Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home is a purpose built, 56-bedroom home, committed to the highest standards of care and service, within a friendly and happy family run home. The home is rated Outstanding in caring and Good Overall by CQC (April 2022).

The aim is to provide the highest level of care in a dignified and compassionate way, with the best facilities and equipment in a comfortable home with trained experienced staff. There is a full and diverse activities programme for the residents put on throughout the home, providing many opportunities to socialise, participate and pursue their own interests. Outside there are beautiful, landscaped gardens and courtyards planted with year-round colour which are accessed by level, flat paths.

Qualified nurses and trained carers try and improve the quality of life for those who have chosen to live at the home. The approach is not one routine fits all, but rather a more personal care plan that makes allowances for the individuals' needs and concerns. The residents are at the centre of the home helping to create the Chef's menu's and choosing the activities programme. Everyone at Hill House wants the residents to be well cared for, happy and enjoy living at Hill House.

Staff very kind and attentive to my mother. Management very reactive if any concerns raised and changes made quickly.
Very welcoming to relatives also.
A lot of different activities to keep Mum occupied with staff encouraging participation.

I cannot speak highly enough of this nursing home. My mother was a resident for eight years needing much care, having dementia and having had two strokes. The staff treated her with love, kindness and respect. Nothing was too much trouble and I wasn't left out either, getting a hug when they could see
I needed one. From the moment you step foot in the home, there is a pleasant atmosphere and no unpleasant odours. If stars were being handed out, I would give this home one made up of platinum.

My mother-in-law moved to Hill House about a year ago, after a long stay in hospital and the previous care home she was in were not able to provide the care she needed. All the staff at Hill House have shown her great affection and she has received an outstanding level of care, beyond anything she recently
received elsewhere. My husband and I are always very impressed by the feeling of warmth shown by the staff with the residents and the personal attention given to each. The quality of the rooms, the bedrooms and all the lounges is first class. My mother-in-law recently passed peacefully in her sleep with a member of staff by her side. I cannot recommend Hill House highly enough. Thank you all for taking great care of her during her stay with you ensuring her last months were as comfortable as possible in the circumstances.

Every time I go into Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home, I feel very welcome and treated with respect. It's like being part of a large family. My husband feels safe and secure here and enjoys his room. When we bring him home for lunch, he is always ready to go back to his room. That says it all. My

My husband has been at this home for over 16 months, and I am so very grateful to all the staff for the superb level of care and support that he receives. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure that he is happy and that his needs are met. I am very confident that he is in a safe and loving environment.
Staffing levels are very high, and he consistently has the same carers and nursing staff looking after him. This means that any problems are noticed and deal with straight away, and this gives me great peace of mind.

As a family, we highly recommend Hill House for the care they provide to Mum. The staff are so kind and thoughtful with a level of care and attention to detail that is truly amazing. There is always a warm and welcoming atmosphere and lots of activities to keep Mum busy, with the live entertainment
being her favourite. Inside, all the rooms and lounges are very comfortable and beautifully furnished with Mum's room having a lovely view of the gardens. The food is excellent and fabulous homemade cakes are always available for residents and relatives. It is so good to know that Mum is in such good hands and we could not thank you all any more. Thank you.

My wife moved to Hill House about a year ago, after the care home she was in gave notice that they were not able to provide the care she requires. All the staff at Hill House have shown her great affection and she has received an outstanding level of care, which means she now seems much calmer and peaceful
than she was when she arrived.
I am always very impressed by the feeling of warmth I get whenever I visit and the amount of laughter that the staff share with residents. The quality of the rooms, the bedrooms and all the lounges, is first class with a very high standard of furnishings and fittings. There is a full programme of varied activities which help to keep the residents stimulated.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Hill House.

The staff over the entire of nan's stay have been so helpful, caring and friendly. Nan's final few days, as difficult as they have been, the staff have been incredible. It was always clear how much they cared for her, and you could see she really liked them too. So supportive and always on hand to offer
reassurance and answer any questions. They were so thorough with all their checks and were in regularly and promptly. Nothing was too much for them. I cannot thank them enough for making such a hard time, that much easier.

Every time I came to visit my nan, the staff did everything to make both my nan and I feel as at home as they could. The care and affection shown to nan was second to none and as if they viewed nan as family. Any request was never too big or small, right to the end.

My sister has been at Hill House for over six years. During that time, including last year, I have been impressed by the constant high standard in all aspects of the care and running of the care and dementia home. Since the last review, there have been some challenging new entrants. I am aware of the
care and kindness shown by all who work there, medical and carers, to enable the smooth and happy running to continue of course, there are times when constructive comments need to be made. These are received in an excellent manner and taken seriously.

From the moment we entered this care home, we knew it was where we wanted my sister-in-law to be. Six years on and we have not changed our opinion. It is exemplary in every way. All the staff are delightful, warm and friendly. They communicate with us regularly though we visit at least three to four
times a week. We are confident they will continue to care for her just as effectively until her death.

All the staff are very caring to all residents and appear to be able to spend all the time necessary with each patient.
The overall cleanliness of the home cannot be faulted.

My name is Doug, I am the facilities manager for the Woodlands and Hill Brow Group. I am a qualified electrician and have been in the building industry for nearly 40 years. I was introduced to the team at Woodlands and Hill Brow Ltd when I was involved in the building of Hill House nursing home and then when I designed the electrical systems at Farnham Mill. I take pride in my maintenance team and in providing a safe, well maintained, attractive place for the residents and staff alike to live and work.

I'm Steve, and I have the privilege of working as a Chef at Farnham Mill. It brings me immense joy to be part of a company that truly cares for its employees and fosters a supportive atmosphere. The management team is exceptional, always putting the well-being of both the residents and staff at the forefront.


One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is preparing meals for our residents. I make it a point to engage with each person individually, learning about their favourite foods and drinks. Their happiness is my priority, creating wholesome, delicious, and nutritious meals that they genuinely enjoy.


In addition to my kitchen duties, I also manage the chefs' table and cooking club at both Farnham Mill and Hill House. It’s my passion to encourage our residents to explore their culinary skills and creativity, ensuring that we keep that spirit alive together.
