Trevella House in Birmingham cares for people with learning disabilities and autism. They are supported to be as independent as possible. Staff encourage residents to help out in the garden and do their own shopping.

Residents can prepare their own food, drinks and snacks and are given advice by staff on eating healthily. Staff prepare one hot meal a day for the residents, who are encouraged to make their own breakfast and supper.

Their privacy and dignity is respected and equality and diversity is promoted.

If the residents need to see a GP, dentist, optician, community nurses and psychiatrists, they are supported by staff in accessing these services.
