Hall is a contemporary residential and dementia care home located in the heart of the community. Each of the 54 single bedrooms has an en-suite wet room.

The home is operated by Anchor and provides residential care, which is personally tailored to meet the individual needs of customers and enhance their quality of life.

The care team works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met. Anchor are specialists in dementia care and provide on-going training to care staff to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

I'm very happy with the care my father receives at Harden Hall. All the staff are caring and friendly and any concerns are always dealt with promptly. I find the team leader very approachable and they always listen to any concerns. The home is always clean and the food great.

We were very pleased with the care my mother received during her time as a resident. They encouraged her to sit with the other residents and certainly got her to eat when we couldn’t. They provided an excellent standard of care to my mother and we were thankful for that even in her last days, the respect
they showed her went above and beyond. We couldn’t fault the care they provided to my mother. They also kept us up to date with regard to my mother's health and treated her and ourselves with compassion when she passed. The room was always spotless and they made sure she was clean.

Harden Hall is an exceptional care home. My mother was a resident here for over 2 years and I have nothing but praise for the way that she was cared for. Mum had dementia and the staff understood her and her changing needs. The team are kind, compassionate and treated Mum with respect and dignity at
all times. They got to know me and my family and looked after us and our needs too. It really did feel like an extended family. The care home is spotless and standards throughout are very high. The food is excellent and Mum enjoyed tucking in at mealtimes. The end of life care that Mum received was outstanding and could not have been more compassionate and dignified. We will never be able to thank the team enough and will be eternally grateful that we found Harden Hall.

Harden Hall has looked after my mother in law for four years and father in law for two years in all this time I have been completely satisfied with the care they have received. The staff are very caring and supportive and have the interests of the residents at heart. The home is very welcoming, clean
and the food is of a very high standard. Family and residents' wishes are given high priority, especially taking into consideration the complex needs of the residents.

I cannot praise the team of staff for the care and support they gave my mum, and myself, during her life at the home. The care we received during the last weeks of her life were exemplary. I thank the day that she was accepted for a room in this home.

My stepfather has been a resident in Harden Hall for over three and a half years. I am so grateful for the loving care and attention he receives from the whole team. Although I haven’t been able to visit him as often as I would have liked recently, due to Covid restrictions, it is reassuring to know
that I can call the home and they are always happy to give me an update about my stepdad’s current health and well-being or if necessary they will contact me if there are any issues. I am also updated on a regular basis of any changes that I need to be made aware of regarding the home. A very pleasant, clean environment with a caring staff who are a pleasure to speak to. Thank you for all your hard work.

My mother was a resident in Harden Hall care home for over two years. She was always well cared for by a team of devoted staff. Whenever I visited her, I always found the home to be very clean, and the food was very tasty. During the pandemic, it was extremely difficult for both Mom and the family,
with not being able to visit her. However, we kept in touch by phone, and I know she was being well cared for in a safe environment. Mom passed away in September, and I know she was treated with dignity until the end.

They are respectful of all the residents and provide a good standard of personal care. The staff always keep us up to date with any concerns. Overall,

Both my mother and father are residents in Harden Hall, and during their time at the home, the care they have received has been exceptional, especially during the covid19 pandemic. They are very well looked after with credit going to all the staff. The exceptionally hard work of the carers, laundry,
catering, cleaning and admin staff all playing their part. All health issues are dealt with promptly, and we are kept informed on all issues. Their well being is very important to all the staff at the home, and they do a wonderful job in exceptional circumstances.

My mother has lived at Harden Hall since it opened in 2012. She will be 106 in a few weeks. Due to the 'virus' visiting has been difficult. I did manage to see her a few times in the garden, but can't see her at all now. However, I am happy to know she is being cared for very well. The staff have been
fantastic throughout this situation. I am kept informed of how Mum is doing. They are very caring and sympathetic. I have no complaints at all, the staff work hard to keep the home running smooth.

From the very first day Mom arrived, she has received nothing by outstanding care and attention from every member of staff making her feel very safe and loved by all.
The food is varied, and to very high standards from main meals to snacks, everything is cooked from scratch and looks and smell delicious.
The bedrooms are homely; all which en-suite facilities. Mom joins in with the activities, enjoys the entertainment, and is always up for going on trips to various places.
The place has given my mom a new lease of life; making new friends along the way and at almost 99-years of age - that's a really good thing.

My husband had been a resident for 18 months. He has always been cared for in the best way possible. All the staff have always been like friends and have made us very comfortable. Unfortunately, my husband has passed away today, and the staff have been very compassionate. I have always recommended Harden
Hall and will continue to do so. If the need arises, I would definitely reside there myself.

My mother has been at Harden Hall since June 2018 and I am pleased to say I have always been happy with the care she has received but must comment on the excellent care she has received over the last 2 weeks when, unfortunately, she was put on end of life care package.
All the staff that were looking
after Mom in her last days could not have been more caring and loving to her, also I would like to thank them for their understanding to myself and our family in the days before she passed away.
Thank you all very much indeed you all deserve a medal for your care of Mom.

An extremely well run home where residents were treated with kindness and respect.
The building was maintained to a very high standard and the carers carried out their duties quietly and calmly.

Mom moved into Harden Hall in March 2018 and we were hopeful she would settle and enjoy living there. Within 3 days she had an 'unwitnessed fall' and broke her hip. There was also another occasion when she fell out of bed and suffered a head injury, within weeks of the first incident. She was hospitalised
in June due to a clot on her lung and at a subsequent assessment, the care home advised that they were refusing to take her back because they couldn't meet her needs, this despite a meeting just weeks before where plans were agreed to support her return to the care home. The family are devastated.

We were very sad to not be able to accept this lady back into our care, we assessed on two different occasions and were unable to meet her needs in our home following advice from the hospital. The staff cared for her very much and worked hard to regain her health so it was upsetting not to be able to have her move back home with us. I am so sorry for the distress this has caused you and your family.

Since my mom came to Harden Hall she has settled down quite well. She has had a few bad moments when things don't go right. All the staff carers and housekeeping really look after mom. If there is a problem at all the management and senior staff get it sorted. If mum needs a doctor or any change to
her medication the cares get it dealt with. The carers always contact me if there is a problem with mom, they always keep informed. They always make me and family welcome.
