Dad going into care during Covid was a very worrying and difficult time. Staff facilitating video calls and then pod visits helped enormously. Dad was extremely happy there and loved the food. Can't thank you enough for the love and care shown to him and to us at the end of his life.

The care and compassion shown to my father were exemplary. He liked his time at the Springfield and never had a bad word to say about the place and the team there. To sum everything up, I would say that despite not being allowed to see my father during the pandemic, I have absolutely no regret about
placing him there; he lived another 2-years, I believe because of that decision.

My father spent the last 18-months of his life at this care home. Although he was limited to his mobility, he enjoyed his stay in a very clean and tidy room. The staff could do no more than they could to keep him comfortable and happy, and his last few days, they were very helpful in letting all of
us in to say our goodbyes. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants comfort and cleanliness.

My father has been a resident of the home since February 2020. He was initially with his late wife, and now as a widower, he is very content with most aspects of the home. He loves his room and always appreciates the level of attention and kindness shown to him by most of the carers. There is always
a friendly rapport between him and the staff in general, and Springfield House is a warm, comfortable and inviting place. Apart from when there have been occasional staffing difficulties in the kitchen, he enjoys the range of menu and food quality. A good range of activities is available to residents.

This was the third occasion my wife stayed at Springfield House. I cannot speak too highly of the level of care she has experienced at all times. The facilities are excellent. The level of care, together with the professional, kind and gentle attitude of every member of staff, from management down,
is second to none.

On arrival at Springfield House Care Home, we were greeted at reception by staff, who were very caring and friendly, which being an Army Veteran and suffering from server PTSD and Combat Stress, made me feel at ease. Then shown my accommodation for the next two weeks, which is fantastic. The staff and
home are absolutely fantastic.

Springfield has been a delight to correspond with and is wondrously efficient on the activities side too. The staff are very friendly and caring, and my mother's room was made to look very welcoming with sweet and thoughtful touches. She has only been ber for a few days but, touch wood, is settling
in, and I hope will be very happy here. Tricky reviewing some of the question items so soon!

Lovely, kind staff who go out of their way to make sure my mum is safe, cared for and happy. In fact, it often feels like my mum has several Mums, all looking after her every minute of every day. Springfield House has a lovely family feel to it.

I could not have found a better care home for my aunt from day one she was treated with total respect and a huge amount of compassion regarding her dementia. All the staff in the care home showed a lot of care and love to all the residents. The homes entertainment team ensure that all residents receive
stimulation and consideration for their needs. Springfield House has lovely staff in a lovely home.

Springfield House has been outstanding since the outbreak of Covid-19. It has handled the situation with compassion, sensitivity and professionalism. The staff have gone above and beyond to care for my elderly mum during a time of great uncertainty and worry. Unable to see my mum they have stepped in
to ensure she has every need met - emotional and social. I can't thank the staff enough for their dedication during this pandemic. Simply outstanding!

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“To me kindness treating people as individuals, respecting views of others, promoting independence, promoting dignity and privacy. Always have a listening ear time for others.”


As a Health Care Professional, Dawn has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked in the care sector for many years, Dawn closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Dawn remarked:


“It is great seeing a service grow and improve, working with Colleagues to develop in their careers and making Residents feel part of a big family and having a say in their care.”


Dawn has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievements being losing a significant amount and participating in an empowering photoshoot to celebrate!


Outside of work, Dawn enjoys holidaying in her caravan off the boarders of Scotland and spending time with her family and 3 dogs.
