My mother was a resident at Raleigh Mead for around 2 years until her passing last month. The care provided was excellent, and the staff were wonderful. I never had any worries whatsoever. I was kept very well informed on matters of mum's health and well-being. I visited mum 2 - 3 times a week and witnessed
how much mum was respected and always treated with dignity. The staff and management are first class; they showed genuine affection for mum and our family. I remain indebted to them. Thank you.

My dad spend 2 years at Raleigh Mead in that time he received outstanding care he always looked clean and smart, he laughed with the staff and enjoyed his food! The staff were outstanding they loved and cared for him as if he was their own dad. In his decline towards the end of his life he was treated
with love, compassion and skilled professionalism. I was comforted and treated with respect at all times. The staff are outstanding and a credit to the manager.

My stay at Raleigh Mead was excellent from April to November when I was able to leave as fit as a fiddle. I went there with only a few days left to live, but thanks to the wonderful care and my God's answer to prayer, I was able to leave after only 7 months. At home I can now do washing up, ironing,
shower myself all thanks to Raleigh Mead.

I cannot speak highly enough of Raleigh Mead Care Home. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and always go above and beyond to ensure the residents are comfortable and well-looked after. When I visited a member of staff spent lots of time being patient and encouraging to help my dad eat his lunch even though they were very busy. I find all the staff very helpful and caring towards my dad at all times. When we visit we are always made to feel welcome and supported. I would like to thank

So lovely to spend some time with Mum in the lounge this morning. The visit from the nursery children was wonderful and we enjoyed singing nursery rhymes together. Great to see Mum so happy and relaxed, she clearly has a close bond with the staff who are all very caring and friendly.

My wife receives 24/7 excellent nursing and general care from a wide range of friendly staff. She is also encouraged to participate in a range of activities as allowed by her condition. She eats a balanced diet and is very satisfied with the standard of meals. The accommodation is comfortable and clean.

Quite outstanding. My partner is being looked after and cared for absolutely brilliantly. She is as comfortable and content better than she would be anywhere else. The staff, without exception, are patient, dutiful and compassionate.
Every aspect of this care home is immaculate and I simply cannot
understand why the CQC has not graded Raleigh Mead 'Outstanding', it is rightly deserved.

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2012

I joined Eastleigh in 2012 as a Registered Nurse. Since then, I have developed my skills, especially in Dementia Care, and became the Lead Nurse for Dementia until I took over the responsibility of Registered Manager for Eastleigh Raleigh Mead in the Summer of 2021. I am passionate about making Eastleigh a home, and an extended family, for all our residents, relatives and staff.


In my free time, I am a member of Barnstaple Pilot Gig Club and spend most of my weekends competing in Regattas around the Southwest, managing my Junior Crew or Coxing Training sessions on the River Taw.
