St Catherines View is a unique dementia care home, having been specially designed to suit the care needs of residents with conditions like Alzheimer's disease.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

The home's interior is made up of five small house groups that allow specialist nurses to achieve high standards of dementia care, through personalised packages and in surroundings that are beneficial to those living with memory loss.

Colton Care show every diligence and professionalism in caring for our mother, who has gained physical and mental strength since entering the nursing home. The family can genuinely relax, knowing our mother is well looked after.

Dad received excellent care during his time at St Catherine's View, during which time his Alzheimer's disease was worsening.
Following a few weeks in hospital for a serious infection our chosen preference was for him to receive palliative care st St Catherine's View. His last few days of life were
made as comfortable as possible and the care provided excellent. My immediate family and I were there when dad passed away. The kindness, dignity and genuine compassion from the staff of St Catherine's View was much appreciated by my family and I.

We were welcomed to the home by all staff in a warm, friendly manner. My mother has improved so much from being here about a month, interacting with others and eating properly, the friendly staff encourage her to be up and dressed. Qualified nurses give reassurance that the meds are correct and working
in the right way. Good all round feel and good surroundings.

I am constantly amazed at the patience the carers show towards my mum. They really know her and know how to look after her. It is not easy to care for someone who is so negative and sometimes disruptive! Thank you.
The only reason I have scored some 'good' is that there is no 'very good' to tick. All
my 'goods' are really 'very good' and 'excellent' really does mean excellent!

From first arrival to date everything has been entirely satisfactory, and I am pleased and hugely relieved that my wife is at St Catherine's View. I very much appreciate the use of the excellent Guest Suite! The non-slip surface in the shower, is the best I've known. Your staff are remarkable, particularly
the care assistants. But at meal times, between feeding residents and the other duties, they can be really stretched and there appears to be no spare capacity in the event of any problem arising.

I am a regular weekend visitor and as I have to travel some distance I regularly stay over at the care home on a Saturday night, if of course the guest room is available without exception the carers, receptionists and other staff are always friendly and most accommodating. In October 2015 I suffered
a stroke whilst staying at the home. The nurses and carers were extremely kind and allowed me to stay over when the hospital discharged me just before midnight on the Sunday night. Most of my good markings would be very good if that category existed. For such a large home a happy place to visit and very comfortable.

Both of my parents reside in St Catherines and I cannot imagine any other place where either would receive any better care and attention than they currently do.
The facilities and care provided are tailored to suit both of their very different needs which is commendable.

A warm welcome awaits one on each and every visit, a smile, a greeting, a reflection on recent activities. The staff are amazing, real team work, the carers so patient and understanding of everyone's individual needs, the housekeeping team attentive to every small detail, it's like a 5 star hotel, the
catering team are exceptional, beautifully prepared and presented food at any time of day, the laundry service equally good, maintenance team always checking things should be as they wish, the garden an oasis of calm, social carers / activities work so hard in very difficult situations but never give up. The residents are always well presented, hair and nails attended to and attention paid to details of relatives requests. Difficult situations are diffused with dignity and respect for all.
